My first Dream Theater concert, standing in first row! :)
Classic Dream Theater is so special to me. The hair, the wardrobe, the high notes, the energy. I love Dream Theater now too, but the old days are just so sweet to relive!
I couldnt agree more with you. I think Labries voice fits perfect to Dream Theater, if Dream Theater had another vocalist simply they wouldnt be Dream Theater. Labrie is to Dream Theater as Dream Theater is to Labrie.
I was there with my girlsfriend/now wife and it was the fullest and hottest gig in the traditional Rockfabrik Ludwigsburg (R.I.P). Because of the Heat she collapsted an that cost me my place in the forst row ;-( The best Dream Theatre Time of all
They are look just like a regular hair metal band, but their technical ability was ahead of its time.
Why does Myung from this period remind me of the demon girl from The Grudge?
I missed out on this era, but definite dove into it once I found it. James is still one of the best vocalists due to footage like this. Awesome singer and the BEST band!
Been a DT fan for well over 15 years; always felt like I had to just "put up" with Labrie's vocals ever since his accident, man I long for the days when he could successfully soar like this.
musical genius and future DO on keys. just facts.
Old timeless footage of Dream Theater is always appreciated, thanks man
I WANT MY DREAM THEATER BACK!!!! I miss this era so much!
The Dream Theater I grew up on. It's sad that LaBrie can't hit these notes anymore.
He actually can do this stuff pretty well. see 2012 versions of "Learning to live" Labrie can hit the F# again! :)
amazing labrie voice DAMN that's the dream theater that made me fall i love hahaha …
pure gold!
Damn! Where can I get this full concert?
I would PAY for having it!
Classic DT! Thanks for posting man!
DT at their best
Incomparable Mike Portnoy.
🖤
fukin Awesome!!!! Thanks for postin!!! :D
kevin :) good times back then
Is that Bach on keys???
wie geil LaBrie da noch singen konnte... war das in der Rockfabrik?
@Stompo11 What that's supposed to mean?, just because they don't fucking jump arround the stage anymore, that makes that automatically they don't enjoy playing their music?
Thanks for posting! Btw is that J.S. Bach on keys... Anyhow they should let Mike Lee from Barren Cross handle these two songs
A disco ball!

I meant to say *outdoes*
Metropolis in one song outside every song Rudess has ever written with DT. I believe the big problem with DT is no one will stand up to Petrucci, and tell him they are going to submit their own ideas instead of following down all those damn rabbit holes he goes down these days. The reason people see them as dispassionate is because the music doesn't move them near as it once did. This had soul and meaning. Enigma Machine? What a waste of people's time and waste of an album track. Incoherent and
aside from the food poisening, this didn't help his voice a bit
they are great, but a second guitar would be so much better than those keys...
no
@@benjamindover8221 why does petrucci play overdubs on the records, then?
Mira The keys are still there. Guitars dope and all but it’s always good to have a variety of instruments.
@@xmiraculix8270% of times people confuse the keyboard with a double guitar.
