Eco Mode and a Short Wash Cycle with the Capsule Dishwasher

- Here's a power and water evaluation of Eco Mode followed by a standard 15 minute wash cycle on the Capsule Dishwasher. It seems they have similar power requirements with the heater running for a larger percentage of the short cycle. This would work well in an off grid situation.
Here's the company website. They have more videos and answers through their own testing.

I like the fact that you showed how many watts this appliance uses!😊 Thank you.😊😊😊
You’re very welcome. I hope it was helpful. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for all the videos. I just backed their new 2.0 version solo. Since youve been using it for awhile now, how have you liked it overall?
Thanks for the comment. I do like it. I only use it to wash dishes now, not for the other features. It works great for one or two people used daily. I like how easy it is to track water usage with it. I do wish it had a second rack for small things. The 2.0 seems to be fixing this. It should be a good upgrade.
Thank you
You're welcome
Interesting product. I didn't catch if the Eco mode was available for all time cycle selections. Also, is it prohibited from using hot water to start with? And of course, I'm in Texas with 100 degree temps and a newer pex pipe closer to the ground surface. Right now, cold water comes out hot water without turning to hot water. :)
Oops... was logged in with my Google Apps acct... hopefully I'll get updates this way. :)
Thanks for the comment. I have used 200 degree water to start with once. It seems to tolerate it fine. I didn’t notice the plastic supply tank getting soft and I’m sure it would do fine if you were connecting directly to a water source instead of filling the tank too.
It also seems that eco is its own cycle. I haven’t noticed the ability to change the cycle time when I use that setting. Maybe others have noticed a different experience. I think mine is one of the early models.
Why is a dish-washing cycle 2.5 hours? Wouldn't it be better to hand wash?
Thanks for the comment. I considered that too. If I was just washing a few things, hand washing makes more sense. However, I'm planning on multi-dish meals with a higher dish count and I found the amount of water needed to rinse after washing by hand was about 5 times more than using the dishwasher. We'll see if it's worth it.
