The male crocodile's name is Hannibal. The exhibit was designed with the intention of having the tunnel act as a spot for the crocodiles to sit submerged in the water while having easy access to air, which encourages them to regularly hang out on it. Hope to see more zoos do croc tunnels in the future.
This was an awesome time, further showing just how Florida is a truly wild state! While I love the diversity of Zoo Tampa's Florida Wilds, this definitely takes the cake on connecting visitors with the animals in VERY creative ways. Can't wait to go back again for more adventures in the best Zoo of Florida.
The zoo we lived near when I was a kid had a reconstructed bald eagle nest that was always really fun to climb into! No actual eagles, but it was also during the height of the conservation efforts, and i think i remember a sign talking about recent sightings in our state, instead.
Nice tour, and what luck seeing their Florida Panther and American Crocodile. My favorite local wildlife exhibit would be Minnesota Trail at Minnesota Zoo. 🙂👍
I would have to say my favorite local wildlife exhibit is the California Trail at the Oakland Zoo. I might have a little bias as this is the zoo I grew up visiting
My favorite local Exhibit for a zoo is probably Grizzly Ridge at the Akron Zoo because of the Grizzly Bears, River Otter Exhibit and Red Wolves and Coyote exhibits
LEEEET'S GOOOO!!!! I'm honored to be watching you guys talking about my home zoo. Also for the trivia, while I haven't been to it, I think the North America in Columbus is pretty cool. Can't wait for Amazon and Beyond!
My favorite local wildlife themed exhibit: SF zoo has a specific little building that's home to yellow legged frogs, western pond turtle, and the SF forktail, a type of damselfly found exclusively in the bay area.
Hasn’t opened yet but the Hogle Zoo here in SLC is opening a Utah wildlife section next year that I have high hopes for! And the Oklahoma City Zoo has an incredible Oklahoma section, showing the diversity of the state from Alligators in the Southeast to Cougars in the Panhandle
our zoo has gray fox, and yes, they are hard to spot. But at my last visit when the weather got cooler they were right out in the open. Got some awesome pictures.

My favorite native wildlife zoo is the Sonoran Desert Museum in Florida which is dedicated to the mammals, birds, insects, and plants of the Sonoran Desert. It’s an amazing visit…bring a hat for the sun…I recommend going in the morning of late afternoon. My favorite animal is the mountain life/cougar/puma.
For a local wildlife exhibit, the one that I enjoyed the most is the mini-zoo inside the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery/Dayton Natural History Museum. It's all native species and a really small exhibit that makes up the entire zoo...and the whole thing is indoors.
The Everglades Attraction, eh!🐊🐊🐊 Visit the Kingdoms Of The Night exhibit at the Omaha Zoo soon because they have a swamp area as well!🐢🐢🐢 And also, Zak, here are 5 zoo trivia questions for you & your girlfriend.... 1) Which beluga whale at SeaWorld San Diego passed away this year? 2) How many years did the 4 chimpanzees, Amanda, Marie, Pablo, & Dougie thrive in the Sacramento Zoo before they moved away to new zoos? 3) Which penguin at the Monterey Bay Aquarium died from health decline last year? 4) Which day did Siskiyou the matriarch Gray Wolf at the Oakland Zoo passed away from a large mass in her abdomen? 5) What year did Orkney the grey seal arrive at the San Francisco Zoo before he passed away 32 years later?
I’m no local to it, but I thought the theming and design of the Minnesota Zoo’s Minnesota Trail was pretty impressive. Same goes for the actual content of the exhibit which was surprisingly diverse. EDIT: Someone else here liked it too! I didn’t spend nearly as much time there as I’d have liked so I’d love a tour of it someday.
Well for me the until the Renovation started it was North America in Columbus but I also do like the Grizzly Ridge in Akron and also Florida at Zoo Tampa
I also noticed that Cincinnati got a new Mexican Wolf and was wondering if you or anyone else knows it’s name. It was very curious and scared. I got some amazing pictures of it on my phone.
Burrowing Owls are endangered in Florida. Because their habitat is easy to develop on they are losing habitat. Same thing with Florida Crested Caracara

My favorite local wildlife exhibit is probably the Fort Worth Zoo's Wilds of Texas exhibit. That or the Audubon Zoo's Louisiana Swamp Adventure
I love watching tours of these Zoos. You could get good ideas for Zoo games and also learn from these videos.

Honestly one of my absolute favorite youtube pages! KEEP ON KEEPIN ON! thank you for all your 2023 content!
Would be Intresting if you covered the Minnesota trail at the Minnesota zoo
It's not at a zoo but I love the "At Home In the great lakes" exhbit at the Shedd Aquaruim.
I really love the Arizona Trail at the Phoenix Zoo.
For a local wildlife exhibit, the one that I enjoyed the most is the mini-zoo inside the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery/Dayton Natural History Museum. It's all native species and a really small exhibit that makes up the entire zoo...and the whole thing is indoors.
My favorite local wildlife exhibit is the California Trail at Oakland Zoo. You should visit this zoo.
I like the Canadian Domain at the Toronto Zoo. It is the most immersive in the sense it blends with the surrounding wildlife/nature the best
I love how sassy zoo tours has gotten
I think my favorite might be Columbus’s North America. I also loved the “Robertcat” joke.

I was able to go down the Otter Slide when it was open.
Texas Wild at Fort Worth Zoo is similar to this
My favorite native animal exhibit is grizzly ridge at the Akron zoo
Well for me the until the Renovation started it was North America in Columbus but I also do like the Grizzly Ridge in Akron and also Florida at Zoo Tampa
In Dutch we call raccoons “wasberen” which mean wash bears
12:57 gray fox, bobcat, and racoon?
At the Cincinnati Zoo right now. Just saw the baby sloth and was wondering if you’ve seen it.
Just saw her up and about for the first time a few days ago! Cool profile photo by the way
@@ZooTours thanks
I also noticed that Cincinnati got a new Mexican Wolf and was wondering if you or anyone else knows it’s name. It was very curious and scared. I got some amazing pictures of it on my phone.
Burrowing Owls are endangered in Florida. Because their habitat is easy to develop on they are losing habitat.
Same thing with Florida Crested Caracara
Mine is wild New Jersey at turtle back zoo
This whole section was a big let-down when I visited. Most of the exhibits were closed when I went.
Next video will be Predators of Asia and Africa at the Fort Worth Zoo
The crocodiles are probably aggressive because they have all them teeth and no tooth brush.
Florida wildlife center at zoo Tampa
