Canadian Ducks fan, and my first time going to an NCAA div 1 power 5 college football game. And wow, what a game, with so many ups and downs, just a great experience overall, well except for the Ducks loss 😞. Met lots of great fans on both sides and even a few Texas Longhorns fans. Huskies played great and what a game for Penix too. And their defense came up big, with huge 3rd down stops. And that Nix interception was such a momentum killer. Oregon only played 2½ quarters of quality football and paid the price with a painful loss in a game they were favored to win by over 9 points. I'm not sure what went wrong on the coaching side for Oregon whether it was nerves, preparation, pressure etc but the OC and DC failed to make the needed adjustments to the Ducks offensive running game AND defensive pressure/coverage. I lost count how many times Huskies ran the same outside slant pass play forbshort yardage and the Ducks always seems surprised by it. Anyway... I'm genuinely pulling for Washington in the playoffs (ok I'm also a Seahwaks fan :) and would love to see them win it all! A fitting end to the Pac12 Conference.
The defense was fairly excusable as their secondary wound up with both starting corners out, safety in a cast, I think some other secondary injuries, and then lost best DE- Burch. This while UW's O was finally getting back to full strength. The offense was just a choke job by OC, QB, and something seemed wrong with Irving the RB.
washings reciever strength is there against the texas secondary, if the defensive line of texas can’t consistently get to penix then it’s gonna be a high scoring game on both sides, im guessing at least 60+ points total
With the return of Jalen McMillan and the running game being enhanced in Washington’s Offense I don’t see a team being able to stop them from scoring points in the playoff. Washington will win it all. Fight on ✌️
Washington is just now getting fully healthy. In fact 2 more unseen young studs will make the Sugar. Gonna be more explosive O than they've had all season! 😃
I’m very happy as a Huskies fan that multiple experts and other persons picked the Ducks which was proven wrong since the dauntless Huskies found a way to defeat the favored Ducks.
Josh - I’m a life-long UW Husky fan so I really have no skin in this FSU/Alabama stink. But I am also a college football fan and the fact is, FSU played without their starting QB for 2.5 games. They finished beating North Alabama with their #2 QB. Then beat Florida with their #2. Then beat #15 Louisville with their #3 guy. There was AMPLE time for the powers that be to lower them in the rankings - but - they did NOT do that. Then, under the cover of seclusion, when there was NO WAY to stop it, or change it, the committee DROPS them because they lost their starting QB? Bullshit! Their 2nd string guy was just on concussion protocol, he was NOT out for the rest of the year! There are 99 other guys on that squad who helped FSU win those games. And those players PROVED it by going 3-0 without him! On to Alabama. They lost at HOME by double digits! Enough said! If Oregon would have beat UW, they would have dropped the Huskies 10 spots and you KNOW it! And then there’s the Auburn game two weeks ago. The Tide squeaked out a 27-24 win against a team that just got their ass handed to them by a NEW MEXICO STATE team 31-10 AT HOME! Couple that with the FACT the committee had to move them up 4 (FOUR) spots from 8 to 4 just to get them in! Even if FSU got their butts kicked by Michigan, it would NEVER change this: There will NEVER be an excuse good enough for what the committee did to FSU this year.
That 1st quarter for the Ducks was a killer. Bo was rattled after that throw that hit the ref. I think it got into his head.. That 3 and 9 to end the game.. I'm still in disbelief.
As a Texas fan, im extremely concerned. All season ive said to myself Washington is the one team we match up worst against. We can get by with an innacurate or inexperienced quarterback, but Penix is not that. We have our work cut out for sure.
Think about Penix like this: there are guys who entered college the same year Penix was a Freshman at Indiana that have been playing NFL football for three years. He's talented, but 6 years of experience is HUGE.
The Washington defense is improved. I heard they're burning some redshirts to get help on D. And they're healthier than they've been. They got their starting safeties back. The defense struggled in the middle of the year. It doesn't show in the stats but that was a pretty good defense against Oregon.
@@Dragon-Believer you pull out all the stops for a CFP run, including using some redshirts. However, you do know that postseason doesn't count toward the redshirt rule?
