The instruction and demonstration in this video are excellent but I really do not like the zooming in. As dancers, we want to see the whole body the whole time. Whenever I see a dance video zooming in, I suspect it was filmed or at least edited by someone who's not a dancer. Being able to see the zoomed-in parts up close didn't show me anything I wouldn't have been able to see otherwise and left me wishing I could see how the rest of the body was affected.
Here's a travia: Do you guys know where House music originated and the original Jackin' dances started? Answer: CHICAGO. Early '80. It still interesting house mucic blew up all over the world and it even more interesting to watch this jacking and it's not even no where near how it should be. Oh well.
That was cool. I always hear reference to people talking about jacking but I never really understood what it looked like. Gonna try it out.
This is one the best jacking tutorials out here!!!
Jacking reminds me of how the characters move in Jet Set Radio
Awesome.
Can you recommend a song to practice to?
