Wonderful inspiration!!!!! Proof that the only thing that holds us back is ourselves!!!! ✊🏽
Well I don't know - if she wants to be a commercial pilot (fly jet airliners), she probably will be refused, as well as anyone who has vision deficiency etc. So in this case I would wonder whether it's ourselves or someone/something else that is holding us back.
Elani Aniyvwia By and large I agree and remember that tptb often like it that way, saves them a job!
Its all in the mind
Ro lf
vision would be more important to flying than limb ability. If you could manipulate the controls there is no reason she couldn’t be a commercial pilot
@@elanianiyvwia8687 hi
The little plane she flys is an Ercoupe, built in the 40s to have coordinated flight controls so there are no pedals down on the floor. Its perfect for her, a very safe airplane. She is very determined, and very blessed.
@HDaviator There is logic to the concern.
I have flown many types of commercial aircraft as well as Design/Develop/service.
Under normal conditions I would not hesitate to fly with her.
Under extreme weather conditions with turbulence I have no reservations that she would have extreme difficulty controlling her physical position in the aircraft resulting in the control of the aircraft being compromised.
Outside of that, she is one very special and extremely talented human being. Very impressive.
Jessica you are an inspiration and a walking example for all of us that are full of excuses. You go girl!!!! You rock! And I simply LOVED your book: "Disarm your Limits" is a page-turner and incredibly motivational. You take the word 'Impossible' and turn it into 'I'm possible" and prove that there really is no such work at impossible.
Cari I like what you write
I read about Jessica Cox in my devotional, had to watch this with my kids to draw some inspiration. You are simply amazing!!! Love you Jessica
i flew with her(: and that was my first time flying!
sarah soto True? I wish I had that luck
so cool!
You are nuts
Thanks for being a Miss Deborah Downer, Matthew. Good to hear it Sarah. That's a first flight to remember. I saw her at Osh Kosh this year for the first time. I can't wait for next year.
@@coffeeseven Go fly with her Rick.
Wow, Jessica you are amazing. I am 57 and just starting my PPL. You make it look so easy, and beautiful plane you have there.
Probably early 1980’s there was a young woman with no arms working at the Federeal Job Information Center in Indianapolis, IN. Did everything with her feet/toes. What an inspiration. I’m 70 and I’ve never forgotten her (drive, spirit and determination)! Who knows who and how many people you will inspire!
You are inspiration to me who have foot drop who dream to be a pilot. I’m too afraid that I can’t but seeing you now. I feel more determine
As a person that was born without hands i was amazed by you !!! :)

You give my wife and I hope. Our 3 year old was born without arms, and we keep the mind set that he will be able to do whatever he wants. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

Awesome medam... your thinking very high medam and your hard work also..🙏🙏🙏
Wow you are an inspiration. I currently go to flowing wells high school, and one of my teachers told me about you. I wish you the best!
Hi sis, you are an incredible creation of god !!!!
You are much more capable than any normal human beings .. 👍🏻👍🏻
God bless you Yessica 🙏🏻✈️😜 very inspiring , you’re awesome
Man, im in training to be a pilot and I find it hard enough with all my limbs. Damn thats impressive, Congradulations to her.
That is absolutley amazing. It was a privlege to be able to see this vid.
Jessica, you are absolutely great! You are intelligent, beautiful and extremely strong. God bless you!
I had to look up the plane which she was flying as I couldn't believe it either. She flys an ERCO Ercoupe which uses a a two-control system linked the rudder and aileron systems.
This type of plane does NOT have rudder peddles (first that I heard for me!) and is considered a beginners plane that has automatic yaw correction.
Jessica is one amazing girl
Oh my, I discover you just now and I find you utterly awesome. Not only you are pretty but what you do is amazing, and of course I was even more pleased when I saw that you fly! I wish so many people can see that. So now I subscribe to your channel and I will try to follow what you do and post. Please excuse my poor English, greetings from Geneva.
