I joined the objects beta but not bothered with this new one, to make collections useful for me I would need to be able to add properties to a top level document. Capacities already has the ability to create properties within an object, then with the combination of table view, queries, sort & filter you get a powerful organisational tool. The style features need at least a better way to format images (promised in previous teasers) and column views, personally not interested in the washie tapes. I prefer my tasks in a dedicated app and embed a link to the note in needed.
I really hope that the Craft Team decides to make some kind of "Objects" feature in the future. It was the feature I was waiting for, and I had hoped that the collections would be a reimagined version of that, but.. unfortunately it's just far from it. I like Craft for its simplicity, compared to Notion, but this is just a feature I really need ..
Objects was great. It's such a shame that they decided to ditch it! It made me go with Tana instead. I hope they'll bring it back sometime in the future...!
I agree. I saw so much more potential use for Craft with Objects. Sadly, I'm considering an increase usage of Notion for some of my workflows and use cases.
@@scottwhitlow8468 from a tech perspective, searching through text within a image had to be done somewhere: either on-device or in-the-cloud. The latter consume resources and requires additional back-end services. On-device might be simpler because Apple already provide that through APIs... but is it the case on the web? on Windows? I don't know. i don't see the development team spending too much time on this in the short term as they have so much work to do to finish Craft 3.0.

I'm with you on this!
I definitely agree with the icons. I sure hope they are made available in more areas of Craft!
I'm thinking that it wold be nice to get those icons for folders, as an example.

I really hope they focus on image searching (searching handwriting, etc) as that is one of the features I still need to be able to leave Evernote
That would be super useful but I have doubts about this coming in the future.
@@NumericCitizenwhy is that?
