Don't get me wrong, I love every era of BTS however as a fan since 2013, old BTS style (dark, wild, aggressive, bold, rock/hiphop-ish, raw) is my favourite BTS.

SUGA is so versatile in his rap. You should hear him in the other two songs, then of course we know how he can rap based on the tone of the song, or the person he is collabing with. It's been a while since we heard him spit like this and it was great to hear again!
J-Hope is solo because they're taking a break from making songs as BTS, and they want to release each a solo stuff, so they grow independently, and come back for BTS with more knowledge. They're not disbanding, they're stuck with each other for life :D

They just announced that BTS is on hiatus while all the members work on solo projects. J-Hope is first up with his debut solo album releasing in July, followed by his solo Lollapalooza show. I'm guessing this probably means Jin will be starting mandatory military service later this year too.

for yoongi's enunciation, a lot of that is skill and style but korean also lends itself well to rapping cos it uses a lot of vowel sounds and a lot of words end with vowels so word flow is much easier than in say, english, for example.

The three rappers are quite distinct and among the very best. They are All mega-creative and are students of the genre, so much so that they can be highly inventive with different eras of Rap and Hip-Hop. The fact that three rappers of such distinction are in one group is extraordinary. Bang PD built the group around RM whom he felt is so talented that he vowed to help him reach his potential.

It's not the first time someone from the rap line has done a solo show (RM headlined at ALL FORCE ONE (he brought SUGA and j-hope with him) - i think this is a really well timed and great opportunity for j-hope who had said back when he re-released blue side that he was really working on developing his style and making a more "mature" side of his craft. I have no doubt that they all really want him to grow, develop and succeed in his music and headlining at LP is the perfect opportunity to do it. Individually each rapper has released solo work, but between the 3, j-hope was def the junior and so this is a great moment to have him show [ the world bc we ARMY already know ;) ] that he's on par with the two original underground rappers in the group. AND YES what makes the rap line so strong is that they are 3 completely different MCs and don't just bring the same sound to each verse they put out.
Among the rapline J-Hope is the most talented and an all-rounder performer, he is the ACE of the group. He is also the most ready to go solo.
