Back when I worked at a greenhouse, I took some hardware cloth that had 1/4 inch squares and tacked that to a frame. It helped when I had to sift chunks out of decomposed granite
Ok BILLY STOP MICROMANAGING THOSE BOYS!! You’re a perfectionist I can tell. No wonder you’re so stressed out. Let them help you. You do not have to do everything yourself. They may not do it exactly like you would, but if the outcome is the same who cares? Better get that will done before you just completely wear yourself out. These were hard lessons for me to learn too, but you’re not super human. (Even if you think you are). Let them do their jobs. You do the fun stuff.
Hey I have to say that I have really enjoyed the channel and the live was just awesome thanks for sharing the ENTIRE JOURNEY much appreciated and I respect love an hope you have much more continue success an look forward to the upcoming year an Thanks for making 2020 a some what easier to deal with an get thru this crazy uncertainty and The Mutation Creation Channel an Podcast had helped
You could rebag the sandy leftovers for perfect potting soil. It's funny we do the opposite in our plant nurseries for the potting soil ,through away the big peices and only use the sandy smaller to plant with.😀😄
We've tried all the major brands and have ended up using Prococo. I honestly just like the smaller chunks and it seems to go further in our tubs. Mostly preference.
It makes sense that the smaller chip would have finer dust though and the difference in the amount you get and the price makes it worth the extra effort
Awesome video guys !!! Great review/break down between two different types of coco substrate. 👌🏼 Each has their benefits as you pointed out. 👍🏼 Thanks for taking the time to gather the info you did ! 🙌🏼 keep up the Great work guys.
Typically every 4-6 weeks, depending on the condition of the substrate. More soiled means an earlier change to keep the bacteria down and the animal healthy.
I know y’all said in a previous video that y’all are gonna package up the coco siftings for other reptile keepers who could use it but don’t forget to advertise this to gardeners too. Especially orchid growers.
I don't think u need a gym at ur new facility that looks like a work out in its self lol, Thanks Billy that was interesting to watch n amazed at how much sand n fibre was left at the end, Keep up the great work Billy n crew #TeamBilly
I don't even have to watch the video although I will, to know CocoBlox is a superior product. #1 on the market. In my opinion. Nothing else compares. But for those unaware, the video is helpful.
Guys, working in an environment where you breathe any kind of dust is a health hazard and a workplace safety violation, please wear some lung and eye protection when sifting coco! 😷😎
Billy you are so cute...and i do not mean any disrespect to who ever your dating or married too ....i just think YOU'RE a very handsome man .....lol......lol the shredder the strainer...im over here SCREAMING no the sifter lmmfao ...

I need one of those scoopers
Billy you can use the sand and dust around the bushes outside the facility
I couldn’t afford a sifter so I drilled holes on a big plastic container & just turn it upside down & shake it , works great!
Back when I worked at a greenhouse, I took some hardware cloth that had 1/4 inch squares and tacked that to a frame. It helped when I had to sift chunks out of decomposed granite
i dont know why but this was oddly satisfying to watch
Please do a review video on the herpstat spyderweb thermostats
Thanks big difference!

Im honestly more interested in the crystals and how they get there, as much as billy doesnt wanna talk about the crystals 😂🤣😂

Are both those brands 72qts?
Defiantly a fan of the chunkiest! Great comparison!
I did ReptiChip vs ProCoco vs CocoBlox. ReptiChip won 👍🏼
Agree 100% ReptiChip is nice stuff.
The fiber would be could for arachnids/amphibians if any of you guys have them
We've tried all the major brands and have ended up using Prococo. I honestly just like the smaller chunks and it seems to go further in our tubs. Mostly preference.
I just really want that shaker 🥺😂😂
@@FullThrottleReptiles I know right? Its pretty ingenious of Freedom Breeder to come up with. Those guys know their stuff!
That coco block fibre doesn't even matter. That amount mixed in that big box means nothing. But that dust is good thing to seperate :)
Newspaper it is!!!
Billy looks like a good arm work out also
Same reason Billy’s right arm is bigger than the left it’s the amount of sand in the cocoblocks
It makes sense that the smaller chip would have finer dust though and the difference in the amount you get and the price makes it worth the extra effort
Morning everyone
Do you sift everytime?
Yes every bale
Billy rockin Jordan 13's! Hell yeah!

I still can’t believe you have a coco sifter. They should ship the coco without dust
I'm sure some or most of the "sand" happens during the whole bagging and shipping process.
Great video. Plus most people don’t have that sifter. So getting all that sand out is tougher. Quality over quantity!
Price difference?
Next time you can just lift that shaker part off of the frame and dump it to save time 😉
Of course you would know😂
😂 I was thinking that
I like the premium the best
How often you change the substrate?
My problem with cocohusk is make me a bit lazy than when using paper.
Typically every 4-6 weeks, depending on the condition of the substrate. More soiled means an earlier change to keep the bacteria down and the animal healthy.
@@camelcityreptiles thank you, I will keep it in mind.
wood is wood?
Wow, that is a huge difference between them!
The Ed Sheeran's shirt 😍
Please guys sent Billy some new shirts he ran out 🤔🤣🤣love ya
Haha Billy @ 14:04. EHH EHH
I definitely will be looking into a sifter going forward I didn’t know cocoblox had even that much
I know y’all said in a previous video that y’all are gonna package up the coco siftings for other reptile keepers who could use it but don’t forget to advertise this to gardeners too. Especially orchid growers.
The sand is good for an isopod bioactive setup. other than that i wouldnt use it with any snakes.
Grand rising fellas

That dust would be a good mix for my tarantula substrate!!! Send it to me lmao!
I don't even have to watch the video although I will, to know CocoBlox is a superior product. #1 on the market. In my opinion. Nothing else compares. But for those unaware, the video is helpful.
Whats the obsession with the dust? Never understood it. Little bit of dust in the bin? My snake still poop on it😆
If these are sold by weight imo they are adding stones to add weight to the products.
You are awesome
shame you didn't use scales and actuals prices. welldone though. many thanks
Guys, working in an environment where you breathe any kind of dust is a health hazard and a workplace safety violation, please wear some lung and eye protection when sifting coco! 😷😎
Let’s gooooooo
I would only want the best for my snakes mabye a all natural no sand no little stuff or dust in my bedding
So how long do you guys spend crystal digging in the coco? Lol
Billy you are so cute...and i do not mean any disrespect to who ever your dating or married too ....i just think YOU'RE a very handsome man .....lol......lol the shredder the strainer...im over here SCREAMING no the sifter lmmfao ...
