I love it when the concept is something that doesn't feel like only a stylistic choice, but is something that informs the song's entire vibe. This song did that so beautiful. It feels like such a great contribution to the music landscape
what I love about mamamoo (individually and as a group) is that they don't just put out songs/albums for the sake of having a comeback and it shows because you can literally see how they enjoy and love what they do (as musicians) whenever they talk about any of their singles/albums. This, imo, is what makes their work standout among most of their industry pals.
In my opinion, adding Kim Joon Soo's Pansori in the beginning of the MV is genius. It feels like it might not suit the song but it surprisingly does and it even elevates the song. The Daegum and Gayageum used in the song is also genius because it adds so much flavour to the song. The theater play concept for the MV was so fresh and nice. In short, really really love Chico Malo. Both of you have really worked hard on it. 👏👏👏👏🤟 As for the style, love both of your styles. I think it represents your personality really well.
I know they were laughing about Solar-nim's representation of nostalgia, but I loved the way it layered with the overall angry feeling. Often when we feel such intense longing, the loss can fuel a kind of deep and intense anger, and last beyond once the anger fades. It was a really nice way to bring out how anger can be a sign and manifestation of sadness that has become twisted by the indignation of being treated poorly by another.
Sorry byul, solar expressed her feelings well throughout the song...the sadness, the cynical expression, the determination to rise again after being pushed...the change of character from being weak and begging for the 'bad boy' to stay to being strong and stand on her own two feet...the women empowerment...i love it...

The creativity that went into the song and MV is off the charts! For one, the concept of shooting it like a theatrical stage, leveraging different spaces and camera work worked so well and then the fusion of tradition and modern both in aesthetics and instrumental was just too cool. Chico Malo has Solar and Byul's creative handprints all over it and the result is a masterpiece. Solar, you and Moonbyul have worked so hard! Amazing job! Can't wait for GGBB ❤❤

The amount of styles blended in is incredible. The whole video and the song itself has modern and traditional elements, folkloric and commercial rhythms. They're telling a story/a tale through the song, adding a bit of acting and (contemporary) choreography. What they did is just brilliant, not only Solar and Moon but the whole team with them. I really love it. Regarding hairstyles, I liked both of them and each one has their own vibe, but for me it was more eye-catching when they both tied their hair. Byul's hair was particularly different and I liked it a lot.
The MV really looks like a theatrical stage! It looked amazing! I love how the costumes were the same but the hairstyles changed! Like how we do change after relationships but not completely.
Using a theatre stage-like set for the mv filming was a really good idea, it's not done very often and it adds to the theatrical feel the pansori opening gives. Love the song, love the mv, love what everyone brought to the table❤

The creativity that went into the song and MV is off the charts! For one, the concept of shooting it like a theatrical stage, leveraging different spaces and camera work worked so well and then the fusion of tradition and modern both in aesthetics and instrumental was just too cool. Chico Malo has Solar and Byul's creative handprints all over it and the result is a masterpiece. Solar, you and Moonbyul have worked so hard! Amazing job! Can't wait for GGBB ❤❤

The amount of styles blended in is incredible. The whole video and the song itself has modern and traditional elements, folkloric and commercial rhythms. They're telling a story/a tale through the song, adding a bit of acting and (contemporary) choreography. What they did is just brilliant, not only Solar and Moon but the whole team with them. I really love it. Regarding hairstyles, I liked both of them and each one has their own vibe, but for me it was more eye-catching when they both tied their hair. Byul's hair was particularly different and I liked it a lot.
The MV really looks like a theatrical stage! It looked amazing! I love how the costumes were the same but the hairstyles changed! Like how we do change after relationships but not completely.
Using a theatre stage-like set for the mv filming was a really good idea, it's not done very often and it adds to the theatrical feel the pansori opening gives. Love the song, love the mv, love what everyone brought to the table❤
Chico Malo is really amazing in every department, be it song-wise, MV-wise, choreo-wise or costumes-wise, you can be proud of you, unnies ! (As well as can be every person that worked on the song)
