@Shrekthe100th There's a simple solution to your problem. Just be more extroverted. Take initiative once in a while. What's the worst that could happen? They say no? Everyone gets rejected at least once. It's a fact of life. But what if they say yes? You never know unless you try!
I was obsessed with this in high-school (over a decade ago) and had such a hard time finding it now I literally started to question if it ever even existed for a moment ha
Same! I remember when my brother was hanging out in my room and started playing it on Limewire or something and it was definitely way before 2011, when this was posted. I finally found this video years later and was so stoked. It was like the recording didn’t exist, and once you hear it you can’t go back to the studio version.
OMG. I just spent 3 hours combing through Spotify for songs I was obsessed with in high school (2003 - 2006), and I kept thinking "there was some remix or live version of APC that i was obsessed with....... what was that?" Just now remembered that it was this 3 Libras live acoustic version. Takes me back to something like fall 2005. This spoke to the depths of my soul over 18 years ago, and it's having the same effect right now...
I was obsessed with this in high-school (over a decade ago) and had such a hard time finding it now I literally started to question if it ever even existed for a moment ha
One of my best friends/loves of my life showed me this version of the song. I was playing it the night before I heard he passed. This song means the world to me.
This was the first version of this song I heard, it’s difficult to go back to the original now. I can’t find it on any streaming platforms so I always return to this same video. The emotion in both the violin and Maynard’s voice hits so much heavier and makes it sound like a whole different song.
I am 36 , loved this album since the beginning and TOOL from the VERY beginning so y'all plz don't laugh at me 💔 this song meant something totally different to me know....but now all I think of is my dog I lost last February after 14yrs 😭😭💔 had her for her ENTIRE life. I still in my heartache expect too much from her and feel she's looking bc I can't let her go and she's just thinking " you don't see me" 😭😭😭
I’m in love with the alternating meter in this arrangement. The original is in 3/4 but this arrangement is in alternating of 7/8, 6/8, and 5/8. Very intellectual.
never have i heard such a familiar sound of a song so beautifully rearanged with unfamiliar sounds but yet its the same song:) Now thats one song that had a beautiful baby named acoustic;)
Yeah man, that was like perfectly said... I really like how you described everything so vividly, and true to how it is.. for real though... That is how you put some words down... lol 🤔🤗😌😎
I love that this one the showcases Maynard's voice a little more and the instrumental acoustics are amazing there's a different feel to it. The first time I heard this song I had no clue it was three Libras until I heard Maynard sing. Two beautiful versions of a very beautiful song- can't get much better than that! 🥳❤️🔥🎶
Threw you the obvious and you flew with it on your back a name In your recollection down among a million same Difficult not to feel a little bit disappointed and passed over when I've looked right through to see you naked but oblivious and you don't see me But I threw you the obvious just to see If there's more behind the eyes of a fallen angel eyes of a tragedy Here I am expecting just a little bit too much From the wounded but I see through it all and see you 'Cause I threw you the obvious to see what occurs behind the eyes of a fallen angel Eyes of a tragedy oh well, oh well apparently nothing apparently nothing at all You don't, you don't, you don't see me You don't, you don't, you don't see me You don't, you don't, you don't see me You don't, you don't, you don't see me You don't see me You don't see me at all
I’ve been continuously playing this video (this version seems to be completely lost elsewhere) for going on 12 years now. I am forever indebted to the person who posted this.🤍Ⓜ️
I walked down the aisle to the instrumental of this song... That should have told everyone everything they needed to know- but even then, they didn't see. They didn't WANT to see... Maybe now that I am gone, they see a little more in retrospect. Probably not, but whatever... I can dream of being seen, of being known. To Mark Brown, from West Plains MO, wherever you are now, you saw SOMETHING. You kissed my scars, and SAW them, and that is more than anyone else has ever really done... I don't know what that is worth, we are both otherwise involved, and YET- I think of you, dude, I DO... -C.D.F, South Carolina
For people who love acoustic music this is a good s it gets! I like acoustic and live at least entertain any song but this song is done especially well!
Yes.. I definitely agree. The acoustic version of songs is almost always the most amazing version. And, depending on the artist, the live version can also be very good. Some artists are way better live.. and some are not. And it also depends on how well the live version is recorded.. like by an amateur, or professionally.. like by the bands people. And, even if the live version is recorded well, you always have to worry about the audience being way too loud during the song.. like screaming, clapping, singing, etc... especially if the band is encouraging them.. like, "help me sing this next part"... Ugh... that is so annoying.. they always sound horrible for one, and for two, it always seems to sound kinda like a cult to me, with everyone singing at once (which I really can't stand), and it is bad enough when I am trying to listen to a nice live version of a song on UA-cam.. but if I ever went to a concert and they were doing that dumb shit, then I would be so pissed.. like, I mean, I didn't pay money to hear a tone deaf crowd sing the songs, ya know... lol.. But anyway, I also always like the other songs on the album that never were on the radio. I like the more deep, emotional, and meaningful songs.. then the poppy, mainstream ones, that they always seem to pick for the radio hits... I think that it is people like you, and me, that really know, and appreciate, amazing music 🎶... enough said 🤩
This is actually the acoustic version of the all main courses remix, off their amotive album... Edit: I didn't see that I made the same exact comment 2 years ago lol ! Oh well..,
Imagine feeling invisible to that one and pushing through it and then 20 years later you find out she had a crush on you at the same time so you were the one that was oblivious and it’s too late. So you start to daydream about what could have been. Then she kills herself. That’s where I’m at.
Was there ever a specific medium for this session in Philly?(cd/vinyl, etc). I remember seeing these songs on Ares back in the day. It's like they sporadically came out of nowhere.
Hey, fellow music head and youtuber here... I was wondering how you're able to post without a copyright strike? No bullshit, I really would like to know... The pain of being invisible to the one you love, something every introvert understands.
too true
the struggle to end everything
There is no struggle to end everything when you realize this is it.

Where at? Bc as far as I can tell the whole thing is 3/4 3/4 2/4 feel, arguably just 4/4 obv.
That violin though. ❤
I love it. I wanna learn how to play eventually, so I can play it like the one in this song.
