I've just fitted a Yoshimura Alpha exhaust to my bike (red frame/white tank)-and it sounds epic! I love the silver grey colour of your bike, very nice. Fitted a few farkles to mine: red racing stripe on the tank with SV650 logo knee grips, radiator guard, plus a few other bits and pieces, and I'm going to upgrade the seat. I had a Yamaha Ténéré 700 before the SV650, and I don't miss it one bit! Lovely bike, with a great engine, but too top-heavy. The SV650 brings a smile to my face every time I get on it. Suzuki might have been making it since 1999 in one form or another, but it's a superb bike, especially for the price. It's very fast, it handles great, and it's 'L'-twin has long been regarded as one of motorcycling’s great engines-the thing just smokes everything from the lights!
@@TrustyZ900 I've really enjoyed my SV650, it's been an absolute cracking bike for the money, but I've got to upgrade, so I'm looking at the new GSX-S1000GX. It's uses that lovely K5 derived engine, a fantastic active suspension system with 50mm more travel, so it won't be top-heavy like my old Ténéré 700, a lovely dash, a nice thick seat which will make a change, and it looks the business. I'm booked in for a demo early next year. 👍
I ceramic coated the entire bike from new. I simply take a microfibre cloth to quickly clean the bike everyday. Never had to use water, never had a single scratch on it...
@@mentallo23 Was just gonna ask this. New rider, same bike.. Live in LA... About to buy the slip-on exhaust, and I was wondering if I should tell my mechanic to install it w/ the DB killer in, or OUT... I kinda wanna tell him OUT because, I want people (cars especially) to be able to hear me coming better, strictly a safety thing..
@@TopshelfJunior Don’t install it. The whole point of installing this exhaust is to hear it. It’s not that loud... BTW, my cell phone mic did not do justice to the real sound. You can never judge an exhaust by youtube.
@@mentallo23 Word ! Did what you said, left the DB Killer out ! I love the way it sounds. Everytime I ride this bike, people are always looking... I can't tell if they are looking because it's loud, or they're looking because of how the V-Twin and Yoshimura sound ?! lol.
@@TopshelfJunior Great. The sound is indeed amazing. I love slowly building up speed and shifting at about 5k. Letting off the gas is also satisfying when there is sometimes a small backfire. Ride safe!
The perfect motorcycle 🏍️
I thought it right before reading your comment
I wish Suzuki would make a new, modern naked SV1000. Heck, even a bump up to 1200 would be awesome.
I think it's my favorite color combo I've seen!
Very nice! I bought a 2019 SV650X just before New Year's - bring it home in April (dealership has free winter storage). I can't wait! 😁
Timeless beauty
beautiful machine, sounds awesome! The 270 degree firing order sounds the best in this bike, Yamaha's parallel twin to mimic this firing order.
Absolutely stunning bike 👍

Great description of a great bike. Have a blue '23 SV. Love it.

What a lovely bike! Although Yoshimura and Suzuki parted ways in 2020 MotoAmerica Superbike racing; it's still the right exhaust for this bike!
She's a beaut
Bike looks great! The Suzuki marketing pictures never do them justice like owner pictures/videos do...
beautiful bike
🏍=💖
Linda moto
does the tail tidy splash much water into your back?
Nice bike
Sympa ! J’ai hésité à la prendre l’année dernière mais cette année ils lui on enlevé 3 cv franchement ils abusent chez Suzuki !.
I've heard on the grapevine that Suzuki are developing a replacement for the SV650, but it will use a parallel twin, instead of a 'L'-twin! ☹
Love this colour combo... do the wheels get noticeably dirty with that red colour?

@@mentallo23 Oh wow, I have never heard of this process. Is it just on the paint, frame and wheels? or the engine as well?
@@garyk8285 On everything!
Is that a 180 size rear tire?
🦃Bravo papa🦙
removed a bit of the tail?
Yes. Yoshimura rear fender delete
Db killer installed?
No

If only it was a 650 Bandit, looks real good. though. Professor Bandit 650 B.T.E.out., Bandit Torque ENJOYMENT only, nothing technical.
These have alot more low rpm torque than a bandit 650 . Much lighter too . Better all around bike too .
