- Join us as we embark on a four-day family adventure to Punta Mita, Mexico, a hidden gem just an hour's drive from Puerto Vallarta. We went to the Best beaches in Punta Mita, and we were lucky to be there for the biggest annual festival, the "Fiesta Patronal de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe"! We chose the local experience by staying in an affordable Airbnb (link below) and met an incredible family traveling in a skoolie. We also experienced many Punta Mita food and restaurants! We didnt choose to stay at the Four Season in Punta Mita so dont expect this video to show the luxury of this area. What we did do was really embrace the local culture!
Our days were filled with surfing at La Lancha beach, indulging in delicious tacos, bonding with our new skoolie friends, and experiencing the vibrant festivities. The 4-mile walk to La Lancha beach not only offers stunning views but also leaves you feeling at peace and energized.
Follow our family as we continue to explore the vibrant surroundings of Puerto Vallarta for six weeks and discover new experiences together! Don't forget to subscribe for more family travel adventures with Their Happy Trails.

Hmm. If I didn't know better, I'd think Matt took Li'l Chick [ahem] "surfing". 🤣 Love your video. MX is one of my favorite places to visit & I was smiling the entire video!
lol!!! That would have been a perfect way to say it 🤣🤣🤣
And thank you!! We appreciate you always being tuning in David!
Not what I expected, but awesome !!!! Would have liked to see more waves , secret spots 😂. Thinking this area next trip, Sayulita was awesome town but limited surf points. Don't forget the crocodiles, La Lancha ......Aloha
Hey Steve! Yeah, I got a lot of great waves! I hear of a lot of other brakes around the point, but La Lancha was the one that was always working. Even when it was completely flat in Puta Mita, I’d go to La Lancha and there was fun waves.
We been in this part of Mexico for 2 months now and everyone said go to Punta Mita instead of Sayulita of surf and less tourists. They were right! I’ll post a video of just the surfing 👌🏻👌🏻
Late reply but subscribed. Thanks for your response, going check surf vids. Enjoy ....Aloha
There was a Chick-fil-A ad immediately after you found it a new home. 😂
Lmao!!! That is hilarious 😂😂😂😂 perfect timing 🤣
What time of the year was this festival please?
Early March!
what area to live do you think is best for easy walk to best beach? and for poor people :)
Hey! The beach is fairly close for any accommodations in Punta De Mita. As far as “easy”, the only major hill doesn’t need to be climbed if you don’t book in the fancy pants neighborhood 😄 we stayed at this Airbnb and it was perfect! abnb.me/Btpr26wFbzb
Hope that helps!

What did you do with the chick 🐥? 😢
Well, I had to drop it back off where we found it. There isnt any animal shelters in Mexico! - Matt
