This might be my last advice before my next tournament. There're a lot of masters. Thank you

This is so excellent and useful! Best chess teacher on UA-cam.
Based on some other comments you might want to make a video for beginners going over a lot of basic, standard, opening principles to learn (that either were never taught to them or never taught *well* to them) and you could always link it before vids like this.
Your content is *perfect* for higher level amateur players that want to take that next step and in teaching us how to think better about what plans we *should* make and why etc.

YES! This is the content I get excited to see.
I worry that the algorithm will favor only opening traps and theory. It’s a much bigger game than that, UA-cam!

Surely, you have received many comments, told you that your videos are great, but I want to tell you the same thing, with the difference that I have already seen many videos about teaching chess and in many class classes i have been. I also participated, but I can definitely say that your tutorials are the best chess tutorials on UA-cam and even in the whole world. I am a math teacher myself and I know very well the value of a good tutorial. Thank you for your excellent tutorials. Thank you very much, my chess skill increased amazingly after watching your videos, you are literally a chess master and you have understood it and you teach players the meaning and concept of chess moves in great depth and this is something I haven't seen anywhere else except on your channel, thank you again for sharing these great teachings with us.😍💐💓

Hi from Oslo, Norway! :) We now have minus 12 degrees (celsius) and the Oslo Fjord is freezing with sea ice again. The only thing we can do is stay inside with cosy warm, and looking at Remote Chess Academy and learning how to beat my buddy in chess before the summer! :)

Very helpful video. I often hear pawn structures referred to without really understanding them, but this gives me some idea of how to navigate some common ones. Thanks!

Over a lot of years, I received a lot of chess lessons from a lot of chess masters, and I still have been stuck at the same level for a long time. So, I wasn’t expecting much when I enrolled in a bunch of Igor’s courses. But, I was surprised by the simple, clear, but detailed explanations in the courses that led me to reconsider what I thought I already knew. I think there could be hope for me to improve at chess after all. Thanks Igor.

I have to say, Igor really does have some very good, very useful videos. His opening trap videos are popular and fun, but I really like stuff like this - nuggets of practical information communicated with clear examples. He also has some good endgame videos, although I'd like to see more.

Play on the side of the board where your pawn chain points. 0:36
Utilize space control and piece coordination to develop a strong attack. 1:24
Attack the base of your opponent's pawn chain. 1:55
Prepare and execute a pawn trade to target weaknesses in the opponent's position. 3:03
In closed positions, prioritize playing in the center if possible. 11:45
Adjust your plan based on the central pawn structure and aim for the most beneficial side of the board for expansion. 12:21
Consider pawn breaks carefully in partially closed positions to avoid creating weaknesses. 14:10

I didn't understand your explanation at @2:25 on why it's not worth attacking the e5 pawn by advancing your pawn to f6. Doesn't that remove White's space advantage?

If I attack, with my pawns, on the side my pawn struture is looking at, and if I castled behind those pawns, wont' I be putting my king in danger?

9:27 the explanation doesn't make any sense. Black has more pawn control on the left side of the board. He only picked one of the two most progressed pawns, and stated it's on the king side. You can see shortly after he realizes this, but it's subtle.

    So perfect.

I'm noticing that the moral of the story is black loves to establish a beeter pawn structure than white, and white aims to develop initiatives..

    • @MyBiPolarBearMax
      @MyBiPolarBearMax 9 місяців тому +19

Its probably designed for players a little more advanced than where you’re currently at.
Watch it again more slowly and if you’re having any issues still watch some videos with some more basic concepts to familiarize yourself with them first.
Learn basic principles and this is an excellent way teaching you how to move forward when you dont have big open games and have to start devising middlegame plans.
