    Love love love this channel! Great, short, and CONCISE instructionals for a new wrestler / BJJ practitioner
    It’s so funny the video quality makes me think the video library was made in the 90s / early 2000s , but the channel gets regularly updated

    This was my go to move in high school and it would work most of the time because I would grip n rip the neck so hard, but the snap motion is key to execute it properly which I never thought about. Thanks for vid Cary!

    I love this move. I have seen some guys who grab their bicep as they are completing the move. I am not sure if it helps with leverage?

    • @KOLATCOM
      @KOLATCOM  5 місяців тому +1

      That's great to hear. Popping his arm behind the elbow works best. Getting the right pressure back and your head movement and shoulder shrug are more important. Also, the elbow pop is quicker and doesn't telegraph the coming move.

  • @nosho409

    Pros/cons of this one compared to the inside elbow throw-by?

    • @KOLATCOM
      @KOLATCOM  Місяць тому

      Going under the elbow is possibly quicker and less reaction time for the opponent. If you are already expert level at inside elbow throw-by may not be worth it to change. Use what works best for you.

    So what's the difference between popping the elbow once you've got them coming forward and what you did under the tricep??

    • @KOLATCOM
      @KOLATCOM  6 місяців тому +1

      One's a push and one's a pull with the same result. Use what is most comfortable for you or what you think will surprise your opponent.
