A real man will know not to cross the boundaries of friendship. He married the wife, not the friend isn't it? The girl is his best friend, he values her as a friend, if the wife keeps making him choose between things he values in life and herself, he will grow resentful overtime. The wife should ask for more boundaries instead and stop being insecure.
According to Islam, we can talk to a non Mahram only when necessary. We are not supposed to be with them in seclusion. We are not supposed to touch a non Mahram.

So... that means a man who lets his friends down is okay? I don't want a man who only has male friends either. The misoginy is through the roof with that kind of men.
