Delete their bootres.dll file . it's on C/Windows/boot/resources/bootres.dll
The computer won't be able to boot and it will go straight to a blue screen of death with a Critical process died message. The only fix is to reinstall the operating system 👍

So a scammer called me and said hello (In an Indian accent) so I said “is this the take away” the scammer then said “ no you have problem with computer” then I followed up and said “oh yes ok I would like a creamy chicken korma with nan breads, how much will this cost and is delivery free?” The scammer then said “you are piece of shit” then he hung up. I was laughing my ass off
this should become a thing to try to order food from scammers xD

A couple of regedit changes are more effective than syskey: HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon and change Shell to calc.exe then HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ Windows\ Current Version\Policies\System add DisableTaskMgr and set it to DWORD 1, then reboot the computer. The computer will do all the normal startup except it won't load Windows Explorer, instead it will load calculator and there is little the scammer can do unless they know the few loopholes in Windows. These can be fixed by adding a batch file to the startup that renames the explorer.exe and replaces it with calc.exe and place it in: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] these changes are non-destructive but would require the scammer to restore from backup, which will cost them time and money. [Thank you to those who commented pointing out my errors]

He could create a .reg file with these registry keys in that .reg file and then he can throw the .reg file to the scammers computer and execute it

So I think I've seen this scam before and I've got a pretty good story about it:
Couple of years ago, when I was a kid, i got a call from someone claiming to be from my ISP saying "you have a malicious program on your computer".
Not knowing what the hell that ment as a kid, I passed the phone to my dad who began a conversation.
To be fair, I should of seen the warning lights immediately even at about 12 yrs old; the guy had... a strong accent let's say which I know sounds terrible but all the calls from the ISP that we had received had native accents. Second, why the hell would a ISP know about malicious software? Isn't that the antivirus' job? I mean, maybe if you're monitoring downloads but that's a bit suspect by itself.
Anyway, my dad and the guy on the end of the phone kept talking for a little while, when my dad, suspicious, asked for the guys name.
The response he gave?
'Of course sir my name is PETER PARKER'
Ladies and Gentlemen, Spider-Man was on the end of the phone trying to take control of our computer.
I think my dad gave the perfect response, though:
'So you're spider-man? I'm Clark Kent, y'know, superman! We should meet up!" Then slammed the phone down.
Oh dam!
Your not the only 12 year old that had that happen. I had a call from “Microsoft” regarding to malicious software. The closest it got was being able to use my PC and at that time we never used it for any information as my dad was a boomer so he prefers paper over tech. The moment they started moving their mouse my dad yelled from a distance as he was watching soccer. Then I told him that a person will help with our slow PC. He said to shut it off. Then I talked to the scammer and told him, “hey sorry my dad said I have to shut off the call I am very sorry” the guy was insisting to keep the call. I immediately shut down the program and PC. Yea the only scam I can remember.
There are hostage scams which seem to relegate in South America which is call based and depending on whether you know your relatives enough. It’s pretty messed up. That type of scam actually gets more success because of the big situation in SA.
