The grey bucket with the handle is for separating your trash. I have 6 more square ones in a big drawer under my kitchen sink. In Sweden we separate our trash and recycle it. I separate plastic, glass, metal, cardboard, paper and organic waste. Once a week or so we take it to a recycling station (we are only 2 in our household).🇸🇪
Oh ok! Thank you! Here we have large cans to put the recycling in and they pick it up on trash day. I compost my own kitchen scraps so that stays out of the landfill. I keep my glass jars to reuse for different things some of which are actual mason jars that I can use to can my own produce in. Recycling is a bit of a scam as I understand it. Most of that stuff winds up in landfills or dumped at sea, so it's really better to incorporate the waste into your lifestyle and limit the need to recycle or throw away anything. It's difficult, but a better long term impact. We need to shift from consumption to production, and this is difficult as the means of production is not high tech and it's rather dirty. But so rewarding!
@@PattymacMakes Yeah, I remember hearing that recycling in the US can be a bit of a scam. I'm from the US but have lived in Sweden for the past 12 years. And they really do recycle everything here. You can't walk up the street too long before you come to recycling bins. I don't think I've ever seen regular trash cans here. I guess that's a friendly tip for anyone thinking about visiting Sweden ... be prepared to separate your trash. It's really nice though and why Ikea sells those small trash bins =)
@@spacepuppie It's not difficult to do, for sure! Reducing waste over all is the real key and reusing what you can at home instead of the recycling is also key. I've started making my own condiments like sour cream and salad dressings etc, so that reduces a TON of plastic waste. Plus it's much better for our health. It's all about changing habits, and while it does generate extra work, I think the benefit outweighs the inconvenience. I love my country, but frankly, A LOT of what they feed Americans in terms of food and information and news is garbage and a total scam. It's sad and I hope the country wakes up at some point. Love to connect with others around the world over our mutual love of IKEA!! 😃
In Wales we have kerbside recycling - so we separate our recycling into different containers, place them outside our house and they are collected by the Local Council every week.
Little fun fact about the names at IKEA: each group has a “theme”. Garden furniture has names of Swedish islands, book shelves are named after jobs or beds are named after Norwegian cities. And since the danish and Swedish people like to tease each other, all rugs and door mats have names of danish cities 😅
Oh how interesting!! I'm definitely going to save this bit of trivia and share it in the next video I do while visiting Ikea which I'm expecting to film on Monday.
I'm fortunate to live 20 min from an IKEA, it's quite an experience. My daughter and I go a few times a year. My husband isn't allowed with me ever again he won't follow the arrows..he wants get what he wants and leave. So much awesomeness to see !!
It's so fun to walk through and enjoy it. I love the rooms they set up as vingettes. My favorite is the 610 square foot house design. It's my dream house!!
I have a great hack for the jonaxel. I run a prayer quilt ministry, and we needed multiple sewing stations. We have 4 of them spaced out along a long wall, and we cut and finished plywood, to make table tops, we now have 3 complete sewing stations and each station has its own set of drawers and supplies. It is the perfect table top height for a work station. this could also work for an office desk at home, and I bet they have table tops you can buy and use as well.
That is an amazing tip!! Thank you so much for sharing with us. This is a prime example of what I love about Ikea. It is so flexible and can be made in to whatever someone needs the most!
Hello! I hope my quick note finds you well and happy. I spent the day in my sewing room making scrap string baskets for my daughter's business. Now I get the treat of watching you! I hope you have a glorious week ahead! Thank you for sharing your time, talent and videos!
Something i started recently is i put a clear plastic candy jar from the dollar tree next to my sewing machine to put scraps into. Its turning out to be such a cute little addition to my desk.
Glad you are planning ahead with your ability to get food. Everyone needs to do what you did and plan to have food for an extended period of time. A years worth of food we rotate through in our homes would save so much stress with the increase of prices. I feed my dogs a bunch of veggies and have had the hardest time getting them at Costco (medley mix, cabbage heads). I plan to grow a garden full of cabbage this summer to freeze for them. Having a dehydrator would be even better to do what you did. I’m in Alaska and we do not have IKEA here but I enjoyed watching what you looked at. Take care and keep on planning for a rainy day.
