  • The United States Capitol Dome, symbol of American democracy and world-renowned architectural icon, was constructed of cast iron more than 150 years ago. The Dome had not undergone a complete restoration since 1959-1960, and due to age and weather was plagued by more than 1,000 cracks and deficiencies.
With the support of the United States Congress, hundreds of expert craftsmen worked day and night to restore the Dome to its inspiring splendor.
This video celebrates the successful completion of this once-in-a-generation project: www.aoc.gov/dome

It is Shameful that ANTIFA was allowed to enter, BTW, Antifa is a Deep State funded operation, the deep state is mostly Democrat controlled and Republican as well, this is also known today as the Swamp Creatures who have all sold our Great Republic out to China, this is why they, the Dems and Deep State are panicking right now calling for impeachment that will not work and they know it, it's just noise, but it's because their deception gig is up, the illusion no longer works and their crimes against humanity are all being exposed... Nothing can stop what's coming... NOTHING and its going to be BIBLICAL... Wait for it.

So will 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025... There's some very, very deep divides in this country. Censorship isn't going to end it. Policy is not going to end it. Violence isn't going to end it. Until civility returns to the average disagreement, the wounds will not heal. It'll probably last at least a generation or two. Either an external and/or internal threat will force us to reunite, and this joke of a "pandemic" ain't it. Sadly only the very worst of tragedies healed civilizations in the past.

Great work preservation of Capitol Hill Building . Well done .
If I may , I would like to say that the piece of history about the , Statue of Freedom ,that adorns the top of the Dome of Capitol Hill Building is very interesting . I hadn't realised that the sand cast for the statue had a bit of a brief history connection with Gibraltar , in the sense that the ship carrying the cast in 1858 had travelled from Rome , Italy . And that it had to stop for repairs in Gibraltar because of a water leak . After leaving Gibraltar the Ship again started to take in water and made it no further than Bermuda awaiting transport help.
Very interesting . Thank you for having included this piece in your history of the Statue of Freedom .
    With Best Wishes .

So the team did such a terrific job it's now unnoticed except as the Capitol in terrific condition. I especially enjoy the glossiness of the paint on the dome seen from a distance - exposed marble can't do that for very long.

It was a terrible shame that it happened, but most the damage of the capital building was to the windows. Roughly between $2000 and $6000 worth of damage. Out of all the people that died that day during the tablet right only one was killed by a violent act

It looks like a roman occupation in the middle of a non-Roman nation. Everything about that building says "Rome". Why? Even the giant Roman statue in the lobby area is taller than all the other statues. Libertas is a Roman Goddess of Liberty, but still a Roman Goddess none the less. There is a Libertas statue as the top of the Rotunda on the outside. The picture at the top of the rotunda on the inside is full of creepy imagery. 5 Roman Gods and Goddesses-Neptune, Libertas, Mercury, Menerva and Ceres. The whole things just says to me that Rome some how has control over this nation. And by Rome, I guess it would probably have more to do with the Vatican than the country of Rome since Rome itself is not really very important these days except for the Vatican. I would have loved to think that America was it's own nation with it's own ideas, but it just looks like all the imagery screams that we are a Roman colonization of some kind. I've heard rumors of such, but didn't really want to believe it. Now that I've seem the capitol building it seems a lot more obvious.

Texas guy, give me a break you need to get rid of that Ted Cruz he violated public trust he needs to be given the boot out. Just because you think America is the greatest country in the world doesn't mean it can keep that title without work and justice, that would include telling the facts and truth. The left wants to make America better and work hard at keeping peace what about you?

@@sa-iw4dr also the United States is the greatest country in the world, and the left does not want to make it better. The radical left is actively trying to make the United States worse by calling every single thing racist sexist homophobic etc. without any evidence. Remember the radical left also called the President of the United States a racist for supporting the exact same policy that Barack Obama also supported not even 10 years earlier.
