I had a very vivid dream last night where I was dressed in a one piece tight spandex leotard with an oversized nightshirt with the heads of Sam Walton and Ronald Reagan emblazoned on the front. I was in Panama standing near the Panama Canal on what was a seemingly beautiful tropical day, when suddenly, I heard the sound of metal on metal and gears grinding to a halt. I looked up to see one of our big ships struggling to make it through that old shipping lane. Big style crates were falling from the deck of the ship into the water and many locals were diving in to rescue our Chinese goodies from water damage. The ship started to spit out an orange colored oil slick. Eventually, the entire crew jumped ship, cocktail waitresses and all, except for our 3 Magi-America's Patriarch, Lord Elon and Dr. Oz. My heart nearly stopped at the sight of the three screaming, "Save our ship, save our ship!" Luckily, my sciatica flare ups weren't as severe due to being in a tropical locale, and so, I quickly pulled out my limited edition mini-Tesla rocket from my knock-off Bournbrook rucksack, lit the fuse with the burning end of my Winchester cigarette and up, up and away I went! Yes, I was a hero as I rescued our 3 Magi from that sinking ship. On the way down, I gently sang Brahm's "Lullaby" into their sweet little ear drums.

Not really a possibility. And if by cosmic chance the a) democrats did mount a challenge during certification and b) the Republicans called for a vote and c) enough Republicans defected to pass the ball goes back to SCOTUS and with a previous 9-0 vote in favor of djt...well nope. But then again, stranger things are happening. Looking forward to the vote today. Popcorn and beverages ready
@@ariaflame-au in theory, and this will not happen, but jan 6 when the electoral votes are counted, someone could object t their certification on the grounds they are invalid because any slate for trump is unconstitutional. this would invalidate any trump votes cast, which would either give Harris the pr4sidency [what should happen because the president is who gets the most votes, and invalid votes wouldn't count], or send the decision to congress, which then gets one vote per state to decide who is president. idk if they could choose anyone or just viable candidates. that's how it COULD happen. more likely none or some democrats will object over the 14th, and republicans will uniformly ignore this and unconstitutionally recognize trump as prez.
The Congress (Senstors and Representatives) who wrote and passed the 14th Amendment, Section 3 believed it was self-enforcing and would automatically be upheld by all government officials Local, State, and Federal because the disqualification was mandatory as it was written. Jamie Raskin has given multiple excellent interviews and speeches explaining this. The State officials who ratified the 14th Amendment, including Section 3, believed the same as the Senators and Representatives in the Federal government at that time.

Of course they are going to fall in line, the “skeptics” are just grandstanding for publicity and will come through in the end. Johnson will be elected by unanimous Republican votes
Are any GOP alternatives being nominated? If the only other choices are Jeffries and abstaining, today could end up not-so-bad. Still, part of me wants this to go past Jan 6th, just to watch the dumpster fire grow.
Belle, correct. The people you named might vote against Johnson, but they are also the hyper conservatives that want to stop all social entitlements. We might not be better off if they get their choice for Speaker.
Kind of weird. You would expect that the party who won, according to their own estimate in a landslide, would not start like this but exitedly preparing for the next two years. They are power hungry but if they have power, they seem not to know how to handle it.
Most of the anti-Johnson comments I've seen is that Johnson is "giving too much to the Democrats." In other words, he occasionally works in a bipartisan way to get things done. I guess those Rs don't want to get things done. (Bipartisanship should be the way things are done. That way, the needs of the US people are the reason for doing things, not merely a single party's wishes.)

The current President of South Korea has the same mentality. It seems to be a sort of elite class disease that "globalization" gave us. The likes of Yoon and Trump will never respect the law because they have lived in tight bubbles of privilege their entire lives and can surround themselves with fawning media 24-7-365.25 to justify their tyranny. But if we continue to protest for our rights as citizens, one day they'll have no moral authority left and their last bodyguards will desert them.