Thank you Kathy! I agree having an extended pantry to carry you along for a long period of time is critically important. People dismiss it and it's detrimental. The cost of everything is so high now, that if I didn't have put away what I put away, I would have trouble keeping us fed. And I am growing everything I can to minimize buying produce in the store. I haven't found it as easy to get my lettuce going as people like to say, but once it establishes it does really well. I have a Cosori dehydrator and I did my own potato slices last year which are really good. I want to start growing my own mushrooms and I figure I can dry those, too. Ikea is a huge blessing, and I'm so ready to go back again for another visit! You might want to consider a heated green house or some sort of indoor grow set up so you can extend your growing season and have more variety of produce. Alaska is a tough climate to garden in!
LOVE IT! I'm surprised how those containers are so inexpensive! You're right the gray ones are not appealing at all. 🙂 The teal cart is cute! You did a great job. I got to see the specific items and the price which is awesome. I'm bummed there's no IKEA near here that I can go to in person. But seeing your video, I am encouraged to check online! take care, hope you have a good weekend.
Thank you for that feedback!! I really like their organizers. I’ll do a video showing how I use everything. I do think you can mail order the small items so definitely look into it.
I'm really glad that you took us on an Ikea tour with you. I've never even seen an Ikea store, it I'd love to go to one. I'll see if I can shop online. Thanks again. (Where did you buy your freeze dried spinach?)
I’m really happy you enjoyed it Cindy!! I love going there. I get my Augason farms on Amazon in their store there. I should add a link! I didn’t realize it would be so popular
Thanks for taking us inside your Ikea store and explaining how to find items in the warehouse. I've never been as the closest store is a couple hours away, but I hope to make it here someday!
It's a really fun day trip with a 2 hour drive. They have a cafe so the next time I go over I'll plan my time to have lunch in there to show that to every one. I never see anyone stopping to enjoy lunch.
@@Grace_x68 Oh it's ok!! It's kind of funny which is why I showed it the way I did. Welcome to the channel! I do so appreciate you subscribing. IKEA is just so awesome. I love all my furniture from them.
Thank you for the ideas. Your video helped me figure out a better wall system for my zippers (I don’t like what I currently have and have been trying to figure out something better for 1 1/2 years!)
Loved the store tour and ideas of the carts and containers. I’m not good at looking at something and saying what I can do with it. Would love you to tour again with all the ideas of tables, drawers, containers and everything good for crafting ing use!
New subbie here! Going on a trip this week and will be going to Ikea for the first time. Can't wait to see everything in real life! 🙂 I love the jars so much. They would be great for my dried beans.
Brilliant vid Patty. Keep them coming. You are totally natural and absolutely brilliant at vids. Just found your vid today for the first time....... so I look forward to being in your sewing room for much more inspiration. You are a gem! Love from Aus 💜💜💜🧥🧥🧥👚👚👚👕👕👕🩳🩳🩳
Welcome aboard! Thank you so much Trudy! There are several videos showing the sewing room and different fabric hauls and I hope you find videos both informative and entertaining.
Oh! I have got to get out to Virginia Beach and visit the IKEA store. I really need some extra shelf thing in my kitchen pantry. Also looking for a small container with sections to use at my machine. I have a container but it’s with no sections and I usually end up having to dump it to find what I need. I think when we get back from vacation I will drag hubby to IKEA.
They have so many doo dads I’m sure you can find something your like that works. I think it’s a fun store to visit so you should definitely go check it out!
IKEA is such a great place to get ideas and for young people just starting out. We started there 30+ yrs ago. When it became time for our kids to venture out of the nest, this is where we went.
I also bought Ikea pieces when I got into my first apartment 30 some years ago!! I figure this stuff will certainly last me as long as I need it. And it's great to use and easy to keep clean.
Thanks for taking us along to IKEA😊. To save $$ I just take old shoes boxes that I cover with old wrapping paper for my scraps & that way it’s almost zero cost & then more $$ for fabric. They look nice on my shelves when not in use as I use all the same wrapping paper. I’d be in BIG trouble going to IKEA because I’d want to purchase everything! Have you ever bought their fabric?
I'm glad you enjoyed doing a little shopping with me! I keep my scraps in the drawers in my craft cart so the drawer organizers slip in and hopefully I can clean up my mess in there! I have used Ikea fabric. I made a curtain to cover my laundry area and thought the fabric was quite nice. Unfortunately, they took the fabric out of my store, so it's gone. I don't know if that's all stores or not and the clerk I asked about it did not know either. I just now checked the app and all the fabric is gone!!!!!! So another casualty of the past two years of shenanigans.
@@darlenemitchell4198 Gosh I know! I was a canvas weight so nice bag making material. It worked really well for the those big curtains I sewed , and it was so inexpensive. I have some left overs and some other print I bought a while back that's still in there. I think the suppliers for all their stuff is the problem. They are having difficulty with suppliers for products at this point.