I wouldn’t be to worried about Washington if Texas plays like they did against Alabama and the last two weeks. I really believe Texas will dismantle Washington because Texas defense is so much better than Washingtons defense Texas offense is way better
People saying that game was close based on score did not watch it. Oregon was tenacious and Nix is great, that they had a chance says something, but the score is not representative of how the game played out
I'm so excited about the sugar bowl! We played Texas in the Alamo bowl last year. All I want is a good game. I'm so proud of my Dawgs no matter what happens
Yall are gonna be in the same conference. Not years to come. Well be seeing y'all again shortly. Washington earned their wins this year. Target on your heads next year. Hope Penix comes back for y'all, were gonna reload either way at Qb, don't know if that can be said for Washington.

Most college teams have a game where they come out flat. Don’t know why Oregon chose this game but that’s the way it goes. Defense spent most of the first half on the field, hence WA’s success on the ground. Credit to OR that they came back. Credit to WA for finishing.
Thanks for admitting it. Its crazy to me how people talk about Oregoon being more physical. If that means flabby, fat, and slow on the lines, then they are. We have lean, agile, giant warriors on our O-line BEASTS. And quickness and size on the D-line. I came here to see if you would man up and admin you were wrong. You did, so I may listen in future, and I very well may not because I like reality based pods, not fantasy land.
Glad you were a man and admitted it. Oregon is better than Texas. Your model forgot to factor in that this game was indoors and all those UW close wins came in the rain and wind. I also believe Oregon backers were not aware of how big a deal McMillan makes for the Washington offense.
I also wasn’t aware that 2 PIs would be miscalled to keep Washington’s scoring drives going. Washington is a great team, but they got so much help from the Refs it wasn’t even funny.
@@princeofgreece9054 I felt like the refs helped Oregon extend that drive before halftime. Oregon was also 2/2 on 4th downs and still couldn’t win. You Oregon fans always have some corny excuse tho.
As a Texas fan, if we had a better QB or a better secondary, I would have leaned Texas. Quinn Ewers is too inconsistent and he tends to have patches during the game where he goes missing. And our secondary gives up big chunks of play against even below average QBs. I have no idea what Vegas is seeing that makes Texas -4.5 vs Wash. Texas should be the underdog in this game. Unfortunately for me Wash wins this one by a TD.
Does your model take into account Kalen DeBoer? The Huskies have a total of 2 Five Star recruits on their entire roster. Texas has Five Star recruits at every position except Edge and D-Line. And the Under-Dawgs are coming for them!
There is shame in thinking that Oregon was going to beat Washington. After the first matchup Oregon looked much better down the stretch. Washington outplayed Oregon. That doesn't mean that looking at how both teams played the past month and being more impressed with Oregon was wrong.
Didn't Washington hold the lead in both games for something like 7 quarters? I believe Washington also had 2 score leads in both games. For the very short time Oregon led during those games, the highest was something like 4 points. Washington controlled those games.
"I know most you guys want my to pick against you, and maybe I will" 😂😂 Guy still hasn't learned. At least he admitted he was wrong. That's better than most.
6 years of experience for Penix is monumental. There are guys who entered college the same year Penix was a Freshman at Indiana who've been playing NFL football for three years. It will be interesting to see how this amount of experience translates in a playoff environment.
At least you’re honest about being wrong. Kind of blamed it on the model thing, Oregon has ALWAYS run up the score once they start to beat down a weaker team. This is what built up a lot of hype for picking Oregon the second time. Huskies beat the Ducks 3 times in 13 months. That model thing probably had them losing everytime.
To be fair you couldn't look at how Oregon and Washington had played since mid October and not think Oregon was better, they had some real stinker games during that span against bad teams, and Oregon crushed all comers. Only Washington homers thought it was going to go that way in the championship game. All you have to go on is what you saw on the field leading up to that game.
🟣 WASHINGTON has two 1000 yard WR and one 1000 yard RB and one HEISMAN candidate QB . You are typing out of your axx . Take the L like you have done by 3 the last three games vs. WASHINGTON with the same QB's and same Head Coach's . Late ⚪.