How about the 25th? Silence…….. Kamala, hunter 2028
THANK YOU BELLE
Welcome to another 4 years of chaos.
Don't forget the constant lies and non-stop gaslighting.
The best we can hope for is to have them expending political capital against each other.
Thank You Belle and Team for the News Highlights and The trump🤡 regime Observations.
He's going to get it. Musk has spoken. 😢
No, he won't. Musk is irrelevant.
"They don't want the party held down by fringe republicans"
And yet, they support Trump. The GOP could not be more wack.
Good morning, all!👋
Thank you Belle again from Sterling Heights Michigan USA

Since when is the (re)election of a Speaker Breaking News? Massey stayed true to his word.and can stand up straight today at least. The rest will have to remain on their knees.
I think they will vote for Johnson. They want to certify the election. That doesn't mean they would have enough votes to raise the debt ceiling say. For that they would likely need some Dems.
Of course they are going to fall in line, the “skeptics” are just grandstanding for publicity and will come through in the end. Johnson will be elected by unanimous Republican votes
Well, 3 voted for a different guy each, usual suspects there. And a good number of the ones with personal issues crumbled.
🍿 🍿 🍿
Good morning Bounce! Extra butter?
@victoriajohnson-parratt6975 good morning Victoria!! Yes plenty of butter and kettle corn!
As of 12:36 pm MST, Mike Johnson still lacks a majority.
Part of the show, I'll guess they'll fall in line on the next try.
What about Patrick Henry?
When people are hopeless, they turn to hopeless ideas. Welcome to our new lawless society as stated by Justice Robert’s himself.
Hi Belle 👋🏻💙. Guess we’ll find out if trmp has a big Johnson or a tiny Johnson to swing around for a while today.
You mean the party of purity tests can't deliver for a diverse polity? Shocking!
@@wyw876 Although the left has its own "purity tests" (and often are horrible to its allies. As is said "they eat their own.")
Liz Cheney for Speaker.. let’s have a real Speaker of the House…
Update: a bunch of them caved and voted him back in.
If you ask a biologist, they'll tell you that all humans are vertebrates. Apparently they've never met the GOP.
What did Johnson have to promise them?
Johnson showing his chops. He can get bi partisan spending bills passed and get his party in line to keep him in power.
i am listening to Cspan live on nominations of Jeffries & Johnson, and now. the vote on them.
They are all gonna fall in line like good little fascists.
In line or out of the window.
yup never give an order you don't think will be obeyed
Bigly day for bigly discord.
I'm here for the show!
Big day? Are they getting married ?!
nope. Musk is his hubby already.
They’re just settling up Trump’s 4 year long “wedding night” with America. Honestly, that’s what that idiot is going to do the country.
Knew they’d fold. Just can’t go against King Donald and Queen Elon. Frankly, I’m tired of hearing how “things will be bad for Trump” when it never materializes.
Wouldn't it be great if Hakeem Jeffries won the speakership? Trump would stroke out!
Good morning everyone ❤
Look! The circus is in town!
Love your shirt, Belle! Appreciate your wisdom!💙
As a supposed great business genius, DJT has absolutely no understanding of the concept of political capital. It's a resource that must be earned and can be spent like any other resource, but can also be squandered and mismanaged like any other resource. He just assumes politics is him talking and everyone else listening.
Looks like he lost the first vote round as Massie and Norman voted for someone else.
You forgot to mention that without a speaker there can be no Jan 6 counting of the electoral vote.
Couldn’t happen to a more deserving group of…people.
Make the vote anonymous and Johnson will lose big bigly.
No matter what Don thinks about his Johnson, Trump is a lame duck the second he starts his presidency.
I like the word idiot.
I know they are called "The Party of Bad Ideas" and rightfully so. They have all their [bleep] all over the place (and what word is, I'll leave it up to the dear reader). [bleep] in the floor! [bleep] on the walls! [bleep] on the walls and even on the ceiling! [bleep] all over and inside their clothing! All they can do is [bleep] the bed and they cant seem to get their [bleep] together... in a box or crate or bucket or luggage or anything! I hope they can get their [bleep] together long enough to realize how [bleep] they are, and do everyone the honor packing themselves with all their own [bleep] so better people can toss out of the bad [bleep]! And most of the "Party of No Ideas" enablists can go with them!