Patty, I just love your heart. You never ever make your viewers feel like you want something. ( I hope you understand what im trying to say 🤔) That was an awesome video!! So fun and informative. Thank you
I loved your video! IKEA is my fav place but I live 140miles away! However I haven’t been there since before the pandemic! Thank you for sharing with all of sew/quilters!! What are the names of your sweet horses? Great idea about the Spinach. My next trip will be to include jars and other freeze dried items!!! Tytytyvm for your videos! ❤❤🫶🏻😊🤗
Well you should plan a fun over night trip to visit! I'm over due to visit ours and expect to go back in another week or so.Thank you so much for watching and leaving such a nice comment! The spinach I got from Augason farms on amazon. I should add a link for it!
The only IKEA store I know about is in Las Vegas. I live in Southeast Missouri. If I went to the Las Vegas store and picked out some thing for my craft room, would they send it to me in Missouri. Are there professional people out there who know how to set up all the IKEA stuff in your home space! I do quilting, crochet and knitting, watercolor painting, and beading.
I don't know how close you are to St. Louis but the store website says there is one there. You might check the ikea website for locations. I don't know about decorators who use ikea to design a space. I know they have some assistance in the store for kitchens. I would recommend going to the store closer to you and bringing it home. The furniture is pretty heavy and shipping would be a fortune! Plus it's just fun to go to their physical stores.
The gray bucket with a handle is for organizing pantries, trash or recyling and compost. I see people bring them to my farmers market to empty their food scrap into the Compost Angel. The names are Swedish, same the world over. Join their family club and get a free coffee when you visit. Also IKEA recycles batteries and some other items, can also trade in furniture. Where do you get the dehydrated food? I eat a 3 lb bag of spinach a week. Takes up space in my fridge, sounds better than frozen. You can order many things online. I have offices, and furniture from IKEA in a few different homes.
Thanks for the tip on the gray buckets. Several people have chimed in to say they are used to separate trash and recycling in Sweden. I have curbside pickup for mine every two weeks so I just put it in that can and don't worry about the separation indoors. I buy my freeze dried spinach from Augason Farms on Amazon. I guess I should add an affiliate link for that, because I do get so many questions about it. I use the dehydrated product in my shakes and I grow my own fresh for salads or meals. Depending on where you live, you might want to try growing some of your own! I highly recommend it!
Thank you for the heads up on the Hogsma. I have two raskog carts and I was able to order the tops. Our IKEA is 2 hours away and prepandemic I loved going every so often but our store has been so bare the last few times because of the pandemic. Luckily I got the drop leaf table right before the lock down and it is the perfect table in my sewing room. I have so much ikea furniture. 🤣
Oh my gosh, you will LOVE the Hogsma. It's a small thing but it makes such a difference. I need to redo my office trolley when I get to the spring cleaning...probably next month after the worst of the pollen is over. The store here is hit or miss, and what's in now it a LOT more expensive, so I'm glad I'm not in the immediate market for any furniture. It's not going to improve any time soon which is sad. Very sad. I'm so glad I took the chance on my Norden when I had the chance. It's been such a great sewing table.
In all the years that I have been sewing, I have never thought to use a small bin to collect my scraps. I’ve been using plastic grocery bags which my mom takes, she empties the bag and uses my scraps for stuffing. But I never get my bags back. I’m hoping that will change with my new bin. Thanks again.
You're welcome! I bought some small organizers from Home depot and I'm using them to corral a bunch of small scrappy pieces. I'll do a video on that tomorrow. I had an absolute mess of a pile in a corner and now it's at least some what sorted. It's an ongoing experiment to find what works.
Many of the names of IKEA things are from names of villages in Sweden, it is fun because the names is the same in the whole world. I have been in Högsma many times, a very small village.
Thank you Eva!! I'll have to look it up and see if Hogsma has any pictures on google. It's interesting to know what the names mean. And I agree! It is fun!
At 45 seconds in, what is that that your sewing machine is sitting on? Just curious as I have next to no space to set up a sewing area. Son moved back home and took back my sewing/crafts room. 😢
That's my Norden table!! I absolutely love it and I highly recommend it! I have a video about it if you're interested ua-cam.com/video/Wjjp1Ro1mG4/v-deo.html It's gone up quite a bit in price, but I still think it's worth it. I just checked my Ikea app and it's gone up in price again so it's now $319, so I would not wait to get it if you like it.