I mean, Oregon played a bunch of mediocre teams. USC is 7-5, ASU is horrible and they were heavily injured, Cal sucks, and Utah was also heavily injured and playing a 3rd string former walkon QB. The only quality team that Oregon played was Oregon State, but Oregon State was coming off an emotional loss at home to UW, and the players knew that Johnathan Smith was leaving. Oregon state also apparently didn’t have any film review that week. They were a completely demoralized team. Oregon is a good team, but they simply got lucky with their opponents. It’s not like they dominated a team as good as Missouri, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, or Penn State.
Jayden Daniels heisman odds at -1450 is ridiculous man. I get he’s been amazing in the SEC, but doesn’t losing nearly every big game factor in? Sure, his defense isn’t great but neither is Washington’s. Penix flat out gets it done when you need your QB to. Leading the nation in passing and a 13-0 undefeated record despite everyone doubting us. I’m not saying Penix should be the heisman favorite, but IMO it should be a toss up between JD5 and Penix. Half of Penix’s picks came from WR slipping or running the wrong route… but the “he can only control what he can control” only seems to apply to LSU and their defense. Can’t wait for another SEC biased heisman like Henry winning it over CMC …
Have you seen his stats or highlights. There’s plenty of qb that won it losing multiple games. When you break records in the sec your prob going to get the heisman
@@di114n2 100% and that's valid. However, stats and highlights don't tell the full story and because of those factors, such as a conference championship, 13-0 record, and #2 seed in the country, Penix is an extremely strong runner up who could take home the award.
Oregon lost bruch on the first or second series and Florence didn’t play Best 2 defenders out for game that was the biggest difference and nix going 3 and out twice
Don't feel bad. Most everybody, including me, a Husky fan, thought Oregon would win. I am reminded that all the modeling, stats and selection criteria at the pro camp missed Tom Brady, a dumpy looking kid that couldn't run fast or jump high and was drafted 199th.
Why would the team with the better QB, better offensive weapons & better HC lose to a team at home or a neutral when the rules protect and enhance the offense?
Well it's the first game that Washington's actually looked really good, since the last Oregon game! So it's hardly a surprise that most people were wrong. It was also some of the worst football Oregon has played in that first half. If Washington continues to play that well, They have a legitimate shot at the title. I feel really bad for Oregon... Week to week they were the better team. Washington was so lucky to get that pick six or they would have lost to Arizona State! They barely escaped Stanford! They barely squeaked by Washington State and Oregon State..... Put those Arizona State and Stanford last minute wins really stuck out! They have not played consistent football.
Excuses suck, but they weren’t very healthy in some and they played two of those games in a permanent torrential downpours…,Not the best weather for a deep ball passing attack. They still found a way to win another way. When healthy, in decent conditions they are going to be a handful for any of the teams that might play.
This dude's been wrong about the Huskies all your long! He's picked against him in almost every game. I would start to worry if this guy actually picked them to win any game they play!
Let’s be honest, if the head coach in green and yellow wasnt Dan Lanning, ain’t nobody talking about Oregon in such an uncharacteristic way that people had been doing. Almost like the same people who only think the playoffs are legitimate if the SEC is there looked at the PAC 12 and only could give 2 shits for the one team that had the former Kirby assistant. Weird crazy happenstance, don’t cha think?
I'm a Washington fan and I don't blame the model I blame the bias people who created it. You sir are an extension of ESPN which is an extension of SEC and big 10 and people like you ruined multiple conferences college football.
Cool. Admit everyone is biased, doesn’t know what for sure what will transpire when teams meet on the field… and put FSU in the playoffs. Playoffs are a reward to team. I can just as easy see Ohio State, Georgia and Oregon beating Washington, Texas, Alabama, Michigan if we were in 12 seed playoffs. Which is also gizaaay. It’s already uneven and gives advantage to teams that get a bye. Why not 8 team, which leads to 4 teams, which leads to two team and a last man standing. Starting to hate college football because of the suits. Get rid of the suits. So idiotic.
