Playing in France is gonna do wonders for his all round game. Just hope he stays fit and gets plenty of game time
How? I've seen people say this but I don't understand
@@JackieOLoughlin can you clarify what part of my statement you are confused by?
@@theojenner1902 the playing in France as opposed to England
Bang on. The whole playing in France thing needs a rethink anyway. It will aid his development. We just need some young props to go there now and learn the dark arts.
@@JackieOLoughlin ofc. Arguably the French domestic league is the best and most competitive domestic league in rugby union, and perhaps the closest to match the intensity of test match rugby.
He has an opportunity to thrive under this pressure and bring this to the england team.
The French league is able to recruit alot of the best in the world so he's allowed to compete with, and learn from them.
The French game is also a mixture of open play, high balls and defence. His speed, and eye for a gap is more suited for the french style then say in an english club side. But he also needs to learn when to kick, and when to attack.
Finally he can work on his high ball catching if he wishes to remain at full back, tackling and defensive reading.
He looks like he's settled in brilliantly at Racing. It would be great to see an England back three of Murley, Arundell and Steward - they could pivot nicely and switch between wing and full back in the same way Robinson, Lewsey and Cohen used to (the last time we had a truly world class back three).
I mean May and Watson together in 2019 were something else. Daly was weak on defence but those 2x wingers were brilliant
We won’t see that because if you don’t play in England you can’t play for England
Steward is just a bit slow for top level. I would rather see Watson on bench with Murley, Roebuck and H A starting.
Great to see him playing 15. He played his junior international rugby at fullback and most of his London Irish gametime there too. Looks much more natural at fullback than wing, IMO.
Seems to be more involved.
Looks like he played a blinder - one great high ball take, solid defence and an excellent finish. Would love to see him at full-back, if he can get his defence as good as his attack.
Blinder? He didn't break one tackle the entire game. He was getting tackled in space by back row forwards. He was ok nothing more. But don't let that interrupt the silly hype train.
Bothwick has two options. First is not to pick him. Second is to pick him but ensure that the ball never gets to him and make him chase kicks all day. Steve Borthwick makes me proud
First options way better, since he can’t pick him after this year. And he’s also shit
He can't be picked unless he plays in England.
No better league than Top 14. All the best players are there and Henry is definitely one of the.
...and La Rochelle le the reigning champion of Europe AND South Africa. Great performance from Racing 92!
@@ruriksukhoi8514 Just wait until the SA teams get money from the Heineken Cup, at the moment they don't get paid for participating.
No, he isn't. This is silly. His inability to get past the first man in space? Is glaring. HA is a young player that is doing ok but of course if you're dyed in the wool English fan that means AMAZING! Or as saner fans call it Marcus Smith Syndrome.
@@chris5240as they shouldn’t, they bring nothing to the table and are merely guest.
You comment says that you are terrified.@@Nieljoyceniel
Good luck Henri!
could be one of the legends of the game i recon
Formidable
Racing have bought a super star in the making, and should hold onto him for as long as they can.
But will Borewick pick him, he and Radwan are so exciting to watch
It's not about excitement. It's about winning.
The misspelled name is so juvenile, grow up.
He doesn't play in England so can't be picked.
Yet Borthwick’s couldn’t give a place for him, why would you play smith at full back ahead of arundell
Such a shame best English players in France where dont get to watch them week in/out😮
What is happening with the exiles please, my heat aches
Decent like
Absolutely brilliant player, England’s brightest prospect in a decade. So let’s hope Borthwick keeps picking his mates instead ….
Soon to be excluded from selection criteria?
The RFU have to change their ridiculous rules on English players playing abroad! It'll improve the players playing in a better standard of league and with 3 less teams in the Prem and the lower salary cap it's not fair on the athletes to miss out on a better contract.
For players like Arundell who were forced out of the prem, I think there will be exceptions.
@@David-ud9juthere won’t be it’ll be a year max to rejoin the prem I believe is the rule and then bye bye
It’s the only rule that’s saving the prem from getting destroyed by France buyin up all the talent. We need to question why that’s the case not the rule that prevents the prem from falling apart
Great highlights but the music is grating. He’s on form ain’t he
Then he’ll come into Bortwicks boring England rugby game and never see the ball
It'll be a predictable shame.
We’ve seen the last of him for England now I think mate. As long as he’s in France he won’t be coming back. Not missin much though he’s shit
England must pick him, and ditch Steward. Arundell has pace, attacking ability, can catch the high ball and can tackle.
Steward can … oh yeah, take the high bsll. That is all.
Steward can... Kick the high ball, marshall and cover the backfield singlehandedly, Bring physicality and dominance in contact, and works well as second/third receiver with great hands. Don't do him dirty like that, he's an absolutely class player given his age. Not many have looked as solid as him at test level at his young age. Arundell on the other hand has been a defensive liability in every international test, has leaked dumb penalties, and is consistently turned over by top level defenses. He has a bright future for England, but needs to work on more than just the flashy skills to earn his spot in the 15.
Steward can take the high ball… every time, under pressure, in the biggest games.
Massive difference.
@@limbothytimothyThat's the thing about everyone who demands that Radwan is picked. Sure, we watch the highlights and see him doing 30s of brilliance to score a couple tries, but we don't see the other 79:30 minutes where he might be rubbish. Arundell does look good whenever he gets the ball in hand, but that's only a small part of playing rugby.
Arundel broke...zero tackles the entire game. None, not one. He got tackled in open space with ease. Same in other games he has played. His defenders beaten is shockingly low for someone with so much hype.
@@LaChartre Ah, no, he has dropped many high balls. Steward is the most over rated player in the International Game. Slow, lumbering, slow to change direction, can't tackle, too tall to be an effective out side back, prone to making high tackles.
If the RFU don't change their ridiculous rule so he can continue playing for England it will be a travesty.
That’s in no way a ridiculous rule, France would buy all the talent and destroy the prem if that rule wasn’t in place
First
Music so annoying
agree alot of these channels have dogshit music playing
Shame he wont play for England again any time soon 😂
HAHAHA OH MY GOD SO ORIGINAL.
He's a talented player, without question. Is he an English international great in the making? No. Players like this, of relatively small stature, can only perform behind a dominant pack. England has not had a dominant pack when it counts since 2003.
The guy's 6 foot and about 100kg. In what world is that small stature?
What a crock of s...!
