This was one of those games where if you only look at the box score, you dont understand just how good Baker played. Dude got sacked 5 times and never blinked or panicked. that resonates through a team.
@@gvegasI honestly think Mauch is just dogass. I mean come on even Luke looked way better this time last year than Mauch did the past 2 games. He’s gotta do something quick because yikes
@@gvegas Mauch just isn't that good sadly. But it's ok because right guard doesn't need to be as good as most of the other linemen. Right tackle on the other hand needs to do good.
Meanwhile, Cleveland paid $233 Million to Watson, who has yet to throw for 300 yards as a Brown, had only one came where he's completed more than 65% of his passes, and this season he has yet to pass for 200 yards in a game. Cleveland deserves all of this! With that said, the Bucs need to find a running game to help Baker. If they do, they'll be a nightmare to play against.
If u watched deshaun play yesterday he did really well, are recievers dropped 6 passes and everytime we got a drive going there would be multiple penalties to ruin it
@@Soccernotfutbol11 What does 6 dropped passes have to do with Deshaun throwing inaccurate passes to guys in the flat or on crossing routes? You're acting like he only had 6 incompletions due to drops. Dude had 12 incompetion while averaging 5.5. Yards per pass. 5.5 yards per completion and 0 TD's is only "playing very well" when compared to that abomination against Dallas.
@JETiKnightNY ur acting like a 65 completion percentage is a bad thing, plus if it weren't for the drops he would have been well over 220 yards through the air and he did actually have a rushing td so u obviously didn't watch the game and only looked at the box score
@@Soccernotfutbol11Browns fans are desperate for Watson to succeed, but I don't see it. What I DO see is a low energy QB with no sense of urgency... who frequently causes his own hits and sacks. He's not a leader, and that is why you see the penalties, the drops, and the back-up level stats. I'll give them a pass against the Giants, but @Raiders, @Commanders, @Eagles? I think he'll suddenly get hurt or benched or both. That's a good thing, because Jameis Winston is a better QB.
@Soccernotfutbol11 You're acting like he actually threw for 220 yards and completed 65% of his passes and the only incompletions were due to drops. You sound like a desperate Cleveland fan, my guy. I'm acting like he completed 64.7% of his passes, averaging 5.5 yards per completion, which must be among the bottom of the league. Im acting like Watson is averaging 4.5 yards per completion this season, which is comparable to Bryce Young's 4.4...and Bryce just got his ass benched. Watson hasn't thrown for an actual 65% completion rate or higher as a Brown since 2022. He's never thrown for 300 yards, and this year he has yet to throw for 200. Watson is averaging 58% completion at 4.5 yards per clip. The guy they traded away in Mayfield is averaging 73.5% completion at a 9.7 yards per completion. To be clear, im acting like the Browns won on sunday in spite of Watson, while Baker is leading the league in TD's and is playing incredibly well. Baker's also leading the Bucs in rushing...IN RUSHING! He's the Bucs entire offense. Miss me with your 220 fake yards when Watson can't consistently complete passes 5 yards in front of him, let alone 15 yards down the damn field.
The touchdown to Godwin was a great play design. Cohen had struggles in this game but that call was amazing. Baker's will to win was on display here. He didn't blink, didn't back down. Great game by Baker.
Can’t really blame McMillan for anything lol baker got sacked 5 times trying to even progress his reads. And when he had the time he found him open. Think you’re looking at the wrong side of the problem my guy y
@@lapthanngo5609 Yeah, if he can just make the block, we convert a 3rd and 22 and maybe even get a TD on that drive. McMillan has been a major disappointment so far, especially after all the training camp hype.
kudos to Godwin on wrapping up and making a good tackle on that interceptor to prevent him from getting any extra yrds. for a wr that was a pretty darn good tackle 👍👍

@@jeremims9044 Lions averaged getting pressure on Baker in 2.23 seconds and the Bucs average 2yards per carry. He had no time and no run game. The defense won the Bucs this game but Baker is the only reason the offense scored points. That's what made it a great performance.
@TA-uw5bo understood. Yeah whatever the defense did was great, or lucky. Don't know how many times a team will go 1-7 in the red zone. Even scoring field goals on each one of those trips would have won the game for the Lions

@@jeremims9044 Bit of both. Bucs have good defensive depth, but exceeded all expectations. It was the most pass attempts (55) the Bucs have ever faced without giving up a passing TD in their franchise history. Personally I thought it was the coaching that cost the lions the game. The end of half miscue that cost them 3 points changed complexion of the game. Also Ben Johnson didn't do a good job game planning. He underestimated the Bucs secondary depth completely and should have tried to run mor. Especially with Vea going out in the 1st drive of the second half. Lions need to get back to running the ball and putting in more PA pass opportunities with more vertical, down field throws. McMillan needs to finish his blocks. From what I've seen, his effort/focus needs a bit more. Dropped TD in first game; lazy blocking in second game.

Baker played great, got sacked a ton, and just couldn't get going on offense with big losses after sacks. Defensive line injuries didnt help.
That Bucs O line is a major red flag going forward though, difficulty running the ball, and a 5 sack game for one player!

Yeah, the defense reminded me of Monte Kiffin's "bend don't break" style.
