Very nice, I've been a member since 09 on BF's. To bad your not modding any more I'd like to have the blade etched and stripped and a choil added. Maybe some serrations for the finger on top. That's about it though. You did a great job it looks nice. I'm not to handy at fixing stuff as I usually end up breaking stuff. LoL. If you ever want some work contact me as I may have a knife to trade out for the work mentioned. Thanks 👍

please go into more detail. I just purchased a junglas and now that I seen this video I want my chopper to look like that. Your blade looks amazing

      Thanks!
I used to have a full "how-to" on bladeforums years ago, but I haven't been on there in a while. I think my photos timed out.
I can describe my process though. The short version is:
-I etch in the logos with PCB etchant (ferric chloride) that you can buy off Amazon, I believe.
-I strip the coating off the steel with paint stripper
-Add jimping and file work. Carve in a useable finger choil, and round the spine of the blade by sanding it.
-Darken the steel with gun bluing and a scotchbrite pad.
-Add texture to the handle scales with a Dremel sanding drum.
      Optionally, dye the micarta scales.
If there is a certain step you'd like to try or know more about, I can go into further detail, or answer questions if you like.

If you use for dye more synthetic dye it will be durable on the scales .

@@LastBastian I didnt converse much myself but I read your post and checked the pics out more than once I've had a Junglas for years but havent modded it yet, every few years I get the urge to and start looking for ideas again. Literally live at work and travel for it so whenever I am lucky enough to get home my wife and kids usually take up my time. Good job on the knife tho theres a few things you've done that I'm going to attempt myself.

@@CraftyCleetus Thanks! Yeah I get it, wife, kids, long hours at work, and more hobbies than time to pursue half of them in my case! Haha....
Good luck with your knife. Modding is fun, feel free to ask if you want any tips.
