Just bought this 1 week ago. Loaded up with your presets, my goodness its fantastic! Have you considered making a video where you combine a block on the stomp with a tonex pedal. It would be nice to hear your impression of adding a tonex pedal as a part of the stomp chain.
Aside from a Looper, It's the only "Pedal" I've used for the last 4 years. I get more out of it every day, but because it's so jammed packed with useful features, it's taken a while to learn well. There's probably a lot more it can still do that I haven't taken advantage of yet. Amazing gear!
Best piece of kit I’ve ever purchased. I’ve used it for every worship gig and every cover band gig I’ve had for the past 5 years. I’ve used it with amps, direct and have consistently gotten great tones no matter the gig type or environment. Can’t recommend it enough.
Absolutely the Stomp. The centre of my big board (which has other Multi FX too), also the heart of my smaller board for live use and also on its own for smaller gigs. The longer I've had it the more I appreciate it I think.....really nothing else close. And yes, the Native version is the icing on the cake....really surprised that no-one else seems to realise how important this is. Finally, lovely paddy preset......use these a lot as an often solo performer and it's amazing the Stomp can do that and a decent amp. I do have the Plethora X3 and like the sounds, some of the mods in particular are nicely different to the Stomp's ones. the X1 looks like a good buy (cheaper than the HX One but not as many FX but a slightly different flavour).
The HX stomp has been the most heavily used piece of equipment I’ve ever bought. Right now I’m using it in front of my deluxe reverb so that if my amp ever fails me during a gig, I have my stomp that I can run direct to FOH.
Probably the most versatile pedal that appeals to the majority of players. For me it’s part of a back up solution. The software has limitations as the modulation and reverb effects are pretty average but the hardware can’t be faulted.
I use mine along with theM-vave chocolate midi 4 switch pedal. Each switch can be used short press and long press, giving a total of 8 switches to add to the stop, plus another external pedal too.
Still the best bit of guitar kit I’ve ever owned. Great sounds in the box plus I got Helix Native for £4< which is now my go to guitar plugin for recording. Close second would be my Boss BD2 Bluesdriver which has been on my board for over 10 years and never disappoints.
HX Stomp is hands down the best multi-stomp pedal out there. Its biggest advantage is its palm-sized size, but its weakness is its lack of DSP power. I know that. And I don't need to add up to the H90, but with the GFI Synthesia and EX1 it's perfect now. Can FM3 use dual amps? Does H90 or BigSky MX have many amp models?
I’ll say it. John Cordy with ONLY an HX Stomp sounds better than literally any of his subscribers with any rig on any budget. He has a great creative ear, he practices the guitar more than he watches UA-cam, and the HX Stomp is all you need anyways.
I’m torn between springing for the HX Stomp or the HX Stomp XL, the latter for its extra foot switches. It’s also just $50 more though has a larger footprint. Any thoughts from owners of both? Thanks!
It really needs to be updated now.... Smartphone app for a better screen experience and non PC usage, maybe a Flux mode as the HX One has. Many other modelling companies have updated their units already eg HeadRush/Boss/Hotone etc.
I keep thinking that I’ll sell mine and replace it with some JHS Series 3 or other brands in the same price range. My biggest issue is programming for live use.
Never got on with mine. Thought it sounded ok but I'd stick it middle of the pack. It does a lot of things pretty well but I didn't find it inspiring or as good as other solutions personally

HX Stomp is the GOAT. I'd love a version two with more DSP and BT or Wifi so I can wirelessly edit it. I'd also like a phone editor.

For what the Stomp does, it is a great value. You can pick up a use one for as low as $480 and have it be your whole rig, amps included.

The first half of the intro is absolutely gorgeous, right up my street. (not a fan of long, soaring solos/legato hell 😊)

Harley Benton has a great pedal board with build in power supply ready voor the HXStomp.
The stomp is the little box that could do anything and, by how everybody sems to chase the Tonex, it's going to be like that for a long time
I sold my HX Stomp but after a few months I missed all you can do with it so I bought Stomp XL 👍

I would is the best investment to date, I use the HX with York Scott Henderson IR and compressor in front (EGO), and can go head to head with Fractal.
