I’m so glad that someone made this video because I didn’t want to do it! Lol I really really tried to love the city tote but that bag felt soooo cheap! I love a slouchy tote but the thing is the city tote quality gives it the wrong kinda slouch in my opinion. It’s cute tho! It seems like so many companies are cutting corners on their items now. They’re really trying to make me be at purse peace😂 but we like what we like and at the end of the day we will still buy lol. Awesome video. Flyboo is soooo sweet to send those to you! I know what you mean, the town tote makes the city tote just look cheaply made. It's still pretty but the slouch reminds me of my dupes of the LV Neverfuls, just no structure. I've always liked the style of the town tote & now, thanks to facebook marketplace, I got the town tote in my 'deal breaker color' of the saddle brown & I got the slim version of the large organizer from amazon that fits it perfectly but even without that, for being pre-loved, the bag is practically brand new condition and the structure you're talking about that the city tote is missing, the town tote certainly has it. This is a bag that I will get A LOT of use from!

They sure do I have ordered two off Amazon and I have no complaints with either of them. I use them for the LV bags never thought to use one in my totes seeing I use a lot of pouches.
I know their was a reversible version out & it came with a pouch rather than a pocket so that it cld be reversed, but when they brought it back out with the inside pocket they cld have made it more sturdier
I agree with you, they should of added the leather trim on the structured tote, however i feel the slouchy tote allows you to fit more because there is more room for expansion 🙂. Tfs

Hello I’m a sucker for the slouch although I do use a purse organizer which holds the shape. I looked at the town tote but wasn’t a fan of the stiffness. Call me crazy 😆. As always nice comparison and thanks for sharing🤗.

This video is a year old I know- I just purchased the city tote online in graphite black. There is an insert made just for the city tote that must be purchased separately which everyone is saying to purchase --because it makes a huge difference as the bag is too damn flimsy by itself. Why the website does not alert you of this when viewing the city tote or doesn’t sell them together I have no idea but to anyone looking at this in 2023- Purchase the insert!!!!!!!

I have a Mollie that I love & got because the outlet at Wisconsin Dells didn't have the Town tote but I never stopped keeping my eyes open, low & behold... Pre-loved, missing the gold hang tag charm but otherwise, practically brand new condition... Mine now & I couldn't be happier with it :)

Sure I’m down to maybe 24/25bags. The beginning of covid I gave away about 19 bags a good 4 were MK, about 5 Vera Bradley, 3 coach, 1 Prada, 2 D&B, and a couple no name brands.
Perfect video! I was originally searching for the City tote until I stumbled across your comparison. I think I want the town tote now 😂😂 and they don’t have it on their site of course. The preloved ones seem to have curled around the edges at the top of the bag (on some listings). Are you edges on the Town still sturdy ?

I was just about to order this beautiful purple City Tote, but your video just randomly popped up on my Google news feed; and girl I don't even want the bag any more. And I absolutely love purple but now I'm feeling some kinda way😂😂
Order it! I have one. The fact that I can bend it has came in handy when I travel and want to put it in my luggage. I like it enough to buy another one I want the green from the collection. That purple is cute too! Get it!
Ok, I'm back & I held out & got the town tote pre-loved & I'm so glad I did. I got it in the solid 'saddle brown', I love it year round but especially in the fall. (I use my lilac berry Mollie & chalk/signature canvas Christie in the winter & spring). I've also watched other comparisons videos between the town & city tote & in the 'side by side comparisons', it just seems like they 'cheapened out' on the city tote & it looks like they're, trying a little too hard without being obvious, to copy the LV never full, the only thing missing is the straps on the sides to cinch it in. Now if you like that style, hey, rock it, l run with it, love & enjoy it :) As for me, I just prefer the stiffer, more structured town tote :) I did have to replace the missing hang tag but I found that on eBay for around $20-21.'ish which was fine, I also replaced the missing one for my crossbody at the same time, which was only $17. Now Coach did bring back the Town Tote just before Christmas in limited colors so they may still have some on their site, otherwise, check pre-loved & don't forget Facebook Marketplace, that's where I found mine. And for ALL leather products, be sure to treat the leather to make it last as long as possible! The spray you use for leather coats is what I use & it also brings out the scent of the leather.
Glad u found one. The coach store sells the tags for under 10 bucks but im sure the one u got matched ur bag. I like both and even tho I have a couple city totes I gravitate to my town more. TFW and updating me

The first tote I ever bought was the Town tote... I loved it it was beautiful even down to the tag! I was so disgusted when I purchased another only to receive the City tote... Upon selecting of the tote I thought I was getting the Town quality... I made a big mistake!!!!! You're supposed to improve on the quality not decrease it @coach.
Exactly I love the structure of the town but I kinda like the city tote being able to fold. It allowed me to put it in my luggage. If I had to choose I wld choose the town.
@@JuliaB2 I actually got mine preloved from Poshmark. The seller let it go pretty cheap cause there were a couple of stains on the bottom but she let me know it was a few years old. So not really sure when it came out. And it has softened from its age and from use but still stands up pretty good.

you don't address the actual quality of the stitching which is the actual mark of superior quality - rather than how thick the material feels. the city tote has double stitching and flat-felled or French seams and the town tote is just an overlap. It is ab out three times the sewing. additionally the city tote has bindings on seams. the thickness of the material (which is leather backed and stiff due to being treated to be stiff) is the least cost of making this bag. The stitching of the Town Tote is clearly inferior here.

I bought the town tote and I return it because for my taste it was too structured for me it’s more like a work tote more dressy I guess ..,and the city tote it’s the easy one to go to it’s light and perfect to travel with it’s feels like the never full …and the look it’s more simple like no hardware I have two town tote on a leather version one on red with the hardware on silver and one in black with gold hardware I love it because it’s structured but not hard and I have two city totes and I love them 😍 there both totes but there are different that’s why one is town tote and the other is city tote what ever is your taste both bags are good quality 👜😉
I like both for what they are. I love the structure of the town and I like the city which is why I stated I might get another one. I cld fold it inside of luggage if I wanted to or inside of the town tote to take if I was traveling.

I just ordered my coach city tote bag . I know Amazon has a purse organizer insert to put inside your tote that will hold the shape of the bag .

The city tote was meant to be reversible that’s why the material is the way it is

They have some on Mercari. I’ve considered ordering a second cuz I LOVE the stability of it.
Not made for sturdy structure. The structured bag is made for laptops
That's really strange. I have a town tote and it doesn't do that. It stays up straight and it's pretty old. I got it preloved.