Live in South Carolina! We don’t have an IKEA have to go to Atlanta or North Carolina to get to one! I Love IKEA but haven’t gone since Covid ! Like Atlanta better !
Of course, but I'm not sure how enjoying Ikea is mutually exclusive from engaging in emergency preparedness. This video is not a preparation video but about sewing room organization. And for me, sewing and quilting is a big part of my preparations. I know things will be difficult to obtain, so I keep myself well supplied in fabric and thread as well as beans and rice. I hope that answers the question. I get what you mean, but this particular video is not about that topic.
Thank you for the in-store video! I am definitely planning a trip now! Your coughspinachcough looks gorgeous in the jar! Next #10 can I open is going in a pretty jar too!!!
What a great way to keep track of embroidery supplies! I'm so blessed to have it so close! All I can suggest is an over night trip or drive up really early and shop around, have lunch and drive back. It will be daylight savings time soon so you won't have to drive in the dark. I think it's worth doing every so often!
Who doesn’t love a trip to IKEA?! Thank you for taking us along. It’s been awhile for me, and you showed some items I’ve not seen before. My sewing room is 95% IKEA. Looks like a trip is in order😊
My guess was basil in jar.We call it Olive green but I will never see it the same again😊.It was a great trip out. Thank you. I was wrong spinach best way also saves any prep.
It's specifically about using Ikea items to organize small items, so I'm not sure what your were expecting. If you leave feedback it's helpful if you describe WHAT you want instead of just complaining. This is an Ikea specific video so I understand if you don't have access to Ikea, but that's not something I can help.
I generally just show items and let people come to their own conclusions on how to use something. I don't necessarily purchase what I'm showing you. A lot of people simply enjoy seeing the store itself.
Can you do a video tour of local quilt shops? Love Ikea. You gotta use a little Yankee ingenuity in getting some of those heavy boxes on the warehouse shelves onto your trolly and then into your car when you don’t have help.
So true!! 😂😂 I went back and wound up getting a new office chair that was on close out. There is only one local shop here that’s a quilt store which is why I go to Joann so often and order online. There is a fabric store on the other side of town I haven’t been to yet so I need to check them out. And a couple other Joann stores that are larger than my usual store. I don’t go to the small quilt shop because she’s still enforcing masks and I don’t support businesses still doing that. Everything is open here and case counts are virtually zero so I think it’s ridiculous. She’s the only business I know of here still doing that. I know it’s controversial but I live in a free state and I have a choice about masking as well as where I spend time and money as she has the right to make requests of her guests. So I won’t go to her shop until things change. Though to be honest she’s $15 and up a yard and I can do better for my money with fat quarter shop. Though if she dropped her mandate, I would definitely visit again. This is my personal choice and I’m grateful to still have that freedom. Maybe as summer wears on. I can call her and confirm whether it’s still the case or not but as of today it’s still posted on her website.
@@PattymacMakes I agree with you 100% about having to still wear a mask, the owner of the quilt store is most likely fearful. I live in MA and the only place I have to wear a mask is in healthcare establishments although I still see a lot of people wearing masks out and about.
@@PattymacMakes your Ikea is nicer than mine, I have to park in the underground basement and enter through the garage. I have ordered online and picked up at the store, that went well for large items because they go get them. I still had to put them in my car, the guy handed me the trolley and walked away. Chivalry is dead.
I so wish there was a IKEA store near me. The closest one is near Dallas or Kansas City. You would think they would build one in Oklahoma City as big as our population is.
Due to covid issues and now the recession, I don't see them expanding at all for a long time. Which is so unfortunate. I haven't been to mine in well over a year now and it's really time to go back. I just don't shop like I used to.
@@PattymacMakes I tried to order a few small things online, and no matter what I order the delivery fee would be $129.00 did not matter if it was one or 10 items. So crazy.!
I have the same white desk everyone has from Ikea with the drawers on the sides. It makes the best sewing station for me. I even purchased Ikea silverware trays and they fit in the drawers sideways and sit on the lip of the drawers, and you still have storage under the tray.. the tray sitting on the lip of the drawer doesn't prohibit you from closing the drawers. I know that sounds confusing but it's the best space saver!!
Well great minds must think alike, because I've used the same organizers for sorting scraps! I love your tip about the desk with drawers as a sewing station. I'm assuming it's the one with the Alex drawers??? I'm going back to Ikea and have a look at making other suggestions for sewing tables and I would love to include your set up in the video. (I'm finally going to buy a new phone so I can take decent looking video when I go out and about.) Thank you so much for sharing!