UW outplayed and out coached the Ducks on Friday. It happens, but Oregon top to bottom is still the better team. 3 losses in 2 years by a combined 9 points and each game turned on 1-2 plays…these teams are about as close as you can be. @geoffschnoogs6888 so true. And that right guard on UW that had the holding call late had 5 blatant holds that prevented sacks that resulted in big gains for UW. The refs didn't put their thumb on the scale, they jumped on it while holding heavy weights.
@@geoffschnoogs6888Oregon was only back in the game before halftime because of an absolutely horrendous pass interference call against Washington. Oregon very well could have been down by 3 scores at halftime, instead they scored a TD before the half.
This is the correct take. I was there live watching the game and could not believe how hard those refs were working to keep Washington’s offense on the field. I can only hope we don’t have to deal with that kind of refereeing in the BIG.

Bro no Duck fan would EVER pull for the Huskys to win it all cmon now!
They're Canadian, so it checks out.
@@brutusvonmanhammerdon’t be salty now :)
@@LILCRIM3232 that's not being salty that's just the truth 🤣
I doubt Husky fans were pulling for the Ducks to win the natty in 2010...or in 2014...
Fight on ✌️
They know how to get up for Oregon. Man do they have their number. Hats off to Washington.
It’s called brotherhood ✊😎
"Suck Brick Kid!!" ( Home Alone 2 refrence)
Thanks for your videos.
Washington is just now getting fully healthy. In fact 2 more unseen young studs will make the Sugar. Gonna be more explosive O than they've had all season! 😃
Zach Durfee Defensive end just got eligible, will be his first game. Apparently a big baller
The 9.5 point spread in the Pac 12 Championship Game was the closest thing there's ever been to free money.
💯
Mmmkay. Not sure how much I care since none of this can be proven.
But yeah, the whole nation was impressed by that win over North Alabama 😂.
That 1st quarter for the Ducks was a killer. Bo was rattled after that throw that hit the ref. I think it got into his head.. That 3 and 9 to end the game.. I'm still in disbelief.
Ducklings weren't prepared enough, Dawgs out playing them!😊
Husky fan here. Bo is/will be great. That is all I'm able to eke out of my soul right now 😅.
@@tacticalmattfoleyMany of those seasons Penix was injured badly, you don't get much experience not playing or even practicing.
I wouldn’t be to worried about Washington if Texas plays like they did against Alabama and the last two weeks. I really believe Texas will dismantle Washington because Texas defense is so much better than Washingtons defense Texas offense is way better
People saying that game was close based on score did not watch it.
Oregon was tenacious and Nix is great, that they had a chance says something, but the score is not representative of how the game played out
3 times you have watched Washington play. 2 times against the Ducks, and once against the Beavers. I would try to forget about the rainstorm also.
I'm so excited about the sugar bowl! We played Texas in the Alamo bowl last year. All I want is a good game. I'm so proud of my Dawgs no matter what happens
UW just needed to get over the injuries and get the personnel back on the field that helps them play their best football.
It's a great time to be a dawg. Not only do we get bragging rights over Oregon for years to come, but Josh admits he was wrong about the dawgs🤌🏻🐺☔
Yall are gonna be in the same conference. Not years to come. Well be seeing y'all again shortly. Washington earned their wins this year. Target on your heads next year. Hope Penix comes back for y'all, were gonna reload either way at Qb, don't know if that can be said for Washington.
@@AeonThinks the bragging rights is due to beating y'all 3 times the past two seasons. One of them being arguably a game of the year. Then winning the PAC while EVERYONE counted us out. While also ruining a Natty chance and possibly a Heisman trophy...No, we DO/WILL have the bragging rights for a while now. It's obvious trying to buy your success via recruits isn't always going to work even with Uncle Phil's checkbook 🤌🏻
@@yamiven6m hey you won man. You won it all congrats.
