great tips... love your tip to cover the bed with old blanket, when we sleep on hotel beds and we are too tired to take a shower as soon as we come back home, we can simply change clothes, sleep on that old blanket and our beds will not get germs...
a few extra I follow and has been useful
1) sprinkle baking soda 1 cup and 1 tsp dish soap in all the sinks which discourages bugs from seeping through pipes on to the counters (after we come back from the trip pour vinegar on it and after half hour run hot water to rinse)
2) hide laptop or other gadgets in laundry baskets or least expected areas of the house (charger is on the table or bins though)
3) charge the phone previous night itself and keep an extra charger and multi plug(many hotels do not have enough outlets)(if driving by car, carry an extra car charger)
4) write appointment dates or other important info and stick it on the fridge so when we come back, we can plan for the next event
5) one time we had a pipe burst and our bathroom floor was flooded with water, so we turn off the water supply before leaving for trips longer than 2-3 days
6) plan for the dish that needs to be prepared for the first day after we return from the trip, chop those veggies separately and freeze them... also measure dhaal, rice and put it in the bowl which I use to cook before we leave ,cover it and leave it on the counter..and add water as soon as we arrive...soak it for 30 minutes and cook it...

Ma'am I would like to add a few points
1.we have to slightly open the mosquito mesh window and we can keep bedrooms doors open so as to avoid the mushy closed smell we get when there is no airflow/ventillation over a period of time
2.please unplug your room heaters if you are using any as they may be in thermostat mode and may get on when we are away
3.never switch off refrigerator as it may develop mold due to the moisture present
4.we may put our plants in the entrance way so that others can water it
Yeah it may work for some ppl but I don't think its a good idea for rainy season. Also, the place where I live, there are lot monkeys here. So, it is not advisable to keep even slightest of the window open. You can imagine what can happen in our absence. I immediately open all the windows and switch on the fans after coming back home. The smell goes in 10-15 minutes.
True.. after a vacation, getting back on routine is a biggest task

Also, please make a video on tips to set up a temporary kitchen when you are renovating your kitchen while staying at home. I have observed that there are so many videos from youtubers from USA/UK etc but there isn't any Indian video available on the topic. In foreign countries they have huge apartments mostly with a basement so that they can easily create a temporary kitchen. Whereas in India we have space constraints so it's a big challenge.

One tip from me😬always turn off water inlets of washing machine and water purifier…once I forgot and got call from our building society , I immediately called a friend who keeps my keys and she turned off purifier water inlet 🙃
For milk, you can keep tetra pack milk at home always, in case of any last minute failed delivery or even if we are back from vacation. Sometimes we get unexpected milk requirements...for all such situations tetra pack milk becomes saviour
Yes, Tatra pack is good for contingency but I neither use it nor recommend it as it full of preservatives. If there are no artificial preservatives, the milk can’t last for so many months. Keeping extra packet of regular milk in the freezer serves the purpose well.

I have a permanent set of packing lists categorised by purpose - like work trip, family beach trip, wedding trip etc. Then each list is further subdivided into toiletries, kids, day of travel etc. really helps pack systematically.

Indeed so many chores to do before n after travelling. Home is just one part.. many things travel related also have to be done. N after coming back putting all back in their places.
