From "Murder, She Wrote" to "Beauty and the Beast," Lansbury's 70+ years of experience in film and theatre are explored in conversation with her niece, Felicia Lansbury Meyer, who teaches in the Theatre Department.

She will be 95 this October. She has survived hundreds of the great actors and actresses and I'd still love to see her in more. Everyone of her roles leaves you feeling good.
I was so shocked and saddened. I will miss her terribly. Her grace, her talent, her beauty. Rest in peace Dame Angela.
The more I watch Mrs. Angela Lansbury's work, the more I respect her talent. And when I watch her in interviews, well, she simply blows me away. What a class act!
I watched this after she passed away and was glad to see that she remained healthy in mind and body until the end. Amazing lady.

Angela Landsbury is a class act. Murder She Wrote is one of my favorites.
It was an honour to sit front row at Blithe Spirit when they were in Toronto. I've never seen anyone get exit applause after their final scene, but you can bet she earned it spades. She easily held the massive theatre in her palm as she performed. When she bowed, her smile expressed all gratitude for her long and fruitful career, knowing it was soon coming to a close. It'll forever be one of those special nights of theatre you never forget.
This appears to be her last public appearance 2 yrs ago and how sprightly she is at 94 and switched on mentality too such an aura about her there is tremendous depth and wisdom in this human one of a kind. She passed today 😢 what a shock her health seemed amazing but her body gave up peacefully in her sleep. Murder she Wrote I loved so much growing up. God's eternal blessings 🙏🙏💔💔
I was lucky to have met her and her husband "Pete" when I had the great fortune of working on her TV show in early 1991. I was in AWE. Loved them. Loved her. I still look back with such fondness. What a great sense of humor. What an Education for me! I will never forget this. She IS a great Gift to all of us.

My wife Sharron & I love her. Sharron died 7-11-2019 & I am very lonely everyday since I knew her since she was 10 & were married for 62 yrs. I watch Murder She Wrote every night & it makes me feel wonderful inside like Sharron is laying beside me. She also thought Angela's chin was like hers. We just just plain adored & admired everything about her. I would give a lot to meet Angela.

Miss Lansbury is a woman steeped in grace, humility, love, talent. I've seen a few interviews with her over the years and I never heard her bad mouth another actor --even when she was pressed for the "dirt"! What a joy she has given me to be able to watch her many movies and Murder, She Wrote series and see the depth of her talent. Long live the movie and theatre queen!!
Dame Angela was an incredible English lady that we, in Britain, were so pleased to have shared with the USA. Sorely missed!

One of my favorite things about this interview is the look of admiration on Felicia's face for her aunt. Since her death I have watched all but 2 of Angela's movies. She was indeed a great actress. She could play any role with any accent. Amazing!

What a living treasure. You can still detect the English accent when Angela Lansbury speaks. A longer interview would be wonderful.
The enormity and vastness of her talents are unfathomable. I absolutely adore this great lady and will forever wish I had experienced her phenominal performance on stage. I am so grateful to have "Sweeney Todd", "Driving Miss Daisy" and "Little Women" on DVR as well as continual reruns of "Murder She Wrote" available, especially those dual-role episodes in London. Treasures all! We are truly blessed to have had Angela Lansbury in our lives. I only hope she knows how much she is loved and valued.
Dame Angela Lansbury is all class and open about all that has happened in her life good and bad.. My favourite Dame along with Julie Andrews, Maggie Smith. My favourite USA actress is Katherine Hepburn. All 4 women have talent to burn. Theatre,movie or television they are the best.
About ten of the "Murder, She Wrote" crew used to come in to the bank I worked at, and I asked all of them individually what Ms. Lansbury was like. They all said that she was one of the nicest and most caring people that they ever knew....
Oh I wish Angela Lansbury were my Aunt !! Nobody like her, for sure. Someone you greatly admire and look up to. Can't say enough good things about this woman - just an absolute gem.

How fortunate you are! I still haven't quit crying! My mom and I watched murder she wrote every week, even when I grew up I don't think we ever missed a show. Then, when we found out that cabot cove was really right up the road we were shocked! We got to meet her a few times, even had lunch a few times together. My mom made a cobbler and we all had it together. She was so gracious. She reminded me of my mom. Now they're both gone, and I'm really sad. I'm so sorry for your loss. She was unforgettable!! TRULY! 💔

I love her...such a class act. Was on holiday in USA and found out she was playing Madame Arkarty in Blythe spirit in LA, so took my family to see her. Amazing, such a memory.
I was in the third row, front and centre watching her in Blithe Spirit in London. As soon as she came on, it’s like she sucked the air out of the theatre. You could hear people gasp then of course burst into applause. And that’s before she uttered a word. Absolute legend.
And here in Los Angeles too!!! I'm so thankful you've expressed this same phenomenon I experienced here. ❤️ She received applause when she first walks on stage and exits the scene.... and oh my the standing ovation at the end. Her face was filled with gratitude and radiated her humble heart ❤️

She was 19 when she made her debut in a small part in "Gaslight". And even then you could see that she was phenomenal and that she was born to be a movie actress.
I saw her in Sweeney Todd , a superb actress.
I have loved this woman from Samson & Delilah to Gaslight to Murder She Wrote. She is such a talented legend and she has given me such pleasure.

Might I remind you that there was life before "Murder, She Wrote" too. I always enjoy re-watching "Mrs 'Arris, Goes to Paris", also staring that other legend, Diana Rigg as well as Omar Sherif; before that, "The Manchurian Candidate", "Bedknobs and Broomsticks", her list of credits is almost endless just as she herself, is timeless.

I very much enjoyed this video! My favorite characters of hers were Mrs. Fletcher (Murder She Wrote) and Mrs. Potts (Beauty & The Beast). I would put my children to bed at night with a recording of her singing and she would say, "Off to the cupboard with ya now Chip, it's past your bedtime." And they would go! I wonder how many hundreds of children she was "nanny" for like this. Now I have to look up the other movies she did so I can enjoy her skills all over again.

Few people deserve the title "legend". Dame Angela Lansbury certainly does.
She portrayed two extremes of motherhood....the first was the mother of the "Manchurian Candidate" pure evil of a mother AND then there was the ditzy, doting, and loving mother of Elvis Presley in Blue Hawaii. She left us many tv episodes and movies that are family fare to us gr-grannies and their children, and in real life a role model of a true, protecting, loving mother for her children.
She always had a wonderful energy 💕

The fact that I used to watch Murder She Wrote with my nana who sadly passed this year at the ripe age of 96 when I was a small boy to now, 24 years old (got it on pause whilst I watch this) is remarkable to me and I’m so happy that she’s still alive doing what she loves.
Watched several biographies since she passed and I really enjoyed this, sorry for your loss. So many wonderful things to see her in and she was so fascinating.