@@AeonThinks y'all have a great team. A top 6 team imo and some days I could say top 4. But in terms of leverage. This season could turn the recruiting battle a different direction, because of the impact of how successful this season has been for UW. Time will tell though. It's sad y'all gotta play liberty too. That's disrespectful 💯
Thank you
Yup! Great way to describe it. I can follow you again on X & UA-cam 🤔
Most college teams have a game where they come out flat. Don’t know why Oregon chose this game but that’s the way it goes. Defense spent most of the first half on the field, hence WA’s success on the ground. Credit to OR that they came back. Credit to WA for finishing.
Typical Oregon fan making excuses. It wasn’t about Oregon, it was about UW
I can just see it now... "I know I was wrong in doubting the Huskies all season... but I'm picking Texas to win this game"
So you're going to to eat crow again. 😂

Please pick against UW in the playoffs 🙏 thank you in advance.
We appreciate you continuing to doubt us
Thanks for admitting it.
2023 Alamo Bowl..... Enough said
As a Texas fan, if we had a better QB or a better secondary, I would have leaned Texas.
' There is no shame'
Didn't Washington hold the lead in both games for something like 7 quarters? I believe Washington also had 2 score leads in both games. For the very short time Oregon led during those games, the highest was something like 4 points. Washington controlled those games.
Fair Enough!

It comes down to the coaching
At least you’re honest about being wrong. Kind of blamed it on the model thing, Oregon has ALWAYS run up the score once they start to beat down a weaker team. This is what built up a lot of hype for picking Oregon the second time. Huskies beat the Ducks 3 times in 13 months. That model thing probably had them losing everytime.
This years TCU!
Washington beat 4 of the top 5 offenses in the nation. Texas wouldnt even be in the playoffs if they faced the quarterbacks washington faced PERIOD
What do we call someone who is always wrong?
Dubs up, Opps dawn
Who has the better defense?
Washington just got both their star safeties back and shut down bo nix.
Washington best Texas last year in the Alamo bowl
You forgot time of posession....
If Pate picks texas, uw is a lock.
Oregon lost bruch on the first or second series and Florence didn’t play
Best 2 defenders out for game that was the biggest difference and nix going 3 and out twice
Oregon went 3-10 on 3rd down. Your defense wasn’t the problem. Ducks are soft
Huskies have had many injuries too. Quit making excuses
Would love some accountability on your Michigan predictions now. You took both Penn State and Ohio State over them in each game.

Ducks read their own press, weren't ready, players or coaches. Obvious.
Just didn’t know ball is all
Last year it was Texas lol
This dude's been wrong about the Huskies all your long!
He's picked against him in almost every game.
I would start to worry if this guy actually picked them to win any game they play!
Let’s be honest, if the head coach in green and yellow wasnt Dan Lanning, ain’t nobody talking about Oregon in such an uncharacteristic way that people had been doing.
Almost like the same people who only think the playoffs are legitimate if the SEC is there looked at the PAC 12 and only could give 2 shits for the one team that had the former Kirby assistant. Weird crazy happenstance, don’t cha think?
He get it wrong all the time. SEC biased & the second coming of Paullete Finebaum.
I'm a Washington fan and I don't blame the model I blame the bias people who created it. You sir are an extension of ESPN which is an extension of SEC and big 10 and people like you ruined multiple conferences college football.
this guy was putting Washington outside of top 10 all season.... clown
Oregon is 15-5 against them the past 20 years and the Ducks out recruit them every year including by a mile in 2024. 13-0 Congrats . . . But Still No Rose Bowl . . . . Good luck in the Sugar Bowl!
Washington the only power 5 team in the pac12 this year. To bad the competition was weak for you.
Literally everything about the Oregon game proved your model is correct. Oregon completely wet the bed for half of the game and still only lost by three. They got out gained in every category and still only lost by three. That game is living proof that the model is very good and very accurate and that the better team lost the game. Oregon plays even 50% of what they capable of in that 1st Q, and they win.
Yes and no, because as much as Oregon didn't execute, Washington did. And a lot of Oregons plays came because the UW defense didn't execute.

UW played the game of their lives. Oregon wet the bed. Still only a 3 point game. If the inverse of that happened, Oregon wins by 21+.
