I live in Pike County & I have a mama bear that comes to my house on a regular basis now she has never gave me a problem, All she does is just look in my window to let me know that she is out there then she leaves on her own. I never put food in the trash & I keep my trash can clean after the guys pick it up for the week. I also have seen foot prints of a large cat in my flower bed maybe from a mountain lion/cougar.
Probably bobcat…I’m in Campbell county and see their prints in the snow and have actually seen one in my yard stalking a rabbit. They won’t bother you, theyre shy.

Lol…unless you move into a large metropolitan area, you are going to see a snake in Kentucky! And a knife isn’t going to do you any good against a bear or a snake. Just chill, and if you see one, don’t mess with it.

Central hell , plenty of them showing up in laurel county ky...not two days ago big one spotted in london by the animal shelter ...

Bear spray is your best defense
Black bears rarely attack but still have bear spray or a handgun if your out even if you're with friends
