Yesssss I bought one Honest Beauty lip balm when they launched and was so obsessed I bought the entire line. They're the best tinted balms I've ever tried.
Lavender oil and other fragrances (either natural or not) can eventually cause an allergic reaction if used continuously on our face’s skin. Essential oils are awesome when used for aromatherapy and other stuff but any type of fragrance on our faces can cause an eventual irritation. Silicons serve as a protective barrier for the skin. It helps retain our moisture. However, if people notice that it irritates them than yeah I’d stay away. I’m, however, worried about how silicons in our cosmetics affect the environment since they aren’t biodegradable. Idk, I go to a dermatologist and ask a lot of questions, read research articles, and watch dermatologist talk about ingredients. It’s really helpful to know how ingredients perform and react on our faces but I’m not getting much info on the affects of certain ingredients on the environment. I agree with you 100%, I like science and nature to work hand in hand. That’s why I want to know which ingredients could ultimately damage nature.
Amen! I cringe by the word clean as in clean beauty. Not all natural is safe, we all know that and if you watch the docu about essential oils and its dangers on Netflix. I have a dog with atopic dermatitis and if i use a shampoo with essential oils he gets a flare up straight after, scabs that are bleeding and inflamed skin and ears. Guess what; the so called therapeutic dog shampoo’s often do contain the irritating essential oils.. terrible marketing; only the best natural ingredients for the sensitive skin of your pet, gives a nice cooling sensation.. INCI; linalool, lavender, geranium, eucalyptus and mint😭
I’ve been using their mascara and the hydration mist as a setting spray and I love both! I also just got and love their foundation and setting powder. It gets super hot where I live and I have combination skin and Honest Beauty seems to last the best of the clean beauty I have tried. Even walked the Zoo with my toddler in 90 degree heat and my makeup still looked good after an hour of sweating and carrying him around!
After the Thrive mascara, I truly can’t go back to any regular mascara. I even bought tubing mascara while I was in Japan and the wash off wasn’t as good as the Thrive.
Spending my cold evening watching Honest Beauty reviews and found your video. Let me start by saying, I really enjoyed your enthusiasm. I liked how minimal and natural your makeup looked. Lastly, you remind me of Cindy Crawford.

Btw, I kept hearing "Cream Cheese" every time you said Cream Cheeks, and it made me imagine you putting cream cheese on your face: So, not a complaint, just made me giggle! And I think I am forever cursed to enjoy No Other Mascara since you first convinced me to buy the Thrive mascara. Literally NOTHING compares. It totally replaced my Ciate London Wonderwand and Stila Huge. Kackie's Word is Law.

I have literally run out of all my basic makeup, I just ordered from Thrive but forgot the CC cream and got my stretch concealer from Glossier but its getting cold and I wont use the skin tint as much. I looked online at Target because I know that they have better lines of beauty-DID NOT KNOW Honest Beauty was there. I read some reviews but not many good ones, so I came to see if you had done one because I trust your reviews for their honesty. I'll go get some of this now, and nope no other mascara is Thrive not even Glossier. Every time I buy some other mascara it just feels like a waste.

You should try Seacret mascara. The formula is very similar and wash off is the same. I've used 3 tubes of those Seacret mascara then found Thrive. I find that Thrive dries out faster even in the tube and Seacret one doesn't dry as fast. Also the Seacret one is cheaper.
You think thrive dries out quickly? That’s surprising. I find that I have to toss it when it starts to just get bacteria after like 4 months but I’ve never had it dry out.
Their powder is really nice I had 2 sample size and used it up. It usually takes me a while to use powder but this one does blur pores well and didn’t dry my skin out👍🏽 (a woman no longer I’m her 20’s😉😋)
I know on the Honest Beauty website they say that they use "sustainably sourced" mica but does that include vetting their sources for child labor infractions?

Oh! I use it to blend and lighten up any makeup look. Things tend to get muddy on me because I use tons of different pigment products on my face, that powder helps bring the light back.

However, I'm trying to transition to clean beauty and I'm still learning how to navigate ingredient lists. It irks me if a company slips in something sneaky that I can't decipher.. Can you help me? If you would like to know more about "essential oils", I'd love to enlighten people's ignorance to what essential oils ARE. Essentially oils have physical, emotional, and aromatic benefits. Nothing near to "just a sent". 😊
