    Why not to put the reagent directly without waiting 24 hours 🤔??
    Is the 24 h for the bacteria to grow or what?

    May I ask a question? Is there any possibility that Escherichia coli having a negative results in Indole and positive results in Citrate? If anyone know, please kindly answer my question. Thanks a lot!

      It is possible but very rare.

      I seen a study that found a rare strain of E. coli that was citrate positive.
