When they said his name, he pulled on a unicorn horn he'd bought as a joke and fell on his ass center stage. The asked what is cosplay was And he proceeded to take a long pull from his beer and loudly mumble "I'm a relative of applejack I think". He got third place for "drunk apple relative"
It's a place where they won't be judged. I completely respect your opinion but I don't think it's overdoing it, wish I could go because even though I try to never mention it I'm still judged for being a brony. 😕

Aww thank you so much! ^////^ Well you want to think a lot about the pony's color palette and what colors go well with it. You also want to think about what clothes that pony would wear and how their personality speaks through that. Like for Derpy, I would pick something like over-sized sleeves to display her silliness or how those sleeves could get in the way and cause trouble :P There will be some times when you can't find what you need and have to improvise though :(

i think it was supposed to reference the character, example solid sparkle was based off solid snake from MGS
They usually have military events at BronyCon, so it isn't too much of a surprise.
