Great job on restoring the vacuum. The seating stone really polished the commutator and made a huge difference to the wind down. It definitely needs a new belt because I can tell because of the sound.
Excellent refurb as usual. My 1701 helix has a warped and bent baseplate and it affects performance and is very very difficult to push. But baseplate for the helix’s are SO CHEAP. A brand new one direct from bissell is $5.49. It is in the standard blue however but I’m sure you could find the purple one is you really wanted purple. I just wanted to let you know about that just in case you wanted to spend $6 on a part.
Did you check and see if the stretchy hose you got would fit on this model? This is essentially the bagless version of the bagged version powerforce that you have that I gave you.
@@VacLab I’m sure you already know this since you have a UA-cam channel dedicated to vacuums but most vacuums have toxic chemicals so you have to take them to a recycling center. Just like phone, laptop batteries. In some states you can get fined for throwing vacuums in the trash
@@One-12937 the only item that is normally considered toxic would be lithium batteries. The remainder is not considered toxic. And if you do a little research you'll find out many recycling centers in the US still bury their waste in a landfill because there's nowhere else to put it. Some even dump their waste in the ocean.

Thanks. They usually smell good afterwards as well.
@@VacLab very nice❤️ cnt wait to see the review
I had a Helix Turbo and I have to say it was a tough thing. I put it through hell and it still worked. Got rid of it when I got my Kirby.
Im a Bissell fan i actually got the one you threw away the helix turbo
It cleaned up nicely
I took apart my Powerforce helix turbo rewind and had one screw leftover 😅

Good to know.
I bet this is going to perform well (for the price) in the pick up tests 👌
For the price. 😄😂
@@VacLab I mean when new price 😂
Very well done. Been wondering for over two years now, Where do you get your music from that you use in these videos?
Free UA-cam music.
@@VacLab Thank you very much for the quick response.
great job sir
That's good you cleaned it up and refurbished it, are you keeping or selling it?
Dunno yet.
Still have it?
Where's the foam circle with a circle in the middle? Where does that go?
In the opening on the left side of the motor. Look for the round red circle.
I took mine apart to clean & now it wont turn back on. What did i do wrong?
Check the switch. Other than that, there's no way I'd have enough info to diagnose your issue.

I'm using yours in another Bissell. But I still have another Bissell stretchy hose from a scrapped machine.
@@VacLab that's what i meant used the scrapped hose from the junked Bissell and use it on this one.
It's my Birthday today! :D
Well happy birthday then. 🎉🎉
Very helpful thank you so much
You're welcome.
We had one at work that was warped also.
You found that on the curb of a street? You’re supposed to take old vacuums to a recycling center.
Not here. We don't have recycling centers for such things. 🤣

The bissell lives another day the motor actually sounds really healthy which I’m surprised by how dirty it was
