Such a cool idea. Quick question: Does the Gardena Aquastop connector close only when the tank side is pressurized, or even without pressure? Wondering what happens when the shower hose is disconnected and the canister falls over on its side. Does the canister slowly empty itself into the car? Wondering if I should buy the Gardena system or the 30$ connector that many in the US are using with their Scepter tanks. Thx in advance!
Cheers mate !! It was great DIY project however if its up to me now, I would save up and get a pre-made one from on-tap or Ryobi weed sprayer. Much more versatile and not to mention time saving. But if you enjoying DIY by all means. To answer your question I don’t use it anymore in my setup but pretty sure it will last for a while:) and not to mention repairing it would be super easy since you built it ;)
Unfortunately no adhesive will stick to heavy polypropelene (food grade) Of which these jerry cans are made from. Only rubber washer seals work when tightened. Guaranteed it will leak. Sorry for the bad news.
Such a great idea. I used a Scepter water can from amazon with a larger opening to make the internal bit installation easier
How did it turned out ? Keen to know !!
GREAT! On cold Colorado mornings I also add a pot of boiling water to the cold water to make washing up tolerable @@campingmates