We used to have to do the same thing! Stay overnight and it makes it more enjoyable and really fun. If you know you want specific items I would suggest you check availability on the app and if it’s low in stock but it ahead and pick it up. Then you won’t be disappointed
I love the tour of your Ikea store. The closest one is over 2 hours but if you could get everything in one trip beats the delivery charge. Storage items are so reasonably priced even with the increases you mentioned. 👍
I think if you have a plan before you go, a 2 hour drive is reasonable. Especially if you leave early, you can have lunch in the store before you come home. It's a nice outing and I love a good drive on a beautiful day!
I agree, this is a great "how to shop at IKEA" tutorial video! Though I have been there several times myself, I understand it can be confusing and/or overwhelming at first!!! Great job, @pattyMac, I think this video will help lots of people in several ways.
I find it on Amazon in the Augason Farms store. I discovered freeze dried food last year and while I do have some for long term food storage, I also started using it in my regular cooking too. I use freeze dried onions because I had to cut down on them and i waste the fresh ones. So the freeze dried I can use and not have any go bad.
@@PattymacMakes I totally understand. We get out spinach or veggies and everytime some go bad before we can use them. But we tried freezing spinach and put in smoothies. But it's gross for anything else. I love the jar idea , very pretty instead of all the boxes. I'm also trying to figure out how to organize my small kitchen better. So thank you for the organization tips for craft room , but I could use some things for the kitchen or other rooms too. Basically we have too much stuff giggle. Have a great weekend.
Wonderful video, Patty--you did a great job of filming! I haven't been to IKEA yet as the closest one to me is 250 miles away, so thanks for "taking me along"! 😁
I've never seen anything as nice as what Ikea carries at a dollar store. Not in my area anyway. And I prefer Ikea for a shopping experience. I go out so seldom so visiting the store and enjoying that outing is part of the experience for me.
That was a fun shopping spree. It’s always fun to see what is out there and how to use it. I am in a very rural area with the closest town of 5,000 people is about 35 miles away. No shopping there, (WalMart is it) but the city is only 140 miles away and I do go there two or three times a year. But I have no idea if there is an IKEA store. I’ll have to look it up and see. I hate going to the city, the traffic is just awful, but I have a favorite fabric store, and I stock up when I go! You have so many great ideas and tips on organization. I simply must get busy and organize my sewing room, and you are the motivating factor! Thank you.
Thanks for that wonderful feedback Jodi! I lived rural for about 7 years, and some things I loved, but other things I didn't. The driving made me crazy, and it was too much for me. I also take care of my mother and there's no way I can manage her in that situation anymore. We are back in town, and while I do love it, I also kind of wish I was way out in the boondocks right about now. People do seem to enjoy the shopping style videos so I'm going to work on doing more of them. It's a fun break from what's otherwise a LOT of really bad news. And we all need that mental break for it.
Yes I like the video of IKEA. I have only been to one 1 time. I forget what a great store it is. So it reminds me to go there more often. And your place looks great and very organized. I really like IKEA , it is just not close . So I tend to forget about it. No more after seeing your video. Thanks . Have a great day.😊
Hi Patty! I cracked up when you mentioned the baby sh*t green as we say here in the south. My dad once bought a truck and had me and my mom come see it. We both said “Ewe! Baby sh*t tan!” Needless to say he did not keep the truck 😂😂😂 Howdy from Texas!!
HA HA!!! yeah, that baby sh*t green is definitely a southern thing. I know some people love it, but I'm not one of them. And it sounds like I'm in good company. 😂
i HEART ikea too! PLUS, i have bought ALL of your recommended items and furniture pieces. because....PMM recommended those. AND i LOVE all of them, thank you PMM!!
I used two IKEA plain dressers for storing my fabric. To strengthen for the weight of the fabric my husband glued all supports. They have have been up with no problem for 15 years.
That's a great idea!! And also a great tip on adding wood glue to strengthen the furniture. I absolutely love my Ikea furniture and people who are critical of it have probably not used any of it. Thanks for your comment!
Thank you for letting me know Erica! UA-cam is horrible for distributing videos to subscribers. If you miss watching maybe 2 new videos, they are not suggested anymore. It's very frustrating! I also get aggravated when channels I follow but can't watch right away start disappearing from my home and even subscriptions feed! It's a constant battle. I do send email 2-4 times a month, so you might want to subscribe to that. I send notifications on updates, but then sometimes the email providers filter out email. They don't make it easy!
