Sanjay, you never let us know, how much of ginger, how much of garlic, and how much of jaggery to add? the jaggery you have added, seems a bit in excess, dont you think?
Acutally I ate this in Vijaywada once and decided to learn it. I followed the video, still it came out very bitter not sure why? I did not take tamarind pulp instead I put tamarind directly because I wanted to store it for some time.. I did fry the ginger still it came out bitter.
from wiki: Pickled items include mango, lemon, lime, cauliflower, carrot, radish, tomato, onion, pumpkin, palm heart, lotus stem, rose petals, ginger, Indian gooseberry, garlic, green or red chili peppers, kohlrabi, gunda, kerda, zimikand (purple yam), karonda, karela (bitter melon), jackfruit, mushroom, and turnip.
Dosas ( crepes of fermented lentil or rice or combination of these) or idlies.. these are south indian dishes. They are pretty easy to prepare and the best breakfast ever..
