Best skate series on here. Could imagine myself bombing the concourse with Lil B and the homies. Keep these coming.

I got put on some heavy medication and I basically had to learn how to skate all over again.i remember the first skate I had after the medication I couldn't even fs no comply. But I stuck at it and eventually got comfortable on my board again. It was so heartbreaking..

🙏 I'm still struggling. I broke free for 11 months and slowly but surely had a bad month, which led to 2 years later. Although my abuse isn't as bad as before, it sucks being stuck. Ty for this.

My earliest memories are going to the methadone clinic with my grandparents. They warned me, and I didn't listen. Back in like, 2010 I had a nagging ankle injury that wouldn't heal. Finally made myself stay off the board so it would heal, and opiates, eventually heroin and then fentanyl became my new hobby. I felt I'd never be anything but a junkie. The numbers aren't in our favor as far as the likelihood of relapsing. It killed me my grandparents died without seeing me get clean. They didn't just raise me but were my best friends. This November it will be two years since I found my brother dead from an overdose of the drug I introduced him to. Somehow I made it to treatment, to a methadone clinic, and saw I could go without smoking crack and shooting dope. I thought I wasn't ready despite using for going on 12 years, but in reality I just didn't think it was possible. Don't let anyone tell you medically assisted treatment isn't sobriety. Anyone who does is an idiot, and they're likely in a 12 step program. This despite the proof MAT works is in their face, and not only that, I don't go around telling anyone their religion that is all 12 step programs doesn't work just because it didn't work for me. Be open to everything until it works. I've been clean since 6/21/22, next week I'm going back to school to be a substance abuse counselor. I'm trying to get back into shape so I can start skating again. I mean I can do Ollie's and shit, it's just discouraging thinking of what I once did and now can't. Just keep your heads up and don't listen to the odds. Hell, if only 10% get clean and stay that way, just keep trying and you'll be that 10 percent

Can relate so much growing up jn the local SD skate science early 90s I was the same lil skate rat doing the same things.
Y’all should upload the full videos on here I think it would help reach more people. Amazing work. We need more this in our skate community so our skate family know they are not alone and can relate to many other skaters out there who step foot on a skateboard.
I’m a gunshot survivor who’s was unfortunately shot at 20years old in the south bay and was in the same path as @bturner_ was parting my life away, as I was injured from either skating or baseball. I was shot 5 time at a house party along w a buddy of mine who was also shot. Wrong place time kinda thing. Thankfully we made it.
I remember waking up in the hospital thinking it was all a bad dream till I was told I might now be able to walk again due to severe nerve damage on my left leg from a bullet clipping several arteries: thankfully I made it. Only thing I kept asking my doctors was will I ever be able to skateboard again. Skateboarding is what strived and motivated me to one day be able to kick flip and skate w all the homies again.
Now that’s everything’s turning full circle, Fast forward ten years later I now wanna make an impact somehow by telling my story to the youth to help guide them in a better direction that’s more positive than partying and give a better outlet for us to be safe and skate together, forever

Met this dude at the bar I worked at. we were hosting a skate event, and the guy was the meanest, seemingly, intentionally hurtful dude. Is this something he is doing to get more attention? Idk, but I don't trust a word this guy speaks on
