So true! I’ve started making major changes in my life! I realised I had lost myself in my relationship and motherhood, to the point where I didn’t even know myself anymore. I was living like a hermit, only having social media friends. I took a leap of faith and reached out to local mums on our local Facebook group and have caught up with some amazing ladies in person. My next goal is to clean up my diet and get back to gym. I’ve been dealing with a partner who I feel has an alcohol use problem (which involves verbal abuse and manipulation), but I can’t change him. I’ve accepted that, and have decided to build myself up instead so if I need to leave I can leave a better and happier person. I’m just sharing in case anyone resonates with my story because I feel like there’s so much guilt and shame involved when it comes to living with someone with addiction. And there shouldn’t be.
