    I only use about 3 pumps for my whole head and it works perfectly fine. You don’t have to use that much product. When I use it, it doesn’t leave any sort of gel cast or residue on my hair...but that’s just my experience. 🤷🏻‍♀️😅

      Yeah I agree. If you have thin hair it’s best to use a small amount. As for me I use a lot because my hair is thick.

    SOOO I figured out how to make this work for my hair and the results were... INSANE. Y’all. This works better when my hair is DAMP instead of soaking wet. So this worked extremely well for me on a refresh day! Which I would have never tried so thank you to whoever recommended that!!🖤 go check out my video titled “how I made my wavy hair curly” bc it was this product combined with a diffusing technique 🙌

      You should probably rename this video because THIS ONE is the first that comes up when you look up this product and you're saying that you made a mistake. Like I don't like brad mondo at all but I feel like you're being unfair and there's alot of idiots who might not see your pinned comment. I would say delete it but obviously you've got a ton of views and that would hurt you and not be fair to you. No hate there's just so much misinformation in this world already and people could still learn alot from this video and you do still make good points.

    It's soooo crazy how products can work out differently for different people. I also just tried this on my channel and I had 0 cast and I used like 10-12 pumps on each side of my head when it was soaking wet! I do have much thicker hair than you but my hair was so soft and fluffy. I am honestly in love with the product! The worst part of being a wavy girl is that even products people love sometimes don't work for you.

    • @kaylaclaus
      @kaylaclaus 3 роки тому +2

      Also I think you should try combing it through. That's what I did. It might help disperse the product more to avoid the crunchy weird feeling.

  • @kimramirez3469

    Maybe it's because you didn't comb it through? He says to use a widetooth comb. Because with your fingers you're not dispersing enough, I don't think. It's putting too much in a clump and not how it's intended. Brad actually made a video where he talked about it.

  • @nixie_xo9460

    I used it after seeing everyone else’s review & liked it. I didn’t use a comb btw I only used my fingers. When I watched the other reviews I didn’t see anyone apply it on wet hair or have to use a towel after applying the product to remove excess water. I’ve only seen a few people who air dry but use the product on damp/towel dried hair. Others used a diffuser which is what I did because it’s faster for me. Any time I diffused my hair it was always a bit frizzy but with the wave tech it was not as bad & I haven’t experienced a gel cast or crunchy ends. If you decide to try again maybe try it on towel dried hair or use a diffuser.

Normally i use like 4 pumps on my comb and do it on my roots like he did in his video and the volume i get. But also afyer defusing it i will use just alittle of argan oil to scrunch it out and Holy cow looks amazing everytime!

  • @melindab
    @melindab  3 роки тому +5

    To everyone saying it didn’t work because I didn’t apply it with a comb:
    1.Brad says you don’t have to use a comb and it works with your hands too, as it should. He said the comb is only so you can distribute it evenly and get a more even wave texture.
    2. If I knew I needed to buy extra tools on top of a $27 product in order for that $27 product to work, I wouldn’t have bought it.
    3. The website nor the bottle says anything about applying it with a comb. It says distribute evenly and scrunch in. Which is what raking does. So how are the people that don’t watch UA-cam supposed to know how to make the product work? Clearly the comb isn’t what makes or breaks the products performance or they’d put it on the website and bottle.
    4. If a product is that fickle I don’t want it anyways. There shouldn’t be that big of a difference between raking and combing.

Kinda wished you used the brush he recommended because the brush gives you exact curls and when you just do it with your hands it does weird curls and or waves. I do the same thing when I do it with my hands the curls come out weird and if I do it with a comb the curls look all the same through out my head.

So when he started making the wavetech, i bought it right away because it sounded great. I HATED IT! It left my hair sooo greasy. I didn't use very much at all (I bought it before the hype so i never saw the vid saying to use 7 pumps or anything) so I didn't have the gel cast issue, but I hated how it weighed down my waves and left my hair with a greasy product-heavy look. I wonder if to scrunch out the crunch you could use a lightweight oil and instead of scrunching first try the praying hands method with the oil then scrunch. I find this works better to get out any cast for my fine curls.

    I love herbal Essenses Totally Twisted mousse. It gives me great definition and curl enhancement but it's almost impossible to over apply. You get a good cast but it scrunches out so easily. I use it with literally every other product no matter what because it's just amazing.

    I love how different products work differently in different people it drives me insane because I've been trying to find the best stuff to bring out my curls the not your mother's curl talk cream and the moose and the gel did absolutely nothing for my hair and I use them for a long time. I'm going to try the other two you mentioned and see how those work. I've had good success with thick leave-ins but I feel like I have to apply so much product it's gross.

    I will say that you really didn't apply the way he says to. The comb is key for even distribution. Also your hair is thin compared to most people I know who use it, so yeah, you probably need less product.

    Thanks for going through that for us. I saw Brad Mondo's video for it and I was curious about it. I am very sensitive to scents so it will be a no from me.
    I had a similar issue with the Curl Talk Mousse. I thought that it just dried my hair out. I don't know if that's common for mousse, but I tried it at least a dozen times with no luck. I have been using the Ouidad Vitacurl Mousse, but that has been hard to find recently.
    My only thought is you can try to break the cast with some light oil (I did not try that with the Curl Talk Mousse). I tend to like a crunchy cast since humidity is high year round where I live and I get frizz just thinking about walking outside. I mostly avoid anything with glycerin or aloe because they just invite frizz over for dinner.
    I hope you get it to work for you. I hate it when I waste money on a product and can't get it to work for me.

    I was planning on getting this product, but now i have reservations. I don’t like hold tbh cuz it makes my hair look wet and gross and I have short hair, which hold can make look weird imo. But since Brad said there’s little hold i thought about getting it. It’s also pretty expensive, so idk 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @melindab
      @melindab  3 роки тому

      I think it might be ok if you use it when your hair is damp instead of soaking wet. He said to have soaking wet hair but I used it on damp hair in a refreshing video titled “how I made my wavy hair curly” and I got way better results and did t have that extreme hold

    • @melindab

      he said you can use your hands too. The comb is just to make sure the product is evenly distributed and can help even put your hair texture but he said you don’t need a comb and neither the website nor the bottle say to use a comb it just says apply it evenly which is what I did. It doesn’t change the greasiness of the product or the insane gel cast

    I don't think it's exactly a bad product. It's just that he's asking everyone to use a lot of it maybe because of the profit. I highly recommend you try this with as much amount as you're comfortable on both wet and damp hair. And use a little amount of gel for the hold. Test both by air drying and diffusing.
