It's good to do the simple stuff off-camera, and I enjoy your films. I'd like to see a little more action, and perhaps a little less expository? Otherwise I like to see the project move along. I wasn't aware the "I Love" kits were Hobby Boss by another name. I like seeing how the engineering and fit of a kit go together before I spend money on a new kit. I appreciate seeing how you have come along. I'll be watching the rest of the series. Thanks for your work.
It’s coming along nicely. I think I’m going with the hobby boss version. It’s just going to sit on the shelf, nothing special. However I would probably add 3D decals to the cockpit though. It’ll be interesting to see how you do the paint on this one.
im kind of curious as to why the exhaust trunks are necessary, my thought is you could basically cut the trunk in two in the location where the exhaust fan fits in so you can glue them and paint them and just place the painted fan in afterwards. Although im guessing there's some locating tab or something i cant see in the video that if removed would make it more work than its worth to get a good fit in the end.
This doesn't appear to be any better than the Academy kit. You also get a smoked canopy with the Academy kit. That being said it's got a better shaped nose and I would definitely have a go at building this one.
The academy kit is very hard to get the fuselage pieces together. I built it, and it took like a day to get it together. And the intakes have a bad seam in the same place as this one. Academy has a lot more parts, and the weapons bays are very very detailed, and the smoke canopy is nice. As we often wish a mash-up of the kits would be nice.
So, this model is overrated for what it contains, because, the price tag is very high and you get simple (Very detailed) plastic. Regardless, It’s coming along nicely.
Great build, I have on order and will your vlog as reference.
Thanks for watching, glad you found it helpful. Richie

I wouldn't bother. All glass cockpit, no switches and dials like older aircraft.

I just wanted to say the same. I do all sorts of these workarounds when parts are not visible ...
just a thought but could you not have assembled those intakes, take care of the seams, paint it and then paint the fan blades with a brush?
That is an idea. But when I looked at reference pics the seam is there in real life

Academy kit is OOP so this may be the only option for many.

Acadamy kit is way off shape wise... hasagawa is the best, but this loo,s pretty good
@@sekabkilo22rangedog8 I'm now building the Hasegawa Raptor. I have to agree it's the best.

Don’t disagree. Started with paint and it is looking the business. Just heard Jetmads are bringing out a resin/ 3d printed 1/32 F-22 kit. Richie
@@RWHobbies it will be EXPENSIVE for sure
