I absolutely love this band their chunky ness the guitar work the bass these guys are phenomenal an can’t wait to see what the future holds for thy art is murder love Cody
I met Kevin when he was a teenager with Aversions Crown when they were still playing local dive bars, and even then I knew he had something special. Bass often takes a backseat in metal and merely provides a basic foundation for the guitars, but a well written song with an intelligent bassline can be so fuckin badass.
a sad melody, depressing in places, it's cool that it was the bass part that was shown, because basically it is just not heard, since guitars, drums and vocals. the track is just under a rainy autumn.
Pro tip, separate the artist from the art. Whatever Thy Art Is Aversions Crown does on the inside is irrelevant when it comes to the awesome songs they write. I personally don’t care for Tyler’s vocals on the album, but depending on how things go in a few years, I might try the next one
Or, understand that they made the choice to part ways with someone who didn't reflect the band's visions and beliefs. That's okay and you need to realise that.
@@jessewise6449Yup, that's the mature way to look at it. I believe the problem arises when contemporary culture has a tendency to cancel everyone speaking common sense. Like raising your voice against popularizing gender changing surgery for children, or against raising them in a way which is opposite to their gender. We're all a mixture of feminine and masculine traits and both sides should be explored and understood. In the past, children were broken to fit into the boxes of classic gender roles, which was utterly toxic. In the current times, it's the complete opposite, but just as toxic. We need balance. When bands have to kneel down to propaganda just so they can keep on playing, you know you're living in fucked up times.
@@kakadu2004 I'm not sure you read the post the band put out, but they said that this was the straw that broke the camels back, not the only time he had done something wrong. People are not forced to change their gender, so it isn't at all like the old times, as you said it was. I'm not sure why it's so hard to understand that people touring the world in a band decided that someone's views really didn't match up the rest and were likely not getting along at all, so they decided to ask him to leave. If you worked, and in some cases lived, with someone who you totally disagreed with, you'd very likely do the same.
It’s great to see deathcore bassists get a shout out for a change, well done Kevin!
WOW, you don't often see "bass playthroughs" but here, Kevin is worth a look 🤩.
Well done Kevin👍

The bass practically just plays the guitar parts, it's crazy good.
@@x0scimy0x yeah I love it when bassists don’t make it easy in themselves
Nice to see a Stingray bass, so used to seeing Ibanez or Dingwalls in modern metal

I'm sad I got here at like 667 :( I am now the 668th like, the neighbor of the beastly like. However, this is beastly bass.

Don't let this man distract you from the fact that in 2023, Thy Art threw CJ off the latest album, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer's table.
well yeah I will not
