love my corsair. Action is perfect and it is probably the best entry to crossbar lock. deka 2 magnacut was sharp, but so was the handle, thumb studs, and lock.

This immediately reminds me of the old HK 14205 that i always wanted but they were discontinued. Not a bad thing at all. Vosteed has been hitting it lately. I love my crossbar lock Raccoon.

I would love to see aftermarket high tension springs for the Kasept Main street. I posted a video showing installing aftermarket springs, and found the Kansept spring has an unusual geometry that I have not seen on any other crossbar lock. Once I installed the aftermarket springs, the detent was way worse. Apparently the geometry of the OEM spring matters. Definitely worries me if the springs break.

Various tension Omega springs in the box with the knife now there’s a brilliant idea Cheers!

I really like it for the price it's great , I have the green micarta with black stonewashed blade. Cuts good holds an edge well and strops back nice.

Any thought comparing this with the Racoon? Great review btw, these were out of stock at KC and BHQ for the longest time.

I had extra springs with my Raccoon Cross Bar Lock, but didn’t have extra holes for adjusting tension.

Nice looking knife. I really like Nitro V and the green one looks great with a blade that looks acid washed and stonewashed. Had to find it on the Vosteed site, because they aren't showing up on Amazon yet.

I absolutely LOVE Vosteed pocket clips. If Civivi used the same clips as Vosteed, it would seriously elevate their knives.

All civivi knives would benefit from uniformly recessed pocket clips with flat screws.

MC have you ever reviewed any Montana Knife Company knives? I know you aren't big on fixed blades but was wondering your thoughts on materials they use.

God, finally the man puts a proper picture of a knife on his thumbnail. Jesus Christ haha. For too long you just had a picture of a box and I never click on those :P

It reminds me of the BM940 than the Bugout. It is another budget crossbar lock I would love to have.

    Thanks!

Some of their models have adjustment holes in the liners to adjust tension for the omega springs. Would be nice to know if this model has this also.

I feel like I've seen this video before... might've just been the unboxing quickie bc I remember the benchmade/hogue comparison

I have one issue with this knife. If I fail to open or fail to close it, it gets suspended half way open and it’s not easy to shake it closed. It’s smooth and the pivot is not too tight.

  • @themechanicalrabbithole9041

The funny thing is they included an extra set of omega springs with the raccoon which I thought was odd

It looks like the Bugout and the deka had a child. I see lines of both with being different. I like it….

To me it has more of an influence from Les George than the Bugout.

I wanted to love this knife, but in my hands the butt is too small, and the clip is a massive hot spot. Ergos = Raccoon > Corsair.

This is a great looking knife; I wanted the Raccoon with their crossbar lock but I ordered it with the button lock so I’m still needing to try their version out. This looks to fit the bill without me buying the same knife I already have!

    • @not-a-raccoon
      @not-a-raccoon Рік тому
