Tt01 or tt02? Tt01 is awesome for on road madness but tt02 does on road and buggy so thats the choice. If you want just amazing on road buy tt01. Also tt01 you can build 2 motors and 2 gearboxes to make a 1 off monster (alice).
Be interesting to see how much the chassis weighs for each one….when racing I know some take weight shedding to the limit (within the rules) so minimising wire lengths, use or shorty packs etc….also I think the 01e has a slightly different steering setup re bell housing or something like that but not exactly sure…🤔🤷♂️ Great video ….you nailed it about how it takes time to ‘dial in’ the car so maybe you can do a video on what ‘dialling in’ means and what needs to be done. 🙂🙏
@@PopalongRC hahahaha its cool dude 👍 I've yet to buiild my 01e so will weigh the chassis and see if I can find anything onlinw for the 02....I'm sure some nerd like me must have weighed it out 😂 (yeah I'm sad like that hahaha)
Interesting. When start looking for tamiyas I wondered what all these chassis are and don't knew what I need or even want. After I settled myself for an onroad car I decided to get an tt02D. the D because the others sets I searched for hadn't bearings included. Later I found out that there are also stronger plastic parts on the D version. Other than that my Tamiya is a fat ass now. Yea it is heavy. But that is after I ask myself what I really want. Did set it up pretty soft and it is really predictable but not as fast as it could be.
Does the TT-01 have better steering / direction control than the TT-02? I haven’t been able to get good direction control with my TT-02 (even after tuning it with hop ups) and it did a lot of fishtailing on the track. Decided to retire it from racing in favour of the M-07, which I found to have gotten much better control compared to the TT-02. 👀
We know how to get best out of Tt01 and similar set up works on Tt02. Shock set up - tyre choice are biggest contributors to performance.. M07 was designed with racing in mind so performs well out the box
Great video. Just built a tt-02 and looking to race. What tyres do you run? Are they normally a controlled tyre for racing? Just down the road from Leighton buzzard.
We are running Sweep 28 at Leighton they work really well on these cars on the Leighton Carpet. I believe Sundon Models still have sets in stock and additive too..
Yea weird I watched this video and only thing I learn was different chassis 😕 pretty sure could of let us know a lot more .. like steering ? Suspension travel camber or toe adjust or weights with out rad gear etc ... Guess I keep looking
Depends on a few things and what rules and regs you need to follow if club racing … check out this video we did on the topic . ua-cam.com/video/8Q5iO8SsK8U/v-deo.html
@@PopalongRC thank you that recommended video to watch, was really useful because my hobbie is also racing rc cars and they tamiya nights too. The problem I've just started racing 2 months ago and I'm trying to get into it. Anyway thanks again for the advice
Good review Popalong, answers that question that so many of us have been thinking 👌🏼
Cheers Shaun …. Thanks for watching

Can’t weigh components now as it’s already been built

Please Sir what wil mke better drift chassis of the 2🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Think the 2 has a drift option … will need after market parts to make really good though
What is the difference between the TT01 and the TT01E?

I'm after a nice looking bodyshell and has got aero dynamics, what bodyshell would you recommend for a tto1e?

Budget cars????????? tamiya is never budget you are talking at least 200 quid.
It’s all relative
@@PopalongRC Tamiya is quality but never budget. You want budget buy traxxas.
@@cutterbacon i know im here late but traxxas is definitely the most expensive rc company for 1/10, buy redcat if you want cheap rcs
