Let's be realistic. There's only one way to get rid of this debt and that's to let inflation run and inflate the debt away. We're too far beyond any way to ever pay this back. And no politician will ever reduce spending, despite what they say, and . There's only two choices. 1) Let inflation run 2) Let the US currency and US economy collapse. Both options suck. But #1 is at least survivable.

Look globally and everyone’s national debt, and taxes, and prices for food, housing, cars, everything is just going up, and up, and up faster than wage rises, especially for average workers. Without some miracle, one has to wonder how long it can before perhaps literally everything, economy, everything, crashes be that five, ten, fifteen or twenty years from now and in the meantime we can expect more and more poverty, rising homelessness. The only things likely to continue falling are birth rates and life expectancy.

If it kept growing at recent levels, be over 20 billion by then and we’re consuming resources so fast now at 8/9 billion trouble lies probably within this century and a number of studies agree. A lot have it around 2050, but had it starting around 2020. It won’t be overnight, will affect different people at different times but for many, it has now begun.
