A lot of this bitterness is coming from people with experience, i.e., which a lot of Gen Z isn't. Not to mention that stat is for people 18-25 which only half of the generation is at this age.

I get what you're saying about power-dynamics allowing for public jabbing of more powerful groups, but the thing that still makes the jabs (& the hypocrisy of it all) so frustrating is that everyday ppl from these "more powerful" groups aren't tuned into that power imbalance. The thing they see is a social norm where it's okay to crap on them, but not on others, and that suggests that they're less valuable/worthy/dignified, or even (not to sound dramatic) less human. If we keep letting it be ok to talk trash about men, white ppl, skinny ppl, etc, that norm will (and already has in some cases) reach sum1 of more consequential influence talking trash about 1 of those groups to a more impressionable member of that group. We can't just keep shrugging our shoulders & basically saying, "Ah boo-hoo, go cry into your bed made of money and power", bcuz a lot of those folks don't have that metaphorical bed, and/or will just be scarred by the words of sum1 with influence trashing them. At some point, a teacher will say some disparaging shit to a white kid for being white, a celebrity/idol will trash a boy for being male, a parent will lambast a skinny kid for being skinny (and I don't necessarily mean they'll trash them personally, but that they'll trash their group, and the kid will see themselves in that group; and it doesn't have to necessarily be kids, just a more impressionable person). Most ppl aren't constantly looking at their life thru these macro-views of things like patriarchy, or systemic racism, etc, they're looking at their life from the micro-view of their life, their immediate social environment, and how to navigate that environment; and if we foster a normalcy of scorn for certain groups, that norm will reach those local social environments, and we're only setting ourselves up for more broken people in generations to come.

Oppression literally was a thing still in the 60's and 70's that wasn't AGES ago that's only like 50 years. Most people who went through these things are still alive... generations ago would literally be people who been dead for decades. Like your great great great grandparents. you must be young since usually young people have no since of what is old or what is long ago... they think 30 years old is middle aged lol.. That’s just a clear cut example of becoming everything you were fighting against, and on the flip side you can’t expect people who didn’t create these systems to take your shit and expect them not to get pissed off and start to resent you. You are not oppressed. You have the same rights and opportunities anyone else does. You can be racist white people. In fact, in 2024, there is more discrimination in the job market towards white men, especially in media and entertainment, and there are more opportunities promoting non-white, non-male applicants.
Women and minorities have just as many, if not more opportunities to occupy positions of authority in government, entertainment, corporations and media. The fact that despite these promotional programs women still make the choices to pursue those fields less often has nothing to do with white people and/or men. Stop putting the result of those choices on other people.

Agreed we need strong men, but we also need kind men, chivalry oriented from the medieval chivalric codes which were laws emplaced on knights to maintain a level of dignity and most importantly honor, which in turn resulted in what we also know as the rules of war, where even during the dark ages where death and torture were common even more so that the plagues and diseases roaming the lands but I digress) the chivalric code was for all intents and purposes similar to say the pirates code as seen in pirates of the Caribbean which yes is a fantasy story but based on real world history and things like the pirates code was a way in which there were laws and order even in what to many would’ve been seen as a lawless place, such as crews rights, which could or can be ignored or misinterpreted, however it also meant that pirates were required to act or behave in a certain way, the that say don’t steal from other pirates, don’t just slaughter the innocents or civilians, harm them yes, torture them perhaps, even kidnapping them, but no killing and again much like the chivalric codes they meant that a knight was required to
    Protect the weak
    Fight wrong
    Seek justice
    Be fair to all
Be loyal to friends and as time passed and the interpretations of said chivalric codes also changed over time but their premises as well as their beliefs have remained the same such as protecting the weak, honor and respect all women, dare to do right, again that means standing up against a corrupt employer or to help a woman who’s in need, to help the poor or Down trodden and as time passed what was once a set of codes became societal norms and values in which they evolved into what we would describe as chivalry ie letting a woman have a seat on the bus, opening a door for them, ect ect ect but because more and more women are demanding equality and are calling things like masculinity and chivalry as toxic, most men are simply giving up on the codes of chivalry since the codes only applies to women, but if women are wanting to be seen more as men, then those rules no longer applies to most western women since they’re no longer willing to act like a woman or a lady the.n men are simply refusing to act like men unfortunately and it’s come to a whole point where it’s he said, she said and who has hurt the other, again women had it hard but considering that women never had to face the draft or conscription or how about when men were required to work in the mines where tunnels could collapse or pockets of gas could poison everyone in the chamber or a small pocket of gas could be highly flammable resulting in a massive explosion, again the notion that women were expected to stay in the kitchen is also false since many women especially in the countryside were required to help in or around the village or communities which again they might not have been as labor intensive as the men’s jobs or as dangerous but was no less needed, be it say help keeping the kids fed and raised or in some cases such as on a farm, many young girls would grow up to be known in England as land girls, who were girls as young as sixteen would would help their farther and brothers out in the fields with the harvest ect or help in a less physical activity such as say collecting the eggs from the chicken or milking the cows whilst the men would be doing more of the heavier work, that doesn’t mean that the girls and women were sitting around doing nothing or were chained to the kitchen since money was tight, everyone regardless of age, gender or ability were required to work since there were no welfare systems or government programs out side of say a military pension which would be akin to getting ten bucks from the government and politely shown the door despite looking an arm and a leg
