One big change I see is the change from top load to bridge pin for stringing method. It really does open up more possibility for modification, so I really love the change.
I wish they’d offer more colours, I like the limited edition nocturne blue Jim Dandys they released a year or two ago, a nocturne blue concert with a white and chrome deltoluxe would look great :)
Just got my Gretsch Jim Dandy dreadnaught Rex Burst today, and its great for the money! I love it! Its not a J45 but it doesnt have to be its got a great sound anyway and its easy to play except i havent player for awhile so my fingers are gonna get a bit sore but mine came well setup, action isnt too high, no sharp frets, gonna buy the deltoluxe pickup next when i can and its gonna be perfect

is the "deltoluxe" any different from the Gin Rickey previously out?

Yes the parlor is the smallest one then the concert then the slope shoulder.
