Vertical slabs is the most logical and practical thing to add on this entire list. I don't care if you can have mods for it, it's something that should exist because it makes sense.
Nah, I'm against Vertical Slabs. We have trapdoors, use that instead. If you can't build without vertical slab, then you probably lack creativity. Adding vertical the game will add more bugs, glitches and some some visual problems. Rather have the current way of building we have nke than that.
Mojang: "we don't want to give you a free anvil" Also Mojang: "let's change the iron ore to give you drops so you can use fortune on it and literally never run out of iron ever."
@@SavageJarJar Iron farms aren't really a problem in my opinion. They don't affect players unless they are specifically trying to build one. Also they don't take advantage of any glitches. I get that they are kind of OP, but iron is kind of useless late game and the farms are a pain to build and move the villagers.
@@ultrapea Not to be rude or anything, but your entire statement was wrong. 1. Multiplayer. If someone in Multiplayer makes an iron farm, it can potentially effect everyone. 2. The iron ingot has the most crafting recipes in the game. It can be used for minecart rails, anvils, and a lot of other stuff.
@@SavageJarJar I think (with number two) he means that by the late game, you tend to have so much of it, that you won't go wanting any for a while. Some time, in fact
I think that they would be terrible to use. Imagine, your tiling your floor and you try to place a horizontal half slab but you place it on the side of a block and it ends up being vertical, that would be so frustrating.
That's just developer pride at this point. How can something that will give you more options will limit your creativity? Imagine what we can build with vertical slabs and if we get the option to overlap different slabs. I do want to have a house that has different walls on adjacent rooms and different ceilings from the floor above it without building a house so huge that I look like an insect inside it. I know there are carpets, but a nice wood floor will look great over a concrete ceiling. The same with furniture. You can be creative, but the chairs and tables are too big and they don't look practical at all. Terraria did not shy away from adding furniture and painting and people can get even more creative because of that. Not adding some requested elements is what is limiting the creativity instead because we have to stuck with the same designs from the beta version in many cases because there aren't many new options besides colors and a few small improvements.
@@TheZombersLMAO Yes, but if everything was in the game there'd be nothing to ask for and no individuality and it would be quite game changing and out of place.

I personally really believe that Biomes o’ Plenty should just be part of Vanilla minecraft. It would seriously reward exploration and give you so much more fun and interesting things to do.
I feel like Biomes O' Plenty and Alex's mobs should be added in some update (with some adjustments to Alex's mobs e.g. crocs will only attack when you're 15 blocks within their swamp and 2-5 blocks away from them when not near any water source and improve taming mechanics like gainingtrust instead of feeding) because they are the ultimate exploration combo for minecraft
So by this list: Mojang thinks sharks are murder-torpedoes with a deep-seated desire for human flesh. Or else they think that making *polar bears,* who are MORE aggressive than sharks, neutral is perfectly fine, while making *sharks* neutral is too far.
@@asster358 Either way, you get my point. I've never understood how vertical slabs "inhibit creativity". If anything, adding vertical slabs would introduce a whole slew of new possibilities for builds. I've also had an idea for an iron wire item that would be used to craft chain armor (since chainmail is made by twisting iron wire in real life). It would be crafted using 3 iron nuggets. The main reason I want this is because the difficulty of finding chain armor makes it effectively pointless since by the time you finally find some, you'll probably already have stronger armor.
Idk, i've always liked chainmail to be how it is To me it's more like a colection item, so u can find a whole set from loot then make armor stands to display it. Or if you stumble in a dungeon and get lucky on your first few days

Stand on lightning rod during thunderstorms and then there is actual chance of weather killing you. And youre saying the player is never given a chance to avoid any of these scenarios? 7:44 i believe the reason they rejected chains for crafting chainmail armor is because you need an iron ingot and 2 iron nuggets to make one chain. so you're essentially using more iron to get weaker armor which makes this feature pointless
@Kajimaxx they are massive because they are made from blocks, they don't want to add small things with too much detail because it doesn't fit in with the block aesthetic
"They'll also never add a timer item, command or even an enchantment that uses a timer. They haven't said why and they're about to run out of time." Whoever writes these deserves an award
They already added a timer though. you can set a delay in command blocks an use that as a timer (which I take advantage of often) and the delay you can set with repeaters also acts as a timer. To add to that, daylight censors can be used as timers that are set off either every sunset/sunrise or every day/night.
Another cool feature that was scrapped were the Red Dragons. Basically, Notch wanted there to be a smaller, peaceful dragon mob in the Overworld to contrast the Ender Dragon. They were to be tameable and rideable, but Notch left the company before they made any headway on the idea
I totally can’t disagree to mojang denying furniture into the game. The process of making new innovative ways of making our own furniture is just far better than placing a readymade couch.
“All hostile mobs need to be fantasy creatures” Spiders, silverfish, polar bears, bees and skeletons: Dude, we’re right here. Also, sharks could be made realistically while not being hostile. They could be neutral, only attacking when a nearby player is bleeding (an effect that leaves a red particale trail and is possible through being damaged in certain ways like swords, falling, arrows, etc.) or when they’re provoked.
those mobs were in the game loong before those parameters were set tho. But tbh I think it would be cooler for more fantasy hostile mobs for the ocean, like the one on the mob vote. I always like how Mojang does a unique spin, example being Lava boats--- Striders Backpacks--- Shulker boxes
@@Supenly technically, skeletons do shoot bows because we are skeletons and we use bows. And spiders can be hostile, depending on the species. Some have been known to attack unsuspecting people. Also, just because they aren’t in the game like they are irl doesn’t mean that they’re not real. I never said anything about how they attack, just that they exist.
Ya, I also thought why not just do that, with them only attacking if you hit them or get too close for too long, or what you suggested sounds cool too.
Emm, even bleeding sharks won't hunt you. They will attack blood fish and ignore your blood, so it will be better that they only will attack if you have fish in your inventory, idk xd
Plus, The Villagers technically don't build it. If there's a group of Villagers big enough, then a Iron Golem will spawn. Not sure how that works, but it's just kinda... There.
"I don't know, the way light works in real life is just way too modern, in the past light just didn't light anything around you if you were holding it, true story."
Notch didn't have any idea how to program a feature like that, and mojang seems to be focused on things that *actually matter* rather than just quality of life improvements so they could've done it in 1.15 and they might do it in 1.18, but for now we should just stop and wait until something interesting comes, for the creators sanity.
Torches are very modern, let mojang just remove torches, campfires and the fire including entities and blocks itself, cuz they are very mo-o-o-o-odern.
Things literally EVERY player wants: 1. Dynamic light from torches 2. Colorful light from colorful lamps 3. Vertical redstone and slabs And I guess also fireflies and bananas
Never adding anything thats a mod is kinda impossible. People have already made mods of the voteable mobs and biomes. Plus it means that any cool features that they may want to add in the future might have already been snapped up by a mod, even though an idea making it into the full game is the dream of any modder.
Blood Moon = Iconic. Iconic but not in Vanilla. Same for Temperature and Drinking, things that Mod's already have 'by default' nowadays; for good reason.
It's less that they won't add anything that's already a mod, and more that they won't accept any more mods as suggestions. Nah, I'm against Vertical Slabs. We have trapdoors, use that instead. If you can't build without vertical slab, then you probably lack creativity. Adding vertical the game will add more bugs, glitches and some some visual problems. Rather have the current way of building we have nke than that.

C'mon, we've been begging for sideways slabs for soooo long :(
I think that they would be terrible to use.
