Honestly love these videos! One suggestion, for what's it's worth, would be to add something that shows the number of surviving units from the winning group.
I'm to lasy to calculate so please answer: Is your Archon cost calculated for DT/DT, DT/HT or HT/HT Archons? I thing it's the last, but I'm not sure...
R1 Archons win easily, they're made for small units like those zealots. R2 Voids win that easily, they scale in large numbers well and are made for heavy units like tempests and carriers. R3 oracles make sense here too, there's not even two hydras per oracle and they have so much damage against light. R4 immortals counter armored stuff like colossi and colossi are weak against armored like immortals, no contest here either...
Woo-hoo, I actually got every single one of them right. Once again, Range beats melee. Kinda wonder how it'd pan out IF you started with 75 zealots on every single side so they had archons surrounded, they'd probably win then. Voids are just... unstoppable while Tempests are just trash, no surprise on the outcome there. Was kinda surprised to see Oracles slay the hydra's that well but they are anti-light with their beam and hydra's are quite the squishy sort. Collosi might have range but Immortals are straight up anti-armor killing machine, there was no shot they'd be losing, even if outranged like that. Awesome battles tho, please put more in! (And take some recommendations from the comments below, people would love it!)
Tempests aren't really trash, it's just that they're intended more for kiting than they are for a direct fight, plus voidrays are pretty much designed to counter armoured units so naturally under those kinds of conditions tempests aren't going to perform well. It's kind of like how adepts will suck against nearly everything in these kinds of fights - I mean, yeah, they're units that won't perform well in direct fights, but they have a ton of utility outside of direct fights. Oracles vs. hydralisks mostly comes down to hydralisks being kind of just bad for their cost. Hydralisks really just aren't very good and are rarely used for anything other than morphing into lurkers in competitive play.
@@SaulGoodman3D2049 Funny you should say that. I did actually run some tests myself and if Archons don't hold some sort of a choke point vs Zealots, they actually lose every single time.
Oracles just do infinity DPS to light units, it's always shocking how fast they kill things en masse. I know that basically nobody ever mass produces Oracles, because they're about as fragile as candy glass, but there's something morbidly satisfying about watching them just engulf swarms of light units.
Fun fact, a full-energy oracle can kill a lair, a nexus, and a planetary if they expend all their energy. That's why 4-oracle hit squads are semi-common at competent levels.
love this kind of videos XD super enjoyable to watch, probably rewatched the full playlist 3 times this week lol seeing how many units remain after the fight would be nice atleast imo :) i'm always curious about how many lived lol
Okay so good video but Oracles don't benefit from any air damage upgrade, since they are spell casters and their damage comes from spells not their auto attack
ok man, please explain to me WHY you engaged the Tempest vs void ray in such a way? The void rays were all clumped up and engaging AT ONCE, whereas the tempest took like TEN SECONDS to engage fully... SUCKS.
Would it be possible do you think to do some Keiron vs T/P/Z? It's a custom mod for a new race and it's the best and most popular by far, even having games casted by Lowko and WinterSC. Perhaps to start, volts vs other T1 units?
4/4 pretty simple one. the units with "counter advantage" wins in almost all cases. the hydralisk one may be tricky to some ppl, but i believe you need minimum 2 to 1 ratio for hydras to work. in general, hydras are really bad units.
Anything vs Tempest with equal resources is going to mean the loss of the tempests. The whole point of the tempests is they can hit from long range and kite. Put the tempests in close range and they are fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked. Vikings, phoenix, mutas, corruptors, battlecruisers, etc. It doesn't matter tempests will get fucked.
Instead of showing the MvP, if you showed the remaining number of victors or percentage of total health remaining, it would show how effective each one was against the other!
1:24 - Wait. "Our wills are aligned through the the holy Khala." I thought that Void Rays were Dark Templar. Who are defined by splitting from the Protoss society because they rejected Khala.
They're Nerazim, but I'm not sure all Nerazim are dark templars? Also, I thought it was more of a political feud between them and the Conclave that had led to their banishment?
Oh, I meant Nerazim, not Dark Templar. And yeah, they were all supposed to reject the Khala. It was due to political feud, but the core of the political feud was the Khala which they rejected. All Neraz have their nerve cords severed. In the campaign, when Artanis arrives to Shakuras, no Nerazim are converted by Amon because of that. It would be weird if this line is here because of the Alliance between Nerazim and Khalai. Since immediately after the campaign starts, the surviving Protoss are forced to reject the Khala. And they do so pernamently.
@@ShadowTheHedgehogCZ That line was recorded 5 years before the plot of Legacy of the Void was written (which they obviously didn't plan in Wings). Lore-wise, void rays are basically capital ships in their own right, with a crew of Protoss responsible for operating the ship. The captain could be Khalai or Nerazim. The game implies that it could be either because the unit portrait shared Mohandar's model but has that line implying they are connected to the Khala.
More to show that without target firing to kill off single voidrays and not using the distance advantage and not stacking tempests and not getting the hell away from prismatic allignment, that tempests lose
@@amonteza7478 void ray is indeed a counter to tempest and thats why he build more tempest for more money, remember that tempest is 250+175+5 supply and void is 250+150+4 so it was 400 supply of voids vs 500 supply of tempests
Oracles do bonus vs. light units and they costed more resources in total, plus hydralisks aren't very efficient units to begin with. Oracles being flying units also gave them an advantage in that the hydralisk attacks were being split up between more units (ie. the oracles were focus firing the front row, but the hydralisk attacks were a lot more scattered across all the oracles). It was pretty much what I expected personally.
yeah, generally collosus in pvp is useless unless your opponent play mass sentry challenge like beastyqt did before, but in normal game they suck to everything, they are super effective vs marines and hydras but no use in pvp at all
besides, Beastyqt did challenge that he is allowed to build only sentries, warp prisms and observers and he get to Master 2 European server ;] if someone play mass collosus he would be in huge trouble there
colossus vs immortal -- it says they HAVE thermal lance, but they obviously DON'T ... Look how LATE they start to attack... obviously they have 6 range instead of 9... STOP LYING ABOUT UPGRADES !!!
I think they pretty clearly have thermal lance, otherwise only the front row of colossi would be close enough to attack. Immortals have 6 range, colossi go from 7 to 9 range depending on whether they have the upgrade or not, and it looked to me like there were 3 rows of colossi attacking at a time (while there were enough colossi alive anyway) which definitely isn't going to happen with only +1 range on a unit as big as the colossus.
Honestly love these videos! One suggestion, for what's it's worth, would be to add something that shows the number of surviving units from the winning group.