I went to my IKEA a couple months ago & everything had signs saying 'not in stock'. Not sure I want to make that trip again for nothing. Plus like everyone they are jacking up the prices whether or not they really paid more for it to get it
Yeah it's kind of hit or miss on some of the stock. I'm so glad I got my furniture when I did. And everything is costing a LOT more. Welcome to hyper inflation. It's not a good situation. If you need anything, you probably want to get it now.
"The ugly bucket" is a recycling rubbish bin since we are quite in to recycling in Sweden as many of us Swedes are into everything minimising our negative environmental impact ;)
Oh thank you! A few other people had mentioned that as well. We have curbside recycling here so it all goes into a large city can, and they pick it up every two weeks. But I'm hearing reports now that recycling is a sham and the trash is being dumped in landfills or worse out to sea. So I'm not sure it's doing anything positive at this point. Less consumption is the only effective way to minimize trash and this includes food shopping. I grow a decent percentage of my food and use solar power as I can. It's dependent on weather and the weather hasn't been all that great for solar for months. The downside to these so-called renewables. Believe me, I love my solar power, but it's not reliable. And, of course, all that stuff is made using toxic mining practices and slave labor...mostly children, so in reality the things touted as "environmentally friendly" are in reality quite harmful. We have a saying here that goes "You are the carbon they want to eliminate." Just ask the Dutch Farmers. They know all about it.
I liked your shopping trip. Good job!! I lived near an IKEA for years. Good idea for me to check out online items now that I live in a more rural area. Thanks for reminding me. Keep up the good work Patty❤
Hey, great video and fun to hear you pronounce the names, I am Swedish :) and I just got into sewing. So I need these types of videos, tack så mycket (thanks very much :)
Thank you so much Morgana! The Swedish language is so interesting to me ,and I love learning about your beautiful country and culture. And do love Ikea and how it streamlines a small living space. Now is a great time to learn how to sew. Both to make repairs to existing clothing and housewares but also to sew quilts and blankets and items like that for getting through the winter. Tack för att du tittade och trevligt att träffa dig! (I hope that's correct as I used google translate.)

Thank you so much Brenda! I sounds like a fun day! I appreciate you watching!
Something i started recently is i put a clear plastic candy jar from the dollar tree next to my sewing machine to put scraps into. Its turning out to be such a cute little addition to my desk.
That's a great idea!! I imagine it to be so fun and cheery! Thanks for sharing!
I would love to see these things at use in your house!
thanks for the suggestion Sara!! I was wondering what to make as a followup video to this one since so many people are finding me with this one.
@@PattymacMakes thank you. I look forward to it. 🥳 Have a great weekend!

You done good for your first time, or any time. I haven’t been to ikea for years, and you are very inspiring. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Janice! I love going and it's definitely time for me to go back!
Great look around Ikea at sewing containers. Would have liked to have seen a bit of a look at everything you bought set up in your sewing room😊.
Thank you! I'll work on it!
I have never shopped at IKEA either. The only one i have ever seen was in Bloomington MN.. and we didnt go in.
Great video! Never been 2 IKEA. Thank u for sure he tour.
@@lwosw5197 Thanks for watching!! I am so happy you enjoy it!
And here I am wondering whether you make mj brownies... Nope only spinach 😂😂😂
LOL!!!! I had to think about that one! It is newly legal in my state, but currently I'm sticking to spinach.
@@PattymacMakes didn't want to compromise your channel. I'm new subscriber. Love your tips. Wish we had IKEA in our country.
@@Grace_x68 Oh it's ok!! It's kind of funny which is why I showed it the way I did. Welcome to the channel! I do so appreciate you subscribing. IKEA is just so awesome. I love all my furniture from them.
Nice trip, Patty. I like that you can show us items without having to buy them. Thanks! From Cheryl in AZ
It’s funny we watch other people walk through and show store shelves so I decided to do my version. It’s a modern version of window shopping!
I LOVED this video!!!! Holy cow I paid $12 for one magazine holder at Target 😭
Thank you!!! Yeah i love Ikea!
Thank you very much! As someone who is 3-4 hours away from the nearest IKEA store I truly enjoyed shopping with you!
Thank you Debbie!! I’m so happy it was enjoyable!!
I'd love to see how you are using the items to corral your scraps! Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!!! I will definitely show you how I use everything!! When i get a handle on my scraps I’ll show you what I’m doing.