Really I hats off. Such a inspiring personality
Jessica Cox is such an inspiration! I love her!
Well Jessica, I can only say you are simply awesome, hats off to you!!
WOW!! and WOW!!
Jessica, We salute thee ! You are a great source of inspiration
You are awesome Jessica, Blue Skies!
You are awesome Jessica - the Ercoupe looks like a fun little plane.
Late I come to know you.
Great personality of of all time!
Amazed at your determination and perseverance.
May the Lord always fly with you
Finally a perfect application for the Ercoupe!
There was the women in the 1950th flew the Ercoupe who had no legs! Also many people flew this Rudderless wonder who were parallelized from the waste down!
Her Lucky flying T-shirt says 'look ma, no hands'. I laughed so hard. This girl is awesome.
Very inspiration young lady she is proof that one is only handicap if one lets them selves be
@FTStratLP The Ercoupe has interconnected roll and yaw controls. Voilà!
I recently saw her at the New England Air Museum. She was amazing
I just met her yesterday and pick up her from the hotel..its an honor from me
She is really extra ordinary, and one of the kind. We need to learn from her that Yes human can made everything possible!
like ssssaaafff said, the ercoupe 415 has no rudder pedals. To add to that, her sport pilot certificate does limit her to fly this make and model only.
How did you get the FAA Medical Certificate ?
What about the rudder pedal? If it is connected to the yoke, it would be difficult- if not impossible - to take off or land in crosswind and to recover from spin !
The important bit they left out was that it's an ERCO Ercoupe which has no rudder pedals. The yoke is linked to the rudder and ailerons allowing coordinated flight with just the yoke.
Puffmac1 what about when you need to fly uncoordinated? Such as in a crosswind landing? Truly inspirational but wouldn’t be safe in a crosswind.
How can you NOT love her?!?!? She is awesome!
No words to describe her talent
🙏🙏🙏
*AWESOME* 👍😎❤
You are gifted.
This woman is an inspiration.
That's great - I'm happy to see this and wish her the best. I was curious how she operated the rudder pedals - I read the comments and found out that she flies an airplane that has the rudder pedals linked to the ailerons. So now I wonder how the lack of direct rudder control would affect cross-wind landings, but apparently people are flying it in cross-wind without too much trouble.
The Ercoupe is an amazing aircraft it's the first production airplane to have Tricycle gear. I believe the Ercoupe can land in higher cross winds then a piper, or Cessna not sure if that is really true.
Awesome Meeting you at Pearson yesterday!
Your determination to achieve gave a huge inspiration to whom ever thinks that achieving any goal is far and difficult thank you thank you keep up the hi spirit and show us more great videos 👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏
Hatsoff to Jessica.
Awesome!👍👍
Amazing I couldn’t imagine doing that 👍
SERA UM VIDEO MOTIVACIONAL EXIBIDO NO PRIMEIRO DIA DE AULA EM UMA ESCOLA DE PERIFERIA ONDE TUDO É MUITO DIFÍCIL ! THANK YOU JESSICA COX !
What a courageous woman
Who's operating the Rudder pedals? Amazing work regardless, but just wondering how she does it
***** Awesome! Thanks for the reply!
+Jessica Cox we are proud of you I r just amazing
Jonathan Castillo The Ercoupe has no rudder pedals. The aileron and rudder are operated simultaneously with the yoke.
@@jessicacox thanks Captain, I was wondering what happens with the rudder pedals as well.
She's amazing
Very inspirational
God Bless you, you gave me strength
That's incredible.... Just when I think that most of us are fat, stupid, lazy whiners, someone like Jessica comes along and restores my faith in us.
Proud to be Filipino!! Mabuhay ka Jessica!
Wow, nice flying Jessica. Congrats!
is the rudder connected to the ailerons in this plane? Very inspiring by the way :D
Yes! The Ercoupe was designed to connect them in order to make it easier and safer to fly.
