My wife is a retired groomer and is addicted to watching you now that she is physically incapable of doing it herself. Her last day of work she had to go to the ER to get her scissors cut off her hand. Her arthritis has just ruined her hands. She says you are one of the most talented groomers shes seen since school. Good on you, madam Croy.

Wow, I am so so sorry to hear that. You tell her, that is why I made the www.dogupstand.com because those groomers who tell me "I don't need assistance" "I have a helper" or ones I've seen at conventions, who say, "my hand is fineeeeee".... I'm like "be honest man" it's not "FINE" we ALL know the wear and tear it takes to do this job (like a barber and barbress too) and it's a lot on us. One day, I'm not going to be able to carry on either, so my impression on the groomers, I hope, helps many. Thank you for your story and sharing the REAL! Means a lot to me!

Dee, I’ve been watching your videos for several months now. I’m an animal care technician at a shelter in Connecticut and everything you’ve taught me has really helped me to help make my longer haired, matted, neglected dog and cat friends more comfortable and every time they leave the table, you can see how much they appreciated getting their painful mats removed and cleaned up. They look and act like new pets afterwards. Every time I have a friend on the table I think of you and you’ve helped me make more of a difference. This video really hit home for me. Thank you so much for everything. Boo looks beautiful!!! Her demeanor changed so much from beginning to end - she came in panting and stressed from her transport and became so calm towards the middle and end. I’m saving up so I can get some clippers and gear from you that are geared towards grooming and not just surgery prep shaves.

They were so good with him and he even liked their dog (he was a smaller dog and got attacked by bigger dogs so he did not like dogs). Thank you so much for caring for dogs and customers this much. I'm not sure if it is appropriate to comment like this 😂 sorry if I say something wrong.
I'm a depressed person with anxiety disorder as well. I found your videos and I know that you're a veteran and the way you care for the dogs you groom, how you work hard to get an income with something that you really passionate about without being influenced by money and fame, and his you just being yourself and your courage on telling owners that they need to brush their dog every single day different parts a day it's just really inpsiring and really help me a lot. Sorry if I'm weird :( I'm not good in communicating. But it doesn't stop me from sending you this message as I want you know you have made an impact in my life and in my healing. I'm currently on rehab at home. Unable to work nor go out. I rescued a stray pup on a road side and she is now with me for 3 weeks already and she had been me so much to cope with my depression. I wish I could save more animals and I really love your videos and it really do helpful and entertaining at the same time. Thank you Dede :)

You do such a great job and I cannot believe how quickly you work! I love that you let the client know about her front left limb soreness and ear infection too!
If you don't mind me saying, I love that you took samples of the stuff in her ears but it had cleaning solution on it. If you take a few swipes of the "gunk" before you start cleaning then the vet would be able to analyze it. This is coming from a place of love btw! Not hurtful criticism. I was a vet tech for years and when dogs came from the groomers with already clean ears but previously had infections per the groomer, the vet always wished that the client or groomer hadn't even cleaned the ears so that he/she could get an accurate sample to run an ear cytology. I hope this can help in the future!

I know you will never see this but you do amazing work! My mom had a chow chow she just left tied out all the time, wasn't allowed in the house. This was my dog from childhood and after I moved out my mom would just feed and water her. I was not allowed to take the dog because she paid for it. I would go and groom my Sweetie 6 times a year and I felt like it wasn't fair. She would get matted so bad because no one would even pet her. I hated seeing her matted and sunstained, she was an amazing dog and fully house trained. By no means am I claiming to be a groomer but I was the only person who could get that close to her.

No idea how I ended up watching your videos, I think I got lost in UA-cam, but I am so glad I found this channel!! These videos have been so interesting that I ended up watching five of them in under two days. I am a barista so I never had any interest in grooming pets until watching your videos... I think these videos are fantastic!! As are you!

Yup, she is absolutely a Schnoodle. Such a sweet and gentle disposition and such a cute little face! I wish I could see her once her wirey-wavy coat comes back and her face starts to develop that Schnauzer 'stache.

I love watching your videos. I don't do grooming but I love animals and I like to see their new looks. I grew up with 2 schnauzers and my mom learned how to do a schnauzer cut when they were young to save money. By the time I was 11 or so, she had taught me and I groomed them too. :)

Twenty dogs a day? That is insane. I wish I could still groom but those days are long gone. I can't even clip nails anymore. I really admire your work as a groomer. The dogs are really lucky to have you groom them.

Oh my your videos are absolutely incredible. I don't have a dog but i'm here because I won't to know the amount of work it takes to take care of one. The more I see your videos, the more I want a dog. Thanks for having so many educational videos on youtube for beginners like me. You're incredible. Cheers from Switzerland 😄.

We fought ear infections with my Lab, and were getting discouraged. Then our new vet took a sample and looked at it microscopically. The dog had yeast and bacterial infections, and she had him on several pills and ointments and ear wash. We followed instructions exactly, and IT WORKED. Don’t give up...see your vet, and ask for an ear exam with the microscope if he doesn’t suggest it!

What a difference in before and after. She’s got a lovely temperament and thank God it seems she’s going to a good forever home. I noticed from the start she had pain somewhere on that front left paw. It might be her joint but definitely needs checking by a vet I agree. I would have loved to have seen her owners’ reaction when she saw her!

I have only (so far) watched this video. Besides being interesting on how you handle the dogs, your sort of firm, matter of fact manner is comforting to me. I do not have a pet so I watch all kinds of dog and cat channels from rescue to graphic operations and the animals getting forever homes. But I have not watched the groomer vids.....like the others these really relax me from my anxiety, depression, and some agoraphobia. So when you make your vids, know that you are helping people in ways like myself in addition to instruction and sharing your pro knowledge. Thank you so much for your sharing.

Boo is so cute. I love to watch your videos, although I have no intentions of being a groomer. I lost my Bichon Frise at 13 years old March of 2018. It breaks my heart to see the condition of these dogs that haven't been taken care of. You're an angel.

While a previous injury could be the cause of her paw reaction, dogs can believe it or not can be ticklish! And its not always every paw.

Wow, great job on Boo!! I have chin poo. With a curly tail though. That looks like her!! And he is the same temperament!! She is such a very good girl . Those clients got a little blessing in a fur baby!! Very sweet dog for just being rescued and traveling and grooming. That's a long day!! And she was adorable in the end!!