Thank you for the ideas. Your video helped me figure out a better wall system for my zippers (I don’t like what I currently have and have been trying to figure out something better for 1 1/2 years!)
I'm really happy it helped! I think it's a constant process to figure out where to put everything. I change stuff all the time.
Love, love LOVED this video!! Thank you for sharing your take on some storage ideas!!!
Thank you Connie!
I loved your video. You did wonderfully. I've never been to an Ikea and have wondered forever. So, thanks very much.
Thank you Pauline!! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I am definitely over due to go back again.
Loved the store tour and ideas of the carts and containers. I’m not good at looking at something and saying what I can do with it. Would love you to tour again with all the ideas of tables, drawers, containers and everything good for crafting ing use!
Thanks for that suggestion Deborah! It is on my list of things to make for the channel!
Show us how you used what you bought.
I will absolutely do that! A couple of people asked about the same thing. Thanks for asking!
New subbie here! Going on a trip this week and will be going to Ikea for the first time. Can't wait to see everything in real life! 🙂 I love the jars so much. They would be great for my dried beans.

I think it’s a fun store to visit so you should definitely go check it out!
. I love IKEA. I didn’t even know they made a bigger wheels cart. I didn’t even know you could buy freeze dried spinach
They finally displayed the two sizes together which is definitely helpful. And yes the freeze dried food is interesting and so practical.
Now I need to go to IKEA and shop. Soo many nice things. Love going shopping with you!
Thank you my dear friend!! They have so many things I love!!
Love ikea. Great job with the public filming. It would have been nice to see your bins in use too!
Thank you!! And I will work on filming that next week for sure!
You did a wonderful job filming in the store and your voiceover was perfect. The baby sh*t green comment made you my new favorite UA-camr
Thank you Carol! You're very kind! I really need to get back over there. It's been almost a year since I've visited now.
@@PattymacMakes oh that’s too bad they discontinued the fabric … feel free to take me shopping anytime😊😂🥰
Came upon your video for the first time today. You seem like such a nice person. I subscribe

Well you should plan a fun over night trip to visit! I'm over due to visit ours and expect to go back in another week or so.Thank you so much for watching and leaving such a nice comment! The spinach I got from Augason farms on amazon. I should add a link for it!
Thanks for the shopping trip! I love IKEA, but unfortunately the closest one to me is 4 hours away! Have a great weekend!
I can relate!! It was the same for me until this one opened here. I had not been in 30 years! Now I love to visit.
Wow, thanks! I thought you had to go to a store to buy their products! Didn’t realize I could have them shipped. Now I can get stuff!😊
Check it through the app to verify that but I’m pretty sure you can get some things shipped.
The names are Swedish, because it is a Swedish store.
I love orange. I have always liked it. I had an orange coat in high school with a fizzy collar. 🤗
I knew someone that was Orange obsessed and it was SO MUCH. So I think I actually do like it but in smaller doses.
Thanks for your video! I haven't been to an IKEA, since we don't have any close by, so it was very interesting.
Thank you for watching!! I appreciate it!
I just found you today on UA-cam. I love your channel, you are my new favorite!❤️
Wow, thank you!
I think Ikea Is far away. I’ll have to check. I would like to get there Billy bookcases with the glass doors for my fabric.
I've seen so many great versions of Billy Bookcases. They are so flexible. I love the idea of covered storage, too.
Live in South Carolina! We don’t have an IKEA have to go to Atlanta or North Carolina to get to one! I Love IKEA but haven’t gone since Covid ! Like Atlanta better !
Oh my gosh! Well you should totally get in another visit soon! I'd like to get back over there myself. SOON!
liove ikea... but... we alll should have a pantry they we can survive on for at least 30 days... do you... and 1 gal water per person per day
Of course, but I'm not sure how enjoying Ikea is mutually exclusive from engaging in emergency preparedness.
I'm a sewer and paper crafter.
May I suggest you store your paper flat, not on it's side , as it will buckle.
Thank you for that tip!
Thank you for the in-store video! I am definitely planning a trip now! Your coughspinachcough looks gorgeous in the jar! Next #10 can I open is going in a pretty jar too!!!
lol!! I love seeing that pretty spinach in the jars!! And it’s so good in the smoothies!!
dont forget to add an oxygen absorber

What a great way to keep track of embroidery supplies! I'm so blessed to have it so close! All I can suggest is an over night trip or drive up really early and shop around, have lunch and drive back. It will be daylight savings time soon so you won't have to drive in the dark. I think it's worth doing every so often!

