Yeah i feel like my life is a little bit better for having listened to this man sing.
yeah i am replying to my own post but...thank god for the internet or i would never have experienced this.
I have lost count of the times I have watched this. He is just pure talent. Best singer I have ever heard. I grew up with the 70s when music was real.
How is this guy not an international superstar by now? His is the most pure talented voice I have ever heard.

+BuddySteve The main "problem" is that he doesn't want to. He's too shy and can't take it to be out in the public eye, so that's why he turned down the opportunity to represent Germany in the Eurovision song contest. He said he thought he could, but it was too much for him to handle. He still makes music and loves to play for smaller audiences.

Nina Lisa It's about what matters most to him. In his case, it appears that he would rather keep his privacy, have a non-hectic life, keep things easy kind of life over the very hectic but lucrative and wealthy kind of life where he has no privacy. Which would you people choose if you were in his shoes?

Not sure why he isn't topping international charts but that doesn't in anyway take away from the fact that he is a genius. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💯💯💯
here on UA-cam I have watched many many different countries with the voice and out of all of them this man tops them all how he is not a international Superstar is beyond me because he would kill here in the USA

I speak fluent English, Portuguese, and Spanish. I watched over 300 Russian movies last year alone. His accent is incredible and he has so much soul it's beyond words. I'd like to see him headlining in Vegas!
PS! He was Germany's 2013 Winner!!! And the German Final 2013 Announcement has a comment that says "Simple Man" is his original song and that he has a great ALBUM out. I think it might be like the photo behind him when he's sing his song in competition. I bet we can find it on the internet.

this guy. i can't stop watching him. i've watched all his performances, time and again, and i can't get enough. i've bought the songs i could find on US iTunes, but ... it's not enough. lol. he's more than a contestant, more than a singer. he is a singular, world-class voice; he sounds as if he was born in the delta, grew up in the big easy alongside -- iono, dr. john and his gris-gris singers, maybe -- marinated all the way up the river, and sweated it out in bars from detroit and chicago and the hotspots of new york, before going back to new orleans again. the music flows through him as if he's an instrument -- he fits into the structure of the song like he was built there. and he's from ... germany. no offense, but not the first place most americans (like me) would look to find a voice that celebrated a uniquely american sound so organically, so naturally, so righteously. WELL DONE, DEUTSCHLAND. a find like this comes around maybe once in a generation. i just wish more people here, where the genre was born, knew about him. maybe they'd see that talent has no borders, that genius can be found anywhere, and that WE DON'T NEED NO DAMN WALLS.

Ach wäre ich doch wieder jung, es war eine gute und schöne Zeit und Du Andreas läßt diese Zeit wieder aufleben. Alle Achtung und Hut ab, aber das ist dass Beste was ich seit langer Zeit gehört habe.
Ich bin dankbar mit dieser Musik aufgewachsen zu sein (Jg. 1955), sie hat mich geprägt. Ich will die Zeit nicht zurückdrehen aber es ist eine wunderbare Gelegenheit, die Erinnerungen aufleben zu lassen. Der Mann ist einfach genial... und die Coaches haben das vom ersten Ton an erkannt.... Respect!

I do agree with most of you, this guy is awesome, he may not be the image that the US recording labels want due to him being short and bearded, but hell he can sing.
Every song the Andreas sings becomes better than the original. He is so amazing in that listening to him transcends you to another place. Look up “Up to my neck in you” and “Waiting for the world to change” by John Mayer, it will give you an idea of the musical range this man has. Never seen anything like it, ever.