@@jessicacox Wow I didn't know that a plane like that existed! Thanks alot for replying, and also inspiring me alot! It's so amazing to see people rise way above the challenges that live has given them 💪💯
Way to go! I like that you faced your fear of flying as much as anything. I notice the reporter didn't get in the plane with you, just mounted a camera...hahaha. I would have, looks like it would be a fun flight.
As others have mentioned, very cute too. Keep accomplishing!
Awesome.... You're an inspiration to us all !!!!
What a great inspiration...
OMG SO TALENTED AND FLEXABLE this deservse a like for sure!
Ohh my! Hats off to you! High five!!!!!
Dear Jessica,
I admire you !
Oh wow! So much inspiration!!
Technically she is not a private pilot, she is a "sport pilot". In all likelihood she would be unable to appease the FAA enough to get a third class medical needed to fly as a private pilot, but the sport pilot license lets an individual fly by using a driver's license as a medical. She's restricted to daytime, VFR flight and flying airplanes that are sport pilot eligible (such as the Ercoupe she's flying in the video). All in all, she's an incredibly impressive young lady.
In school today as a para ( aide ) for 4th grader with no legs. The class in the library reading the book Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus. The librarian played this vid for the kids. Now the assignment is to design something to help people like Jessica!! Inspiring for me!!!
Absolutely inspirational ❤️❤️❤️
Doctors have never come to an explain on why the video stops at 2:53
Because the “why” isn’t important. The beauty and inspiration of her life is where the focus should be.
Saying something is extraordinary for one person but not another I would in a way see as an insult. It expresses that you think some factor about said person is simply a limitation.
Jessica Cox, tienes el milagro de Dios.... Sigue adelante en tu vida.
No Ma. No hands... lol :-) ... Incredible story
Wow very great motivational human being... 🙏🙏🙏
UN BILEVEBLE JESSICA COX MAM ITS SOO AMAZING I NEVER SEEN SUCH PERFORMANCE LIKE YOU............REALLY GTEAT.......!!!!! WHO IS YOUR MOTIVATION........??? MAM😀
Also do a search of the internet for Tommy (Toes 0r Twinkle Toes) Jacobsen.
This man also born without arms in the 1920's went on to appear in some travelling shows around the world shaving people, piano playing, firing a rifle, etc and when a youngster saved another child from downing in a fast flowing river with the second most highest rise and fall of tides.
Persons like these have the utmost admiration for coping with their handicap???
Wow very inspirational
Wow!!!! Congrats!!!! Now I got no excuse.
Wow!!! Never say never comes to mind.
This is unbelievable! Jessica you have ll my respect!!
I have 2 questions though
- how do you steer the plane on the ground
- and how so you operate the rudder?
No rudder
Wow, that was amazing
You are such an inspiration!
Cute woman...great pilot...may God always fly with you Jessica!
You are such a great girl really hats off
Wow amazing ❣️❤️🥳🥳
What an inspiration yaar👍
Awesome! I'd fly with Jessica. I wonder if Jessica has an adaption for the rudder (steering/yaw) controls?
Edit: There are no rudder/yaw pedals, it's all done via the yoke - EVERY day IS a school day ;-)
Wow i'm totally inspired
Respect!
Really a wonderful angel
Incredible... Absolutly outstanding!
Such an inspiration ❤
love this lady, what a lucky man her husband is, mabuhay ka kabayan!
One could say, she didn't let her fear of flying de-feet her.
;))))))))))))))))))
My previous reaction was primarily pointed towards irvinmanohar who questioned the ability to fly in windy conditions.
Madam u r d inspiration everything 🙏
Wwoowwwwww God blesss you Jessica 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 and No rudder to taxi 😮😮😮😮I'm short and I can't reach some of the planes rudder 😒But just by watching this made me more motivated 👩🏻✈️🛩Like nobody is stopping you from your dreams