Does anyone know if the Canadian ikea and us carry different products?
I believe the products are the same but the pricing is going to, of course, be different.
How are you freeze drying spinach? Are you going to make a video how to do it?
Jennifer, I don't have a freeze drier. I purchased it on sale on Amazon. It's an Augason Farms product.
I have been to IKEA three times. Thanks for showing me the warehouse. I never knew how to shop there. Great job!😍
I’m really happy that helped!! I was overwhelmed the first time I went but now it’s pretty easy to find things.
Didn't get any real ideas for organizing my sewing room. Disappointing
It's specifically about using Ikea items to organize small items, so I'm not sure what your were expecting. If you leave feedback it's helpful if you describe WHAT you want instead of just complaining. This is an Ikea specific video so I understand if you don't have access to Ikea, but that's not something I can help.
The “ugly gray thing” is an under sink trash/recycling bin! 😂
LOL Thank you!!
I keep thinking you will tell us what you would use the items for…
I generally just show items and let people come to their own conclusions on how to use something. I don't necessarily purchase what I'm showing you. A lot of people simply enjoy seeing the store itself.
The names of the items are places in Sweden.
Thank you so much for letting me know!! I appreciate that and will make the update to that when I visit Ikea next time.
Thank you! I told hubs we need to make an IKEA run
It’s always fun!!! Their lunch is also pretty good.
@@PattymacMakes
I tried to order a few small things online, and no matter what I order the delivery fee would be $129.00 did not matter if it was one or 10 items. So crazy.!
Moving the phone a little to fast for me I didn’t finish watching
I'm sorry I don't have a better quality phone to use. They are so expensive and I have not been able to invest in something better.
I loved your vedio and your hair ,you are beautyfull and i so want to go to IKea
Thank you so much!! And a trip to Ikea is always a lot of fun!
@@PattymacMakes yes, I’d love to show you photos or vids of how my desk is set up and organized. How do I share that with you?

Display furniture shows up as stock on the app.
Interesting. I have not noticed that. I'll look more carefully.

@@katiegleaves3792 Thank you so much Katie! I need to go back and update my visit! I haven't been in about a year now so I'm ready!
Also where did you get the freeze dried spinach? Thank you
I find it on Amazon in the Augason Farms store.
I would have loved to see how you used the items you bought in your room

Great video. Thanks for the tips.
Thank you for watching!!
The names are Swedish names and locations.
Thank you! I wondered!
So many of these can be found at a dollar store...
I soooo need to go to an actual shop and with loads of money!!!
I would love to go shopping with loads of money!! I forget what that's like. LOL I could certainly spend it here.
Yes I like the video of IKEA. I have only been to one 1 time. I forget what a great store it is. So it reminds me to go there more often. And your place looks great and very organized. I really like IKEA , it is just not close . So I tend to forget about it. No more after seeing your video. Thanks . Have a great day.😊
Thank you!! I haven't been since I made this video and I'm missing it SO MUCH!
Oh my gosh, Jennifer!! I'm really happy you love everything too!! I honestly only share stuff I love. When I say that, it's true!
I want to go to IKEA! I think there is one two hours away!
I love going to mine!! And I'm way over due for a trip!
Nice video! New East coast subscriber-
Awesome! Thank you!
Enjoyed your Ikea video. Thank you!
Thank you for watching!
I just got the top for the utility cart. It really makes it look so neat and I use it to put my lunch or beverages on while I'm sewing.
I have one on my cart in my office. It really looks nice!! Well worth it!
I’m going to try the hack of attaching small ironing board on top, to make portable pressing area next to sewing machine.
Hi, Patty! I'm happy to find you! I've been subscribed but for some reason your videos haven't been suggested to me for weeks now. 😕
Thank you Margaret!! It was enjoyable and I'm planning to go back again soon!
I
Like IKEA. Such nice items.
I enjoy them too!
Great tour. I always forget about IKEA. They have amazing things that would be so useful. I see a trip in my future thanks to you! ❤
Thank you so much!! I actually need to get back over there myself!
The Skadis now comes in black over in the computer desk area
OH wow! I didn't know that. I'll have to look for them when I go the next time which I hope is soon!
@@PattymacMakes I use them in my sewing room to. Luckily the Memphis store ships to me
Get the chairs. Lori Holt says our sewing rooms should be CUTE, and those qualify!
LOL!!! OMG well Lori definitely knows a thing or two about cute sewing rooms!! I LOVE hers!
