It appeared to be so simple and easy to do. Great info! Appreciations!
Thank you!! This light appeared on mine tonight and I didn't know what it was or how to get rid of it.
For those struggling to get rid of the light, keep on holding the button down even after the shaver has stopped.
Ya mine is fair annoying because it won't turn on and that stupid light keeps flashing and it's so hard to but it back together properly
Holding down the button did NOT solve my issue. Even cleaning the shaver under running water left it dark and nonfunctioning -- must be a water ingress issue that requires drying first.
What actually does it mean with this light on?
Thank you that worked. BTW:
I read in the manual it has something do with letting you know your blades are getting old and need to be replaced. How it knows or keeps track is a mystery to me.

@@sundo-pf5zvTry cleaning the base of the spindles (reaching right under them and around the holes they are situated in). Worked for me
Thank you, couldn't find my manual to reset this thing!
Holding the button down fixed the issue. Many thanks! Btw these are the best little shavers. Especially for manscaping.
Thank you for this. I had to open it up and do some cleaning with cotton tips and alcohol. But all of it together did the trick!
Спасибо! Выключил индикатор и бритва стала брить как новая!
Thank you very much for this video it helped me so much today! 🧐🇬🇧🤔🤝👍🏻❤️
Thanks this was driving me nuts
thanks brother it helped me to reset my at890 shaver
thanks. very helpful!
Mine still doesn't work. Any idea what to do?
Thank you for posting this!
✌️ You're welcome!
Thank you very much ❤️
I cleaned my razor and when it didn't work I looked into it. I read in the manual it has something do with letting you know your blades are getting old and need to be replaced. How it knows or keeps track is a mystery to me.

Thanks it's work 👍👍
Muchas gracias, excelente tutorial
Why? He does not explain anything and nobody here gives a decent answer on the issue.
Thanks so so much
Mine is playing up really bad.
Sometimes pressing the button doesn’t absolutely nothing, and then randomly after pressing it a few times it might turn on with the head change light blinking for a few seconds, but I can’t turn the shaver off, it will only stop on its own after a few seconds. The shaver simply doesn’t turn on every time you press the button, when it does turn on it stays on for a few seconds on its own before turning off, and holding the button has done absolutely nothing.
Thank you. 👍🏻
Thank you!
Thank You. 😍😍
Thanks dude
I think you want to try to keep the blades and their heads together so they wear out together.
Yes indeed. And protect the blades. Don't drop them on the sink. 🤦♂️
I have the 3 lights and the power light illuminated whilst charging, but lights won't go out when I press and depress the power button, nor will shaver work.
If you're only removing and cleaning (not replacing) the heads you're supposed to keep the blades and heads matched. So don't just dump them out like this guy did!
My Philips has 5 vertical lights, 1 light on each side of the vertical lights, and during operation, the bottom light blinks red continuously, and after turning off again the bottom light blinks 4 times with a sequence of 3 blinks in short succession. -- One commenter says the light is about cleaning the shaver. -- Incidentally, the shaver stopped working a while ago, and now it suddenly works again but doing the blinking light. So I did the cleaning under running water, tried the ON button but all is dark. I guess the shaver is dark during drying itself. There must be a grounding issue while it's wet. -- I will keep monitoring the issue.
Thanks
your welcome
I just but a cheap shaver from argos so least I got one that works again
Still doesn't work, I have the same model. After keeping pressed the button, light goes off but it won't start again
This worked for me partly. After fighting with it for days I've been able to get it to run by constantly turning the motor shafts but despite this the light will not go away and the shaver refuses to work most of the time. Any ideas how to solve it?
@@deancosens5710 I've the same problem eventually I just bought a lidi one instead
FYI this is to reset the light...if the light returns that means there is an issue...usually needs to be cleaned, especially at the base of the spinners.
You're quite right. Even after replacing the blades and giving the mechanism a good clean it still wouldn't work. I was about to throw the whole shaver away. However, I followed your advice and thoroughly cleaned the base of the spindles and it worked again. Many thanks
Philips sw3700 problem boton roge
I replaced my blades not long ago and it wasn't doing this. And now it's doing this? Nah, no thanks, you can see it's on a timer only, not a smart detector or something. It was created to sell more razor blades. When i saw the cost of original Philips replacemrnt blades, i just bought them from China on Ebay instead, much cheaper, and pretty much as good as the original ones.
That didn’t work
