After truly super amounts of efforts and research, My Hubby and I would like to point that this video is simple and clear and shows that this is a TURBINE/TRANSMISSION SPEED SENSOR (TSS) he is replacing. But PLEASE NOTE, that there is ALSO a VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR (VSS) and a TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR (TRS), along with MANY others on most cars...The CODE is important, and the correct sensor NAME is critical, as there are many sensors, located in many different areas in different cars, and can more often than not, be found by researching and getting pics or videos online. We have a 1999 Ford Windstar LX mini and STILL are unable to locate ours after extensive tries...In the end, sadly for us, we likely will have to take it to a mechanic. I hope you can find yours and get the correct part and succeed at getting you correct sensor replacement done yourself. Good luck!
Additional note: There is also a Turbine "SHAFT" input SPEED SENSOR, also specified as a TSS in many cases. Look at your code specifications carefully. Ours is for the TSS input "shaft" speed sensor...
Guys beware from the output speed sensor ( the full black sensor without the iron tip) ، if u remove it the oil will leak immediately , be ready for that , put something under the car .... .
I have a 2011 gmc Sierra 1500 WT 4wd 4.3l truck and the P0717 comes up. 1st and 2nd gear hard shift. Can you tell me where the input speed sensor is located. Thank you
Nice to show how easy this is, but this doesn't do a great job of showing where this is located or what you had to remove to access it. Your automated wrench I presume would be substituted with me cursing over a wrench trying to reach this.
I got a 2000 gs 300 was driving started to lose power and turned off 30 mins later engine cooled down started right up but with the code will the sensor fix it for sure or can there be more too it

Not helpful without knowing what vehicle this is. Why even bother posting it.
